Plain and simple fast food Greek and Lebanese food. An abbreviated menu from their big restaurant location, it's sort of a subway/chipolte style pick you item sort of deal. Everything was fresh and there was enough for two small meals in my lite box with chicken shawarma. I couldn't really figure out if there were any vegetarian types of plates or not, and there was a line forming, so I just grabbed something easy. It's very inexpensive, and staff was friendly and overall helpful. If I need something light and easy, I'll be back! read more

This place at lunch time is a madhouse. The parking area can be hard to access due to the drive thru if you use the side street entrance. That was the first hurdle. I soon realized that parking on the side (nearest the door) is also an Issue, because you may not be able to get out due to the drive thru line. That's the Second hurdle. Once you make it inside, it's still a madhouse. This express location does not work exactly as the others do. There was an older gentleman you go to first, he writes on your box what number you want. That may take a moment, as he didn't seem fully familiar with the menu. Then your box is sent down the line with numerous other boxes. If you have any special order issues, it's quite difficult to get them to whichever person who ends up fixing your food. This can cause mixups. The other locations have the same person taking your order and fixing your actual plate. So you tell them as you go what you want. The latter is what I'm used to. This was a mess. My food ended up correct after I called out several times and got the attention of the person fixing it. Meanwhile the older gentleman came and attempted to give my order to a man in front of me in the line. I had to tell him several times that it was mine. It was crazy. My husband ended up with an incorrect order, which I just took, as it was too difficult to attempt to get it corrected. I was just glad to leave. I think process was set up to possibly move the line faster, but it honestly doesn't. Either way, at the cost of customer service, which is SO great at the other locations, it's just not worth it. I'll continue to drive to the other restaurants. I like the friendliness and control over my meal that I get at those. Finally, last hurdle: Getting out of the parking lot. If you think you've avoided a line of cars behind you and you can easily back your car out by parking at the front of the place, near the busy street. Wrong again! The exit sits at one side of it. And again I couldn't get out. When I tell you I was beyond happy to finally leave this place!! It would be an understatement. As for the food, it was okay. Not as good as other locations either. Chicken was dry and the rice lacked tenderness & flavor. read more

This place is AMAZING! I am here from Colorado and Serop's came highly recommended. I am SOOO glad we decided to order from here. You can tell that many of the customers are regulars as one of the employees, David, was greeting everyone by name. We got our order to go and one of the people we were ordering for is a very strict vegetarian due to some medical requirements. David hooked him up! I can only speak for the drive through because I haven't been inside of the restaurant yet, but the drive through is absolutely amazing!! The menu is clear and easy to understand, the person on the speaker is always polite and takes your order accurately, and they are very fast! I just went to the Serops Express on Jefferson for the first time and loved it! I decided to get the Combo Plate that came with gyro, chicken, salad, rice, humus and Grecian sauce. The gyro and the chicken were amazing and the humus was honestly my favorite part of the meal! The one thing I wasn't a big fan of was the pita because it didn't have a crunch to it and seemed kind of bland. We love Serop's Express and specifically this location since it is close to our home and husband's work. The service is friendly and quick and the food is delicious, fresh, and a great value for money. My husband's go-to is the chicken shawarma salad and I like to get a mixed plate with 3 or 4 sides and I always have enough leftovers for a second meal. I love the potato & eggplant parmesan, lentil soup, green beans, fried cauliflower, moussaka and greens. While the potatoes and onions are delicious, it is fairly inconsistent with the potatoes often being under-cooked so I only get it every now and then and hope for the best. Mediocre Mediterranean food. As someone who grew up with a friend whose family owned and operated a Greek restaurant, I had high quality Greek cuisine every weekend after school. I had a gyro plate with some pita and spanakopita, or spinach pie, with some tzaziki and hummus. Both sauces were lacking in flavor, and the food was lacking in spice. The good things about this place is that the food is pretty much already prepared so your order is essentially just assembled and handed to you instead of having to wait. Serop's is amazing Greek and Lebanese food, fast. The Lentil soup (similar to a dal you might find in Indian cuisine) is spicy, flavorful and amazingly delicious. The mujadara (rice and lentils) is equally delicious and flavorful. Mustard greens and broccoli to round out what was a delicious meal. The folks behind the counter are super friendly, and more than willing to allow a sample before making the final decision. Highly recommend this for vegetarians with a great number of options in the case (while they do also cater to the meat eaters). Portions are huge, and a 3 or 4 "Make Your Own Plate" will have you stuffed! The falafel was a little too well done, and while crispy on the outside, sitting seemed to have dried it out a bit. read more

It was nice to see curbside service here. I'm from out of town and I thought maybe it would of been nice to see my salad in a separate container so it would be cold. It was in with the gyro meat and chicken shwarma so it became hot from the meat in the styrofoam container. A nice sour cream and paprika dip or oil and Italian seasonings would be delicious with the meat instead of using the hummus. The pita bread did not taste fresh. Did not eat. This place is right by my house so it is very convenient, and the guys that work there are very friendly! I also get the chicken shawarma, lentils, and stewed okra. You can also get the meat by the lb and the sides in quart sizes so you can have some for lunch during the rest of the week. read more

This is my absolute favorite Serops Express they are always friendly. Not too mention I've been coming for over 14 years now they have a brand new building . I drive from Zachary to get this yummy food! I usually get the five sides plate then I get two Baby hummus ! You can't beat the value not too mention it's delicious. Some of my favorite items they serve are their eggplant potato moussaka and their feta salad is the best! They have really good baklava . Offerings can range from first-rate eggplant dishes to bland cabbage the way your country gramma would have cooked it to death, so it's hard to peg the authenticity of the place. My selections tonight, delivered to my dinner table by a family member in the form of take-out, included gyros, chicken shawarma, eggplant, cabbage, and falafel. While I surely ate my fill, nothing in the to-go boxes caused me great enthusiasm. The meats were flavorful but typical, if not a bit dry. The falafel was thick and almost brittle, but covered in tzatziki, I ate every morsel. The cabbage devoid of flavor. The eggplant was thoroughly enjoyable. But there's no need to complain. It's basically good food served very fast at a decent price. I'm in that neighborhood of Baton Rouge often and look for opportunities to visit this version of Serop's. I'll gladly do so again, for a quick lunch or take out dinner, anytime. read more

Just ordered my phone today. Got through most of it. Taste good. Person at Drive through is short and unpleasant. But the issue was there was black hair in my food. My hair is shaved and I wear a hair cover from work so I was truly disgusted. They need to have whomever wear a head cover in the kitchen . Disgusting ! read more

SEROPS EXPRESS , wonderful place the business is very clean smells so good as soon as you walk in , they recently changed their menu so ordering is so easy and Efficient .. The line moves really fast and the workers so helpful . Kid friendly environment ! The chicken was fresh and hot perfectly seasoned , and the hummus was freshly made .. Very addicting , I eat here a least two or maybe three times a week . Very heart healthy food , not like your fast food .. You don't feel sick after eating it!! I have been going to Serops Express for about 6 years now. I've always liked it well enough. Pretty good food, decent prices and fast and nice service. I'm still not over them taking the white beans off the menu, but I've made do with other sides. It seems that since the restaurant has been renovated that things have gone a bit to the wayside. I've eaten inside once, gotten take out once and gone through the drive through twice. So I think I've got a good handle on how things are. Eating in and going in to get takeout are fine. I will say the food doesn't taste quite as good as it used to. The okra seems to never be cooked quite as long as it should. It gets this weird crunch texture when it's not fully cooked and maybe some people like it, but not me. It's different than it used to be and I'm not a fan. But the rest is pretty par for the course and fine. Where I run into the problem is when I use the drive through. It's a great concept and is actually pretty fast and easy process. But both times I've had my order given incorrectly. I get the 4 sides plate and always order feta salad, hummus, rice pilaf and then some random other side. Once I got some side I didn't ask for, but didn't know until I was at work because I didn't check right then. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but I hate when they put the hot rice in the same space as my salad. It always makes the sad wilt and makes it hot and gross. So I always ask for my salad to be in a different container. Well once they just ignored that and plated it with the rice as usual. This time however they plated it with the rice again, but gave me my feta from the salad in a little container on the side. This leads me to believe that there's either a breakdown in communication along the way, there's a problem with the sound system or someone's just not with it. I guess I should start asking the person to repeat what I ordered back to me so I can make sure it's correct. Most places will do that when they have a driven through. So really that can be easily fixed. I guess I just hate getting my order wrong because it sucks :( With all that said, I'll still come here. The food is good and fast and the workers are all very sweet. Plus it's close to work and home so it's a great option most days. read more

I ordered food from Waitr while getting my hair done. When I got my food it was horrific. My pita was moldy, my hummus was soured and bad, my falafel was stale and hard.
