Serious Sanji is definitely the crown jewel of Asian food in the Boynton area. Pictured here are the Pork Soup Dumplings, Garlic Shanghai Greens, Shanghai Fried Noodles, and Crispy Chicken. This is our friend group's go-to Dim Sum stop to eat family style together, and the tab always ends up incredibly reasonably priced when split. The service and food are consistently top notch, and you honestly can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu. I would highly recommend trying the soup dumplings at least once! Ask your server and listen carefully to how you should eat them though, or else you might end up splashing your friends with sauce! (Guilty) read more

As a dim sum snob, I wouldn't come here for their dim sum items. I come here for their soup dumplings and dumplings. My daughter is usually picky with what she eats as any 4 yr old. Surprisingly, she loves eating the mini sanjis. She ate atleast 10 and that's incredible for her. It is a bit pricey for the dumplings and drink but I rather do the combo since it's a bit cheaper than getting them separately. Got the Szechuan chicken and was hoping for some veggies in it but it was only pieces of fried chicken and sautéed slices of onion and chili peppers. A bit disappointed. read more

I came here really excited because I was craving soup dumplings soooo bad. Unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. We got seated and then just sat there for about 15 minutes with no greeting or drink order request or anything at all. The place wasn't even busy, it was actually pretty empty! What made it worse was seeing a couple employees just on their phones laughing, and a few others outside chatting. It felt like we were completely ignored. After waiting we just got up and left because no one ever came over. It was a super frustrating experience especially since we were actually excited to eat there. I used to think this place was really good but lately it seems like it's gone downhill. It's not even worth the price with a messy atmosphere! It was my first time at this Serious Sanji location and the experience was great. Our server was welcoming and helped my coworker and I with our orders. The place is neatly kept and the plaza it is located in offers free parking. We ordered the beef sanji, fried noodles with beef, pork soup dumpling, cucumber salad, and spicy wonton. My husband and I love dim sum so we were incredibly excited to check this spot out. They have a dim sum robot that helps deliver the dishes, and that was a lot of fun to watch. Our favorite dishes were the char sui buns, the pork soup dumplings and the scallion packages. We didn't love the scallion noodle dish but we will definitely be back to try more noodle and rice dishes. It looks like this place is a good option for takeout as well. This is my first time at this Boynton location, we typically go to the Boca location where everything was serve yourself with QR code ordering. This location was clean and the decor was nice. More of a traditional setup with actual service which we prefer. We ordered many items to try, and while some were good, most were just average or not that great. Many of their items/sauces were too sweet, for example, their chili wontons, which shouldn't be at all. We did come across an issue with one of their dishes but they compensated us for it which I won't mention; I'm sure it's a one-off thing. I think the best items we ordered would be the soup dumplings and pan friend dumplings. I'd stay away from the scallion oil noodles, it just wasn't it (overcooked and had broth in it, while also sweet). Our waitress was great, she was attentive and friendly. Would I come back? Disappointing service. I ordered take out, it wasn't busy at all. None of my food was made at the same time so they all were different temperatures when I got them. No one checked on me to reassure me that the food was being made, they just ignored me until I had to ask them to check on it, which is when they realized it hadn't been started. The inside was cute, clean, modern. The food, although some of it lukewarm, tasted fine. The bao buns a little sweeter than they needed to be. Serious Sanji is not very consistent and this week's delivery was disappointing. We ordered the same items as we usually have and this time much of the food was pretty bad. Shrimp dumplings tasted like re-constituted shrimp or some shrimp blend product and these ended up in the trash. The beef in the Chow Fun was chewy and just could not be eaten and this too ended up in the trash. All was not negative though as a fried rice dish was good and Vegetable dumplings were okay. read more

This is my second time coming here and both times were great. The service was super fast; while they have a robot serving the food, they still have someone coming around which is very helpful. The food is really great and there's a good amount of options. It's lively but not loud which is perfect place to talk. I will definitely come back again. This was my first time trying Serious Sanji, a dumpling and dim sum spot, and my girlfriend and I came here for lunch. They have all the classics you'd expect--crystal shrimp dumplings, siu mai, and a good range of veggie dishes, which I really appreciated. We ordered the garlic stir-fried baby bok choy (delicious!) and the spicy cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was just okay--fresh, but lacking in flavor. I also had the wonton noodle soup; the wontons themselves were excellent with thin wrappers, though the broth leaned a little bland. My friend ordered the chicken soup dumplings, which were just okay--wrapper a bit too thick for my taste, though to be fair we just came back from Shanghai so my bar is pretty high. I also grabbed an order of pork soup dumplings to go. There was a station area where someone could have been making the soup dumplings by hand but I didn't see anyone there at the time I ordered. I tried their bubble tea as well--the "Full Cup Jelly Fresh." It was interesting with all the different types of bubbles and grass jelly mixed in. I got mine with 50% less sugar, which made it a nice balance without being overly sweet. Overall, for a South Florida attempt at Asian fare, they've got a solid variety of dim sum and dumplings. Some dishes really hit (the garlic greens especially), others were just average. The food was great, I especially loved the scallion pancakes, so flavorful and crisp! I enjoyed many of their dumplings. I got the "Full Cup Jelly Fresh" which is a black tea with milk and lychee jelly, I don't generally get fruit jellies with my milk tease, so this was my first, and it was amazing! I loved it! We went during opening this time. And it was a much more pleasant experience than going on an evening as there was no wait. (for comparison last time we were waiting for over an hour with the waiting list.) Our server was super friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Food came out quickly as did the drinks. Food - 3 stars. I've never been a huge fan of Cantonese cuisine. Too bland for me. I understand other tastes may differ. I ordered one of the few other dishes, a Szechuan spicy chicken, and it was spicy, indeed. Other members of my party were satisfied. No one complained, but no one was wildly enthusiastic, either. Service - 2 stars. I came as part of a party of seven. All orders went in at the same time, but the food came out over a period of at least 20 minutes (between the first to be served and the last)! Loving dimsum, and Asian food, my 20-year-old son and I decided to eat here for dinner the other night. First and foremost, the decor was super cute and very inviting. The menus were clearly displayed (with pictures in case you're not familiar with the different types of food that they offer). They have a robot that delivers your food that made for a fun experience, and there is an open area where you can watch the chefs create the food. My son and I ordered the soup dumplings, gyoza, sanji, Crystal shrimp, sui mai, and Boba teas. Everything tasted amazing! Not only were the products made well, but their dipping sauces were out of this world. I was a huge fan of their chili oil that's on the table! The beautiful thing about dim sum is that you can continue to order little plates until you feel full, and you get to taste a lot of their options! The prices were reasonable, and our meal cost at around $60. My son and I both really enjoyed our dinner here, and we will definitely be back! We had a good lunch here with a few caveats. I'd been to one of their other locations with a friend -- in Broward -- and this one was better: larger, cleaner, and with faster service. My husband ordered their hot 'n sour soup. It didn't have much personality or as he described it: American/gringo style. But he doctored it up with soy and vinegar and hot oil and then it was much better. We also got their pork and chive dumplings. You could get them steamed or fried. Our fried order was quite good. After that I wanted to try their namesake sanji. I chose the beef as I'd had pork in the gyoza. These were just okay. I liked the dough part but the inside was just a mini ball of ground meat -- with no real seasonings or flavor. They certainly didn't match the menu description "bursting with hot savory juices"! They have a large menu including appetizers and some dessert dim sum, too. Other folks dining in were enjoying the stir fries and noodle dishes. This place exceeded all my expectations! I was so excited that it opened and couldn't wait to check it out. We went on a Friday night around 7, so as expected there was a little wait. You check in on an iPad, however it was down, so we put our name in with the manager. They text you when your table is ready, and it took about 25 minutes. Our waiter was super attentive and the food did not take long at all. We ordered a bunch of different dishes to share, and each one comes out when ready. Some of our dishes even got delivered by the robot!! We had calamari, beef fries Shanghai noodles, pork sanji, bbq pork buns, and chicken soup dumplings. Everything was absolutely delicious! We were too full to try any of the desserts, but they also looked yummy, so we will definitely be back! The spot has plenty of tables for both small and large groups. I was so thrilled that Serious Sanji has hit Boynton Beach. We really needed an authentic Chinese spot that served traditional items such as soup dumplings, buns, wontons, noodle soups, and dimsum. Walking in, I was surprised that the inside looks so nice! They seemed to have taken over the old Pei Wei fairly quickly so I wasn't expecting them to have completely transformed the restaurant but they did! It's very aesthetic and they still have the open kitchen layout. Keeping up with their sister restaurants, they have someone upfront making fresh dumplings. The have their menu displayed fairly large up front. They also provide you menus once you're seated. The menus are gorgeous. Great job on pictures with items. They had a separate menu for boba tea. We dined in and had a great experience. Our table of 4 received our items by the robot and by the servers / foodrunners. Very authentic, I had a few favorite items. The wonton chili oil, wonton soup, pan fried pork and chive dumplings, shrimp dumplings and pork soup dumplings were some of my favorite items. I wasn't fond of their shrimp roll - a bit thicker than other dimsum places or their Dan Dan noodles. The staff were great in cleaning as we finished plates. I am so excited that they decided to open a location here in Boynton. It is in the location of the old Pei-Wei. Almost same concept where you would order from the kiosk or the front desk and then sit down at a table. The server or the robot will bring the food to your table. Restaurant is nice and clean and servers are friendly. My favorite is the Pork Soup Dumplings. It was delicious! My daughter loved the Pork Sanji. I had really high hopes for this place .... I have eaten at their other location in Broward and had a great experience there. I was hoping to get the same experience but sadly no. We were seated right away which was great but we had an odd experience with our waitress.... We could barely hear her when she talked to us and the service was quite slow and there were only 5 tables in service. They did not have the chicken soup dumplings available for us to order. I am assuming they ran out of them and never made more from the following day. I also ordered crispy squid and what I received looked nothing like the photos on their billboard and menu. It looked like premade calamari rings I also read from another Yelpers review that they experienced gnats, and I also did have that same experience. Having seen a few 5 star reviews for this place I was super stoked to try it out for myself, unfortunately as is so often the case, when you hype something up in your head, the reality often falls short. With all the good dim sum options we have down here, the mediocre food offerings at Serious Sanji combined with the slow kitchen, and poor service added up to be one of the most meh experiences I've had in awhile. Sadly we were plagued with gnats during our dinner, and despite trying several things, the food serving robot never came over to our table. I had a nice time here for Valentine's Day lunch. They didn't have any specials for the holiday which we were thankful for. We came right when they opened and they were not busy at all. Our whole time there there were only two tables and lots of staff. There's a notice on their door saying they are hiring but they looked overstaffed at the time I was there. Food was quick and tasty. Nothing we had really stood out to me though. I'd like to come back and try more menu items. The portion sizes are large so we had more than enough food and brought some home. The green beans were my favorite dish although sweeter than expected. The beef chow fun was good but had no wok flavor. I've had more authentic. The place is clean although it could be cleaner. It's a sit and serve kinda spot so it may be fun to catch up for lunch with a friend here or have a casual meal. Menus are plastic and in English and Chinese. There's also a little robot food runner that helps out. So cute! Next time I want to get some soup. This place is geared more towards Americans. The broth is rich and the pork stuffing is generous and tastes ok. The scallion pancakes were very greasy and not crisp.
