I worked here, for about 3 days, as a mechanic. They had absolutely no company orientation, no…read moreintroductions to the other employees, no "this is our fire extinguisher" or " this is our eyewash station." Nothing. I was assigned, by the General Manager, not the forever-missing-in-action Service Manager to replace an engine on a piece of sports field maintenance equipment. They (the shop) had ordered the WRONG replacement engine. After two days of trying to mount the new engine, I went to the GM and informed him that they had ordered the wrong engine. His reply..."make it fit." After the third day, I turned the project over to another mechanic to waste his time with. I was told to jump on the huge industrial forklift (on which I had never been trained nor licensed to drive). I was told to go into the back lot behind the building and pick up a zero-turn mower for repair. Mind you, when you bring a piece of equipment in, it gets a repair tag, then gets put out in the back lot, which is not paved and is wide open to the weather. Nothing but disorganized rows of equipment to be repaired. At least 50 machines that people were waiting on. Anyway, when I backed the giant forklift out of the shop, I discovered it had NO brakes. Imagine a heavy equipment repair shop operating with a forklift with no brakes! I turned off the forklift, went back into the shop, gathered my tools, got in my car and drove away. Oh, I forgot to mention, when the mechanics clocked out for lunch every day, only half came back to finish the day. Their buddies clocked them back in after lunch. This place sucked, which is probably why they went out of business. Good riddance. On the upside, Everglades Equipment on S. Krome Avenue is a top-notch John Deere shop. Please pay them a visit. Highly recommended, and I don't even work there.

I own a CAT 289D3 skid steer along with three other Caterpillar machines. Less than a month after…read morethe warranty expired, I had to replace the alternator. A few weeks later, the 289 began sputtering and eventually shut down completely. After contacting Kelly tractor and their roadside service team, the machine was diagnosed with a collapsed fuel tank. Initially, I was informed that the issue was being classified as owner/operator negligence, leaving me facing a repair bill of approximately $7,500. As a small business owner, that was a significant and unexpected financial hit. Fortunately, my sales representative, Patrick, who has always been outstanding to work with, referred me to Dave Marin. I cannot say enough about Dave's professionalism, diligence, and commitment throughout this process. He maintained excellent communication, explored every possible solution, and advocated on my behalf every step of the way. Caterpillar ultimately recognized that the collapsed fuel tank was the result of an engineering-related issue rather than operator negligence. Thanks to Dave's persistence and dedication, my machine was repaired, and the $7,500 charge was waived. I would also like to thank Steve for his efforts behind the scenes in helping move this process forward. Experiences like this remind me that great equipment is important, but great people and customer support make all the difference. Thank you, Patrick, Dave, Steve, Kelly Tractor and Caterpillar for standing behind your customers.
