I was on the hunt to find a new takeout Chinese restaurant and found Happy Garden 2. There are some okay Chinese takeout restaurants in the area but nothing like those in NYC. I was craving fried chicken wings and shrimp fried rice. Everything was good but I wish they would've given a bit more rice. The restaurant was busy and the food tasted fresh. No frills seating for those dining in or waiting for pickup orders. Happy Garden 2 is a good option NYC style Chinese takeout but the hunt continues. read more

Love this place! I always get it to go as the place is small inside but don't let that stop you. I always get the fried rice, the lo mein and the honey garlic chicken. You absolutely cannot go wrong with that selection. My wife and I go at least once a week! Pricing is reasonable, service is quick, and the food is good. read more

Coming from NY. we have been looking for good Chinese food for 25 years. Tried every local Chinese restaurant many times. We always seem to go back to Happy Garden. Mostly a take out place, but they do have a few tables inside. I rarely have seen anybody eating inside. Recently purchased the Pu Pu platter. best steak on a stick I have ever had. Everything we have had is pretty good. I am a big fan of the egg fu yung and the egg drop soup. They have not given us fortune cookies the last couple times we ordered, but they have the box on a side table, so I guess we can grab our own. They do have parking spaces in front, but they are usually taken, but Happy Garden is situated in a huge parking lot next to Walmart. So you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot. read more

We use to really enjoy this restaurant. Now it's like rolling the dice. We ordered the pepper steak and it was so rubbery and tough that we are really not sure what kind of meat it was. Did not even taste like beef. Very very bad. The house special rice was gummy and over cooked and the sweet and sour chicken tasted like frozen food from the grocery store that was over fried hard. At a price of $69 for just two entrees delivered, it is certainly not a great value. We are done and will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

The food is a solid offering of American Chinese classics and they do them well. The place is never going to get a Michelin star and don't go looking for much ambiance, it's primarily a takeout place. The staff are very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Happy Garden is a solid go-to when cooking or dining out seems too much of a pain. This was my first time here, it is a few doors down from where I work. I walked in. The location was nice and clean. I was greeted warmly and friendly by the young lady at the front desk. I ordered the pork Buddha delight with mixed vegetables, along with a spring roll. It was ready within 15 minutes in time to go back to work, I came in, opened it up and it was absolutely delicious. Yelp communities around the country came together for Big Night In on Saturday, April 11, 2020. We were able to choose whatever restaurant we wanted and order up through takeout or delivery. My husband and I decided on a last minute Chinese food fix and hit up Happy Garden. It was near by in our area and we decided to give them a try. We walked in and they took our order after we looked at the menu for a couple minutes. I got the honey garlic chicken with fried rice and wonton soup. It was ready in fifteen minutes and we devoured the food. The soup was awesome and it's usually the only one that I get at Chinese restaurants. The honey garlic chicken was good and the portion was huge along with the rice. I couldn't finish it all and had to throw the rest away since we didn't want it sitting in our car for a while before we got back home. The friendly and quick service was nice and the food was cooked to order. I wouldn't mind coming back again and trying out some of the other items they have and filling the Chinese craving. It's reasonable and the portions are huge. That's why next time there will be leftovers for the next day ;) read more

I ordered delivery because a bunch of my neighbors recommended this place on our Facebook page. The flavor was good! But I'm just scared what I ate wasn't what I thought it was.. Ribs were so tough. But the flavor of the sauce is amazing! Sesame chicken was a pink color, but it was definitely cooked(was it even chicken???) Mongolian beef was ok, not as spicy as I'd like it, flavor of the sauce was good, but again, was it even beef? Only thing I felt comfortable eating was the vegetable lo mien, but it hardly had any veggies in it. read more

I wouldn't say this is the best Chinese take out in town but it is one that I feel out beat the rest around my area. Owned by a small family who are super friendly. The lo mein, spare ribs, fried rice, shrimp lobster sauce, and orange beef are the main thing I order and is tasty. I would leave the soups, egg rolls and dumplings alone. Inside is your typical take out place, 5 booth, hot because it's small and the kitchen is right there. If you dine in, expect to come out smelling like grease. This is my 2nd review of Happy Garden. Their food is authentic and consistent. While I've never been in China, I have been to some of the finest Chinese restaurants in NYC and San Francisco. And even though Happy Garden is strictly take out, I'd compare any of their dishes to any other Chinese restaurant I've been to. Pretty good. It's a new place, opened recently, and I got a menu in the mail. I'm still in search of a great Chinese place near my new house, so I tried it for lunch. Two things attracted me right off - the menu was pretty and the prices were low. When I walked in, it was an obvious family operation, as there were two little kids playing with computers in a booth (this is a plus for me). I got a General Tso's chicken lunch special, with fried rice and an eggroll for $5.25. A few days later, I tried the Cashew Chicken. The chicken was good, moist and tender. They used dark meat in the General Tso's, which I approve of (it's deep fried, people. White meat won't save you). The sauce was sweet with a kick, but there was too much of it. The cashew chicken was good, big chunks of veggies, plenty of chicken, lots of cashews. Nice sauce, but again, a bit too much sauce. The first time, the fried rice was the typical, S Florida lame undercooked under seasoned whatever-just-throw-it-in-there side that you get at every takeout place (except Kikis in Boca). The second time, it was decent. Not awesome, but pretty good. The eggroll was mediocre both times, with an odd smoky taste. Strange. Not the best I've had, but I'll try it again since its cheap and close. The best takeout joint I've found in the neighborhood so far. read more

This is the best of hole in the wall chinese delivery/carryout places around. The only one left that still make their dumplings in house, not the frozen premade ones other places have. Their soups actually have a lot of flavor, unlike others, and taste fresh. Best general tso chicken around also. Maybe just a tad more expensive than most of the others, but so worth it read more

Ok, so I was feeling under the weather today and craving egg drop wonton soup so I prevailed upon hubby (himself not a Chinese food fan) to get takeout from a place of his choosing. This is the spot he chose based on reviews and location (new to Lake Worth). I ordered the aforementioned soup and the shrimp with lobster sauce luncheon special (upgraded to brown rice) with eggroll. He comes home, mentions the place is a hole-in-the wall but has a sub place and FDNY pizza near - he picked up a sub for himself. So I open my food and dig in. Devoured it all in minutes flat. The shrimp was fresh and big, lobster sauce tasty and free of annoying carrots and peas. Comfort food at its best. The brown rice was excellent actually, not too sticky but chewy like I prefer. And the soup hit the spot, eggy with large pork filled dumplings. Came with fried noodles and duck sauce and soy sauce- usually pass on those so can't comment but appreciate that they included it. Don't know what has happened here since it used to be our favorite take out Chinese food. Quality has gone down. My husband ordered fried rice and the bamboo shoots were burnt. Thought we should just order on a weekend and so we ordered again. Shrimp fried rice now had smaller shrimp, hardly any scrambled egg and no scallions. Fried chicken wings were smaller size and prices have gone up on everything. Really disappointed as we used to order from them every week because everything was really, really good. Where do I start? -They charge $2 extra to get lo mein instead of rice with a combo when rice is more expensive on the menu -make up prices for stuff out of their head on the spot - tell u something is $18 over the phone and then when you get there it somehow is now $23. - food is below average Never will eat here again. We finally found our favorite local Chinese take-out (after several disappointments with the other ones around)! We placed a large order (8 people) and under the pouring rain the food was delivered on time and it was absolutely delicious! We had egg rolls, house fried rice, shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, short ribs, crab Rangoon; the food was of great quality, prepared with care and it tasted very good! We have eaten here several times now, and it is one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. The other evening we ordered delivery for the first time. Unfortunately, our soup didn't come with the delivery. We called and they said they would deliver it to us. Read the reviews and had high hopes. I was let down. Maybe because it was a rainy day and the place was dead but the food was awful. I ordered the honey garlic chicken (heads up its the same as sweet and sour chicken just with a very liquidy sauce.) I tasted absolutely no garlic. The egg roll was disgusting. My husband ordered the Mongolian beef that was supposed to be spicy and it wasn't at all.
