I've been to two Chinese buffets in the area, and this one was disappointing. The food selection was limited, and the hibachi station was not very good. The restaurant also felt dimly lit, stuffy, and smaller than expected, which took away from the overall experience. For the price, I did not think it offered good value. I would recommend checking out Krazy Buffet instead, since it has a better atmosphere and a more enjoyable overall experience. read more

So this is my second time being there and we will never go back. I had to tell all my people to stop going there because the place is infested with roaches so i thought y'all should know as well. And the guy tried to give me a $5 discount off of my order of $50+. We left the rest of the food and didn't finish eating all that we wanted to eat. The place is outdated and feels like an old place. I'm sure it's been there for years. But I was just in the mood for it, haven't been to a buffet in YEARS, and that one happen to be in the area. The food wasn't that bad but it was eatable. The waitress was ok, nothing special, got there at 3:34pm on a Friday and paid $14.99. Was it worth it, no. Would I return, probably not. This is a basic all-you-can-eat buffet but I was very pleased. We brought my mom here who's visiting and she ended up loving it. There's plenty of variety with food, and even a seafood boil. I loved the Seafood Delight dish! I also got Lo Mein, peanut butter chicken, seafood salad and shrimp. It was a Sunday evening and about $15 per person. It was crowded but not too bad. They showed Crab Legs and fresh looking Crawfish, and Stuffed Clams, Shrimp on Ice, etc........ The Crab Legs fell the hell apart. Could barely get any meat from them. The seasoned and breaded shrimp were most likely the best part of the night. The chicken and broccoli was, simply awful! What I thought was Cocktail Sauce, was absolutely not Cocktail Sauce, but Hot Sauce, WOW!!!! The Boneless Ribs were rubbery. The crab rangoon's tasted like sour cream cheese. Holy shit......., Yonkers people need to travel to Fishkill, NY to the Hudson Buffet. I could eat there 7 nights a week and never be bored. I actually stopped a family coming in as I was leaving and told them to go to Fishkill. I got back to my Hotel (Hampton Inn) on Tuckahoe Rd, and threw up behind a dump truck in the parking lot, then it continued in my room for a little bit. When my Mom suggested we meet here for dinner last night I looked at the reviews and was a bit worried. I can say the place is Great and I was shocked at the amount and taste of all the food items. The Covid aspect of the buffet is handled by dispensing gloves to customers which are used to serve yourself then simply removed when you get back to your table. The service was good as they removed (many) plates from the table and refilled our water as needed. I look forward to eating there again soon. read more

Sushi was warm, and flies were all over the place. We were just seated with our plates when SEVERAL LARGE COCKROACHES crawled up the wall next to us. Furious, we called a manager who squashed the bugs amd told us "it happen," and if we didn't pay she would call the police even though we hadn't even touched the food. She showed us a piece of paper saying the place had been sprayed, which basically means nothing if there are still roaches that size in your dining room. She would not allow us to leave and physically blocked the door, but did give us 20% off our bill. Gee thanks. Upon leaving I notified the heath department and the BBB. I've visited this location twice and both times I was questioned for not leaving a tip on the table. THe first time I had no cash so I was going to pay and tip with my card, on my way to the register the waitress asked why I hadn't left tip I explained that I didn't have cash , she then seemed to get upset and said she prefers cash. My second time I paid in cash but was a few bucks short to leave tip so again I pay .head for the car to grab a few extra bucks but before I hit the door waitress asked why I didn't leave tip and asked if the service was bad I said no and told her the money we had to was not mine before I had a chance to explain that I would be back she then began to argue with me . The worse Chinese Buffett I've had in a while and I've had some pretty bad ones before. Rice was so stale it was crunchy, the so called General Tsao's Chicken was disgustingly bad. This is a place to go for certain things and only when you are starving and nearby. I would not drive from Boynton here when the Kingdom Buffet in Boynton is better. It's on a par with the East- West in Boynton in that it will do the job and give you volumes of food for a cheap price but you have to determine if that is what your objective is. When I have been here at 6 it's better, 5 to 5:30 is too early. At all times avoid the sushi. I have no idea why they bother. It's laid out haphazardly, not labelled and unappetizing. With sushi they should label it as to when it was made. Do want sushi that's been sitting for 6 hrs? Do get the hot n sour soup though, among the best around, real tangy. They have oysters, mussels and shrimp at dinner and always OK, just sniff the shrimp to be sure, once it was ah fishy. The lo mein is standard as are the other dishes like pepper steak, general gau and chicken broccoli. One could not differentiate these dishes from most any buffet. Pet peeve and no disrespect to any racial, cultural or ethnic groups cause I have seen it all but seriously people keep your little rug rat kids with their household and kid germs away from the food. More than any other place I see kids barely able to reach the dishes trying to score their food while their parent (s) are busy gathering their own bites or busy chatting it up apparently too full to get up and do the right thing. I have had to scold children I don't know, not knowing if they even understand what I am talking about when I tell them NO don't touch the food or put it back when it spills on the counter. I see there is now a sign to parents to attend to their children like this should necessary? Guess it is. In summation I believe I am done with this place. I had a craving for crab legs. So I've visited King china buffet on a Friday evening. I have to admit that after reading the reviews I was worried about dining there. I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and cleanliness of the restaurant. Just goes to show that you can't always believe what you read in some of use. When we arrived, the selection was warmed over, "he" was nowhere to be found, and there was also no one behind the counter to freshen up anything or cut any meats. As far as Chinese Buffets go this one was very good! Ate there yesterday for my Father's birthday. He requested the place as one of his favorites. The food was fresh and was being rotated often. The roast beef carving station was a popular hit at our table! My husband enjoyed the sushi also. They had options for kids including chicken nuggets and fries. We have gone there for lunches for a long time. Last Sunday we went for dinner for the crab legs and we paid the higher price for the option. This is the place to head to for long, interrupted tea drinking and talking with friends. Of course, the tea comes in the price of the buffet, whether you chose to eat or not. The servers come by and ask if you want fresh tea. Nice touch. The name may be New China, but the atmosphere definitely reminds me of Old China, Asian tea houses to be exact. Just ask to be seated in the back rooms. You will have your privacy. Foodwise, for nibbles or definite eats, the selection cannot be matched for either price point or tastiness.
