Called the other day being that I was interested in purchasing a Cuban link chain, and unfortunately, whoever that older man was who answered the phone. He basically said they had nothing to look at. He was literally telling me not to waste my time He said to call in a couple of weeks. I really didn't understand why I even bothered calling. Sergio and his Dad created a truly amazing wedding ring for my wife. Unfortunately, she misplaced the ring about a year ago. I reached out to Sergio and asked him if they would be able to make a replacement ring, as this was a one of a kind ring. About 3 months later, the replacement ring was ready. The older gentleman that was there was extremely rude and wouldn't even give me an estimate for repairs I needed on two bracelets. Said he wouldn't know how much until he worked on it and that it was going to be even more expensive if we wanted it done while we waited. He didn't seem all there upstairs. The worse customer service I've received from a jeweler, ever. They do not honor agreements they make and if they make a mistake, they will make the customer pay for their mistake or the customer can "go elsewhere". Customer satisfaction is at the bottom of their priority list. When you express your dissatisfaction, they get very rude, and will even sarcastically respond with some crap about being in business since 1980, as if that's relevant to the poor service they're giving me today. I would really recommend this Jewelry store. It's family owned, honest an outstanding work. Sergio really knows what his doing. I had a ring that's 20 years old, which my daughter had gone to a different Jewelry store to get fixed. They charged her 150.00 and they gave it back to her in a really bad condition, worse then what she gave it to them. Sergio looked at the ring and stated he was going to do the best he could. Not promising anything, I was in shock. The ring looked like new, like it never had been broken. Charging way less then the other jeweler. I have been going to Sergio's for over 20 ears. All my gold comes from here. I also bought my grandchildren's earrings and baby bracelets from here also. My earrings come from here also with different color stones. He also makes his own styles of earrings and rings, etc. I also bring a lot of gold items for him to repair. I have had many rings with a lot of stones whether it be diamonds or rubies, etc. I told him what I wanted and he made me up another beautiful ring using the stones and gold. He also made my name plate necklace thicker with gold, and made up name plates for all my children. He is VERY talented and knows what he is doing. But, the most important thing and you can trust them with your jewelry as they are very honest people. Its a mom and pop business and they treat you like family. I enjoy going there. I will no longer waste my time. I remember as a child walking in and seeing a man working on Jewelry in the back and when you walked in he would stop what he was doing and come out and help you with whatever you needed then take your items and go back to his work in the back. Even as a young adult I remember this type of atmosphere in the store. Very mom and pop......Now I walked in and I see no one working in the back and everyone pushing sales of jewelry at the counters. First I had to wait outside for someone to leave before they would even let me in the store... I wait my turn patiently as I watch everyone pushing sales. I told the gentleman attending me I had some cleanings and some watches and some repairs...(talking 30+ items total that he never even looked at) before I could say anything else he cuts me off in Spanish saying " I'm not a watchmaker I don't do watches. and Look how busy we are if you need cleanings come back in a few days." I responded to him "well I could leave the cleanings with the repairs and pick them all up together"... again "but look how busy I am, please just come back during the week, weekends are to busy." Shocked... I took my items and walked out, all the while thinking to myself "that was a waste of time. this is not the same store I grew up going to". I will say he was NOT RUDE in any way. But it was very clear that making sales was more important than repairs at that moment. he didn't even want to look at the repairs. And seeing as I don't care for that style of Jewelry and I'm not free during the week as he suggested.... I don't see a reason to continue to go back. I would have been the 3rd generation from my family to take business to Sergio's....Guess thing change. read more
