A very nice Mexican food fix for us. We're Texans living in Florida and vacationing in Washington. We'd be thrilled to have Sergio's in the Orlando area! Salsa was fresh, shrimp were huge, refried beans were excellent and Mike really enjoyed the beef fajitas. I didn't get a chance to try them because I was so full from the Camarones de Crema. Very happy that we ate lunch here at this cute traditional Mexican place. Decent size inside, looked like about 6 tables and 6 booths. Good Latin music playing, helps to keep the vibes positive, very colorful with parrots and art as well. The food is VERY fresh and VERY good. Chips and tortillas came out steaming hot, I love that. You can taste the difference. I tried Sergio's platter which has many items (carne asada chile relleno, taquitos, enchilada), as well as some carnitas, all of which was delicious. I was in there yesterday with my family for my birthday lunch and ordered their Super Nacho plate. I regretted it for the rest of the night. One of the best Mexican food I have eaten, I ordered the three combo plate, Chimichanga, Chile Relleno, Taco with small salad and refried beans. I ate the leftovers for lunch. Everything was fresh. Always enjoyed Sergio's but something has changed the last couple times. The food had taken a turn not for the better. The refried beans are salty, the red sauce has become bland, the cheese doesn't melt, the carne asada was tough. After a damp, chilly Memorial Day weekend camping at Dungeness Spit some warm, gooey Mexican food was what our bellies were in desperate need of and this place delivered. Lured in by the pics of those that have come before us and the solid ratings we decided to stop here before heading to the ferries and joining the rest of Seattle on the migration home. We were seated promptly and served with warm chips and salsa...they brought a second round after we gobbled up basket 1. The food was ready quick, served hot, and the burrito and enchilada sauces were so flavorful and tasty. We stopped in and were able to take advantage of their lunch special (11-3, I think?). Good options for kiddos too! We all cleaned our plates. It's your classic family Mexican restaurant ambience with happy, healthy plants, lively music, and colorful (wooden) parrots hanging from the ceiling. Reminded us a tiny bit of the Tiki Room! I got called a "gringo Marico" dunno what that means but it was good food. Service was good, except I was being laughed at because they gave me mild salsa and it made me sweat. I can't say enough great things about this place. I've eaten here a couple of times with my family and the food NEVER disappoints. My favorite is the ceviche and the street style asada tacos. The staff is super friendly, and the service is exceptional. This place sometimes gets PACKED but there is a good reason for it. So grateful that this restaurant is in Sequim. read more

Popped in for a quick dinner with the family after a long day of sightseeing. We were craving the food of a family-style Mexican restaurant, and the reviews here seemed solid. Super nice staff seated us promptly. The chips and salsa came quickly, and the salsa itself was delicious. You can tell they have a special house recipe and they have perfected it. Our server brought out our margaritas and was helpful in explaining the different flavors available -- and yes, they can be served blended or on the rocks. I got the two taco and enchilada combo with rice and beans. First off, the refried beans are always one of my favorite part of Mexican food, and these hit the spot. On their own or on a chip, you cant go wrong dipping into them. the rice was tasty, fluffy and not dehydrated or crunchy. The tacos were tasty, I had one chicken and one beef taco; the chicken is the stewed chicken breast type and very tender. The beef taco was pretty good, but just be aware by standard, it is ground beef. If you want carne asada or shredded beef, be sure to specify. I loved my chicken enchilada too, but they never really disappoint. All together, I felt the meal was a good value when taste, portion size, and cost are taken into consideration.
