Sergio's is well maintained and inviting as you walk in the door. There were a few people standing around the hostess station, staff and customers. No one greeted us at first, so we were not sure what was going on. After a few minutes, we were sat at a booth. As usual, the place is clean and lovely inside. The service here is second to none. It is almost too good. There are servers and support staff checking on your often. You never wait for anything. My problem with Sergio's is the food. My hubby gets the same thing every time and he loves it. I have yet to order something off the menu that had me thinking "I would get that again." Today it was my Mexican restaurant favorite, Camarones Ala Diablo. The portion was large, the presentation was a bit messy but OK. The sauce was spicy and flavorful, but the shrimp were cooked way, way too long. Two beers and two dinners were $37, so the prices are OK. read more

Go someplace else in Klamath for Mexican. The place is dark and odd. The service is ok, the food is just ok. Nothing special. Best part was that we pulled a huge, dark hair out of the salsa. We almost got up and left at that point, in hindsight we should have. We informed our server about the hair, he looked confused as to why we were telling him. He brought us fresh chips and salsa and said "we will take care of it". He kept coming back to the table and asking if we wanted more soda, almost oddly frequently. Well, when we got the bill we had $9.00 worth of soda. Seems each soda is $1.50 with no free refills. I don't remember seeing this on the menu but in the least the waiter could have pointed it out or maybe even only charged us for one soda since there was a huge hair in the salsa. Puke. For Memorial Day weekend arrived during rush dinner hour, was seated promptly and at a great table! Service was lighting fast, again it was packed, with many folks out from work early that day, but the wait staff was incredibly synced and backed each other up tremendously! Sergio's was highly recommended to me by a local while I was working in K Falls for a short time. Coming from Texas, I have a discerning taste for Mexican Food, so I have to admit I was skeptical, but this place hooked me. Every item I've ordered here had its own unique sauce that enhanced the taste very well. The salsa they served with their chips to build your appetite was especially delicious and had a complex, deep burn. My house margarita was just about perfect and I made the mistake of downing half of it on an empty stomach, before my food came. The place has a huge menu, including a lot of seafood items. One time, the owner came out to ask me how I liked the food. I was buzzing pretty good from the afore-mentioned margarita on an empty stomach incident, and I was surprised to actually be talking to the owner, AND my mouth was full, but I managed to get something out about how much I loved the hot sauce. I've been coming to Sergio's for as long as I can remember. I usually order the same thing -- fajitas -- at every Mexican restaurant I go to, and Sergio's' fajitas are the best. There's a healthy blend of meat and veggies, and it's always cooked to perfection. The salsa is fresh enough you can actually see the veggies in it (not just some nebulous red paste), and, like everything else on the menu, it's always delicious. We have only been to a few of the Mexican restaurants around the Klamath Falls area, when we got there we were greeted instantly by a smiling server and sat immediately. Got our chips and salsa right away. While my boyfriend and I were waiting I couldn't help to over hear someone at the next table saying how crappy this place was and that "they've changed so much". Well in my opinion this place is by far one of the best places we have ate at!! The food was well portioned, not too much and not too little. Chips and salsa was always fresh and the service was just absolutely fantastic! If you want authentic Mexican food I think this should be your first choice. Sergio's was our choice for dinner after cross-referencing the AAA Tourbook with Yelp. We got lucky and found a parking spot near the front door. Given the outside temperature at the time, I was not in the mood for a long walk. My friend observed that this was a place that serves traditional Mexican food. After chips and salsa arrived at our table, I ordered a chimichanga. It was very good. Not OMG good, but I was still very happy with the meal. My most vivid recollection of Sergio's was how quiet and serene it was inside the restaurant. There was no background music to interfere with our dining experience, nor were there any TVs turned on to distract our eyes. The staff were very nice and attentive. read more

Let me just start by saying the service here is impeccable. We ordered takeout and the second we walked through the door the manager dashed over we were immediately greeted with a friendly smile. We were in and out very quickly and felt so welcomed in the mean time.....now the food....everything we ordered was amazing (fajitas and chicken chimichanga). Everything was Cooke to perfection and still piping hot. The chicken even had grill marks which I love. The salsa was hot....but not too hot... perfect amount of spice. We're giving 2 stars for the service and decor. The food and pricing however get zero stars. We've eaten at Sergio's dozens of times in the past and everything was good, not anymore. They've recently raised their pricing by a large percentage. Along with that they changed their quality, lower by a large percentage. The food, sauce and drinks are all very weak, by weak we mean absolutely flavorless. It's apparent they are trying to save money by using the cheapest ingredients available. This was not the case until the recent interior remodel. Guess the owner overspent on remodeling, what a shame. We will not be returning and would not recommend anyone eat there. There are much better options for Mexican food in Klamath Falls. read more

Be wary of the tortilla chips. I ate here for lunch and was served chips in a plastic basket. There was no paper liner. I watched other people lucking their fingers and dabbing at the crumbs in the bottom. I asked the server how often they run the baskets through the dishwasher and he said that they don't wash them. Sergio's was recommended to us by the front desk staff at our motel. I'm a Mexican food freak, so I'm always skeptical until I confirm for myself. Well... YUMMO! My mom, who is not a huge fan of Mexican food even was thrilled. She had an enchilada suiza special. Not too spicy for her. I had a mole enchilada plate. And my house margarita was good too. Our server was very attentive to us and checked that all was good at the start of our meal, again mid-meal, and tried to talk us into dessert. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly service but that's about it. I ordered a cheese enchilada and a beef taco. My enchilada was served basically dry with just some cheese sprinkled in top.
