So I've never had a bad experience with Steve until today. Ridiculous right. Ok so today I came in pleasant as usual sat down I get the same length, same shape every time for 55$ all of a sudden today it's 65$ so I asked him did they go up he said no I checked my debit card to see what the price was and of course my transanctions said 55$ so I showed him now of a sudden the 55$ length is shorter then what I normally get so I told him to cut them down, he cut my real nail without even asking so I told him I didn't want that nail cut he told me it doesn't matter oh wow so I said it does matter to me because I didn't ask you to cut that nail you shoulda asked first. He got mad because I called him out about going up on the price all while he was lying talking about he didn't go up I even showed him my bank statement proof that I was being charged $55 for the length I've been getting since forever. He tried to get smart talking bout why you ask for me I didn't ask for you I came in and sat down. so I'm sitting soaking my nails he goes if you're not gonna soak your nails you can leave I replied I'm not going nowhere they were put on here and imma be here until they come off at this point I'm heated cause you clipped my real nail without even asking so I told him you can't get mad because you got called out trying to lie about the cost of the nails and also trying to charge me 7$ a week ago for one nail. As a result of him being called out he didn't wanna do my nails anymore so I'm currently soaking them off to go somewhere else. He can only do regular nails anyway can't do no design of no sort just put nails on and regular polish shit I won't be missing nothing at all

What can I say about the Venue... I lived in Sumter in 2005-2007 and Sarah Beth was my go to…read morelady... She is one of the few people in the world who could do my hair... Seriously, top 3 in the world. I was in town staying with friends before leaving the country again and stopped in to see if she was still there... Man am I lucky! Not only is she still there, but she fit me in last minute before my trip. Even better? How many hairdressers do you know that keep a client book that goes back 10 years? She does... We needed to repeat a process we did back then and she had the exact formula we used. How can I not love this place? It's still cute, still smells good, still does trendy hair and it's still in Sumter. I'm moving back to SC... I'll be making the drive to Sumter to see Sarah Beth and get my hair done!

I've had mall haircuts most of my life and they've always been hit or miss. In 2007, I decided to…read moretry a real salon. It was great even though I was spending a minimum of $70 each visit. I quickly got used to quality haircuts. Sooooo, when I moved to Sumter, I was nervous because it does not look like a place with good salons. I figured that I would have to get my hair done in Columbia. However, I read a review of the Venue and gave it a shot. When I went there, I asked for a stylist with modern, cutting-edge skills. I didn't want a crazy hairstyle, but I did want someone who had some serious training. They suggested Michael B. He is awesome! And, I've heard only good things about the rest of the stylists. My haircut usually costs $35 plus tip, which I feel is a bargain.
