Found this place on Yelp that had many reviews. We reached here for late brunch/ lunch. It was beautiful old fashioned interiors and all the servers were wearing beautiful dresses. We ordered an omelet with mushroom sauce and another omelet with tomato sauce. The mushroom one was good. Both the omelets came in with a side of potato pancakes. We even ordered freshly squeezed orange juice. This place had toilets with wheelchair assistance and a diaper changing station too. Our baby was given toys, coloring sheets, and colors and her chair was attached to our table.

Top-Eggs Benny w/fries, side bacon, Below-Eggs Benny country style w/potato pancakes, Bloody Mary, coffee, good but $90w/tip for breakfast??

Had to revisit this place after our great meal about 15 years ago. Everything looked and felt as though only a year had passed. Staff super friendly, sadly like everywhere else the prices have risen greatly over time. Hubby ordered the classic Eggs Benny w/ fries instead of hash browns w/coffee. I ordered Eggs Benny Country Style on a croissant instead of muffin. Each were a whopping $20.50! (For an old school cafe that's high.... if it was a fancier water view place or maybe a fresh crab or salmon Benny sure.) Mine came with their grated potato pancakes. I asked about the sausage gravy since it came with a mushroom sauce so she brought me a small side but realized later was charged 3.25. They advertise their bacon as premium thick sliced from Seattle butcher, hickory smoked weighing over 1/2lb for 4 slices (9.00) it was good but honestly looked and tasted like a standard good bacon. We were expecting something more like decadent crispy pork belly for the price and description. Hubby enjoyed his meal, but eggs Benny should have a soft yolk and both of ours were cooked past that. Our server was so sweet we didn't want to complain. Coffee $5 but was good blend and ended up buying a bag they offer at register for $12 from local roaster down the street. My meal was good.... but unsure about the mushroom sauce and I love them. It was like this underlying slight sour taste that kept me from really enjoying it. The potato pancakes were different from what I recall. I thought they were more like latkes with a crispy potato taste/texture but these are so finely grated that you can't even detect they are shredded potatoes. It was more like a super thin buckwheat flavor to me, unique but was good with the yummy applesauce & sour cream. I ordered a Bloody Mary $12.50 was flavorful didn't feel any alcohol but fine. We enjoyed our meal for the most part, couple of slight disappointments but the prices are so extreme I don't know how people can afford eating breakfast here. Our bill with tip came to $90!!!! That's just crazy. I saw on the menu the price for side items like $4.75 for ONE EGG??? $5.95 for TOAST??? Wowza, Sorry but it just takes the enjoyment out of dining. That's just being greedy to your loyal customers.

Eggs Casey, sauce on side... forgot to pic the pancake

Of course you need to fuel up here before your hikes.... Everything was delicious. I ordered the mushroom sauce on the side of my Eggs Casey. The sauce is tasty and would not worry me to have it on top (sometimes it's too much)- not this! The side of pancakes are just fluffy and tasty. We didn't order the apple pancake- but will tomorrow when we return!

Possibly the best breakfast I've had in Washington! At first, we were a bit apprehensive about the price (around $15-20 per entree), but once the food came out we were astonished by the portion size. The apple pancakes were especially massive and could feed 3-4 people. Not only were the portion sizes generous, the food was tasty too. The apple pancakes had so many textures: crumbly brown sugar, crisp crusts, stewed apples, and custardy interior. The omelet was also one of the fluffiest omelets I have ever had. I would go out of my way to get breakfast here again.

This place is amazing and I wish it was closer to home. Came for breakfast and beat the crowd (line out the door when we left). The decor is really unique - kind of a mix of 1980s, grandma-chic, and classy. Our waiter was super nice and gave us recommendations because we were torn on what to get. We tried a huge assortment of things and loved everything - apple pancake (YUM), german pancake aka dutch baby as I've heard them called (great), biscuits & gravy (grandpa loved it), regular pancakes (great), and a couple other wonderful dishes. Great coffee from a local roaster. We will absolutely come back here.

Very creative breakfast menu. There was quite a crowd, but they gave us 10-15 minutes wait time and seated us in less than 10 mins. blueberry buttermilk pancake - rating: 4/5 western omelette with mozzarella cheese and side of potatoes - rating: 4.5/5 Drinks were good too- mimosa and mocktail sangsria.

We always enjoy our food at Oak Table cafe! Jon ordered a soy milk latte with sugar-free vanilla while I ordered a fresh squeezed OJ with separate glass of ice. For breakfast, Jon ordered a garden egg white scramble with fresh fruit and Jon ordered the apple pancakes! OMG! Everything was sooooo yummy and my Apple pancakes were so huge, I'm definitely getting g two meals out of it! Service is always super nice and today was no exception! The guy at a table next to ours also remarked how nice the waitstaff is! Great place for breakfast!

We went here off the recommendation from a coworker who had went here on a trip. Wow!!! This is perhaps the best breakfast place we've been to. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. Decor is similar to the 80s which is nice for a change. Service was prompt and friendly. But the food is where it shines. Bacon was AMAZING!! Apple pancakes were AMAZING!! The coffee was great! There was nothing bad about it!

Wow wow wow, what a fantastic restaurant. Came here for breakfast and their menu is extensive and mouth watering. Their bacon is cut by the butcher, are thick and great. French toast and buttermilk pancakes were so delicious. Their coffees?? So good! Probably the best mocha I've had. They also have alternative milks. Staff was so sweet and the way they interacted with their locals? So awesome. Loved the ambiance, wish I could've stayed longer

The ambiance is the first thing that stands out. I can see how many would feel that it is outdate or old, but my wife and I found it charming and incredibly warm. The staff are super friendly and are definitely on top of the coffee. I don't think my wife's cup ever got lower than halfway before she got asked if she wanted a top off. My wife got their Eggs benedict while I had their Omelets special and we split a plate of their bacon. Firstly the positives, the mushroom hollandaise sauce for the eggs benedict was phenomenal and I really loved the home made sausage. Their buttermilk pancakes were also fantastic, and I overheard another patron ask for apple syrup, which I regret not getting. Lastly the bacon. My wife and I have an ongoing argument on the perfect crispiness of bacon, and I think they've really nailed it here. Things that I felt could've been improved. I've never had potato pancakes before, so I can't make any comparison. But these felt like soft hashbrowns that were a little too oily. The bacon although amazing, came only in 4 strips, which for almost 10$ felt like the portion size could've been slightly larger, but I acknowledge that they use a local butcher. And although their French omelet is indeed massive and fluffy, presentation could be improved on and it included a large amount of raw onions which I think could've been balanced someway so it wasn't so sharp. All in all a positive experience and if we're ever back in the area I would love to try their apple soufflé pancakes.

Inside the restaurant you can see the wonderful craftsmanship

Homemade batter, specialty cut bacon and they make their own applesauce? Here is what you want to try- bacon bacon bacon. Also try the Eggs Benny. This was so good with homemade whole wheat muffin paired with mushroom gravy and a perfectly poached egg. Not a big potato pancake guy but slathered in sour cream and homemade applesauce created the perfect flavor. Great food, good service and a charming ambiance= must try I didn't get a chance to try their pancakes but I was told they are terrific!! Shoutout to my cousins for the recommendation

Oak table cafe is one of my favorite places ! They also have a location in Bremerton. Anytime I'm on the peninsula, this seems to be everyone's place to go- whether Bremerton or all the way out in Sequim! My really good friend, Austin, is a regular here and knows lots of the staff. They are all very kind and service is great. You really feel like you're part of a community family here!

Fluffy Apple Pancake, Thick Sliced Bacon, Western Omelette, Smoked Salmon Benedict, Buttermilk Pancakes, and Eggs Casey
    Cynthia T.

This can be a busy place on the weekend for good reason. We arrived around 10am on Sunday and were seated after about 20 minutes. The wait was worth it. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Orders were taken promptly after water and coffee was served. Our favorites were the special apple pancake, the side of thick bacon and the mushroom gravy covered eggs Casey. The smoked salmon Benedict and western omelette were good. This is a cozy, comforting kind of sit down place. Take your time for brunch while in Sequim!

It was sweet and buttery so I didn't even need to add syrup or butter to my French toast! Vegetable omelette was super yummy and we are super appreciative that the server was able to substitute potatoes and toast for squash due to Jon's dietary needs. The bad: They only serve drip coffee. We live in Sequim! They really need to step up their coffee game and offer lattes and expressos. I ordered OJ. They were out of OJ. Really? The ugly: My over easy eggs were UGLY.... Both eggs were broken and one was overcooked. So relieved they did good and replaced them with yummy over easy eggs. The other ugly (which caused the 4 star review) is how EXPENSIVE this restaurant is. Jon ordered a vegetarian omelette $18 plus $3 salsa plus $3 avocado plus $3 change of potato and toast to squash. Really? His one omelette order cost $27 before tax! $30 after tax!

We stopped in on Thanksgiving Day for breakfast, and even though they were packed, the kitchen still delivered. I ordered the classic breakfast--crispy bacon, perfectly done eggs, golden hashbrowns with just the right crunch, and an English muffin. Everything tasted fresh, familiar, and comforting. My friend had the biscuits and gravy with meat, and it was exactly what you want on a chilly Washington morning: hearty, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Service was friendly, but with the holiday rush it was definitely a bit chaotic. We had to track someone down for coffee refills, which wasn't a huge deal but worth noting. Aside from that, the overall experience was great. If you're craving solid comfort food and a welcoming, down-to-earth vibe, Mariner Café is an easy recommendation--especially on cold days when you just want something warm and delicious. When my meal arrived, the scramble ordered with egg whites only had bits of egg shell. I'm not sure how they got there, but it was I little like Russian Roulette as every third bit or so contained a tiny little egg shell piece. It was off putting. The potato hash accompanying the egg shell scramble was too greasy to have. Combine this food with a slightly combative server and you get a terrible and, in my case, unforgivable experience.
