I asked the painters how long they'd need to be staying, after their ladders showed little regard for the tree providing the van's shade, and responses from the dreadlocked white guy in charge were rude and hostile. "I'll stay as long as I like." OK, legally your right, buddy. I like my neighbor, and I hope he does a good job painting her house, but I won't be using or recommending this company anytime soon. BCP coated the south and west sides with Loxon XP to lighten and weatherproof the stucco and exposed masonry. Gilbert's estimate was fast and detailed. The scheduling communication excellent. That alone says a lot. This was not a small job. We're talking full interior refresh: walls, trim, doors, cabinets--floor to ceiling, everything. And from start to finish, William and his crew were exceptional. They showed up on time every single day (sometimes early... and politely waited outside until it was time to come in). Professional, kind, respectful--every interaction. They even took their shoes off without being asked. That level of care matters. They worked fast, but never sloppy. Clean, organized, detail-oriented. And when I say they put everything back exactly as it was--I mean it. Which is saying something, because I didn't exactly make that easy on them. The end result? Terrible experience with Melton Design and Build. This company is completely disrespectful and…read moreirresponsible. They show zero consideration for their customers or the neighbors. Instead of parking responsibly near their job site, they repeatedly block neighbors' driveways--sometimes up to five trucks at once. They leave junk scattered all over the neighborhood and have blocked elderly and disabled neighbors from reasonable access to their homes. When asked politely to move their vehicles, they respond with mockery rather than respect. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before hiring this company.

okay, i am almost too afraid to write this review, as the businesses that provide Handyman services…read morein this town, are highly unresponsive, and certainly act as if they are doing YOU a favor, by even taking your call. it must be nice to have so much business that you can treat potential new customer so poorly. anyhow, Cesar, the owner of CMR, returned ,my e-mail in less than six hours with a phone call asking what he could do for me. he came to the house two days later and returned a bid less than two days later. amazing service for what has been my experience. yes there was a scheduling issue, that was his fault, but he took 10% off the final bill, to make up for that. so how was the work? the crew arrived right at 9 AM as they said they would and tore apart our shower, as we were afraid it was leaking. Cesar showed me that the drain pan was rusting out, and there was no water damage under the shower floor. he returned the next day and completed the work, and actually put things back together better than the original builders. the bill was more than reasonable and we are quite pleased with the courtesy that was shown to us, the manner in which they left the bathroom when they finished, both for the day and the task itself, it was IMMACULATE, no clean-up left for us to do. although i hate to do it, i would recommend Cesar and his crew to any homeowner like me, who lacks the necessary skills to do much more than changing a light-bulb. all in all, we will be calling them again, when we need more work done around the house.
