Lived in the BR area for years and haven't yet tried this. Had a friend playing music so decided to come by. When we arrived we asked where we needed to go, the hostess sent us over to the Sidebar. This is where it gets a small bit confusing. Noone to greet you, even stopped next to a floor manager, who didn't have much to say. We just took a table, wasn't sure what ones were available. Im sorry to the server if we messed you up. She was fantastic, but could tell she had a lot going on. She was also helping at the bar. I was pleased with the food. Im definitely going to be back for the Steak Flatbread, it was well balanced and filling. Husband had Steak Frites, we were not very adventurous this trip. But will be back again. Loved this place! Went for a coworkers birthday and learned they have a pretty great happy hour on Fridays from 11am to 6pm with cocktails for $7- French 75s, daiquiris, margaritas, mules, and more on the menu to choose from. We had the crawfish and spinach dip which was delicious. Service was really great and the atmosphere was very fun and friendly. The stuffed red peppers on the charcuterie board were my fav! Went with some coworkers to celebrate one of their upcoming nuptials. We really had a good time. Wish there was some food on the Happy Hour menu but the cocktail that I had hit the spot. The food is really good too, albeit a bit overpriced. The atmosphere was relaxed and it wasn't crowded so we weren't rushed and spent a few hours eating and talking. Definitely a good place for a date night. We shared a flatbread, spinach and crawfish dip, Parmesan truffle fries and the Brie appetizer. Celiac Review! After Facebook messaging a number of restaurants in the Baton Rouge area Bin 77 was one of the few that replied stating they had a gluten-free menu. Going off that statement we chose to try it out. They do have a separate gluten-free menu that have a handful of items on it. They highlight the items that they take off or removed from the food in order to make it gluten-free. I ordered the stuffed pork tenderloin. It came with asparagus and fingerling potatoes. Overall it was good/average, (pork didn't have a ton of flavor though), but since the demi glaze is not GF, I asked for compound butter to go along with it. I imagine with the demi glaze. the pork tenderloin would have much more flavor. No issues ordering gluten-free and was told that they use separate pans to cook in. Non gf meals ordered: smoked ribeye, seared scallops, and another stuffed pork tenderloin. Overall consensus, no complaints, but a little pricey (maybe due to location). read more

The workers act weird and stuck up when you come here. You stand there waiting to be seated and they act like they can't see you and don't greet you. Came here with some classmates and when I walked in they were not acknowledging my classmate that got there before me. I asked her if she had been greeted and she said no. I told them how many people we had and they didn't start preparing a table until I forced them to speak to me. Today I came and they did the same. No acknowledgement until another group of people came in behind me and then a girl came and sat me. I walked out because the vibes were atrocious. The manager was standing right there and didn't even say anything to his workers. Their behavior is uppity and pretentious. The food is too subpar for that kind of behavior. Get over yourselves. I went to Bin 77 for my anniversary with my husband. We looked to see if we needed reservations, but they aren't on any of the platforms like Open Table or Seven Rooms. The restaurant has a lot of seating, both indoor and outdoor. We ordered the Creole Devil Horseback and the Steak flatbread. The horseback bacon wrapped dates were good. It tasted like a meat lover pizza without the crust. The steak and Gruyère was pretty good as well. I do think the steak could have been seasoned a little more. We also ordered a few cocktails! My husband had the honey old fashioned and the blackberry lemon drop. Both of these cocktails were great! My only complaint is that I feel like the kitchen closed almost an hour before closing and the menu is sort of limited. read more

A great way to spend a Tuesday evening! We sat on the patio and listened to live music. The patio is in the middle of the restaurant which I thought was pretty cool! It is also huge and gives the feeling that you are in a gazebo type setting. With tons of shade, a water fountain, plants, and being surrounded by the Perkins Rowe buildings, I truly felt I was in a garden lol. The ambiance was spot on. I ordered the Prosecco for a drink, and it was delicious as every Prosecco is. For an entree, I got the Caprese flatbread. It was ok. The bread it was on wasn't typical flatbread bread. It was thicker and had a hint of sweetness to it. My friends got the chicken sandwich BLT, and it was very good. I like the shoe string fries and how you get to pick whether it is traditional fries or truffle fries. Service was great. She was very attentive and didn't bother us too much throughout the night. We got the Crawfish and Spinach Dip, and thought it was delicious! We then split the Bin Burger, and subbed the Frites (Fries) for Parmesan Chive Truffle Frites. The Ketchup was delicious. The Garlic "Aioli" mostly just tasted like mayo with garlic in it, but it was still good for a fry dipping sauce. The burger was very good, we both enjoyed it. For drinks, we tried the Mai-Tai and Cucumber Gimlet, both were super tasty. We loved this place and will most likely return! read more

Decided to drive to Baton Rouge for a little day date and stumbled on this place. First thing I noticed was that even though they seemed to be more wine based they still had a decent selection of cocktails/spirits and draft & bottle beer. We tried to order 1 specific cocktail and couldn't because the alcohol wasn't finished infusing, which we were kind of bummed by but also showed me they weren't just relying on pre-flavored alcohol. We decided to start with the Brie and had a salad and a burger as our mains. The Brie was presented super nicely and it was good, but at $20 I probably wouldn't get it again and it was a bit messy. The star of dinner was my salad at only $12-13 but chocked full of stuff (poached pear, goat cheese, candied walnuts) and tasted super good. The BF had the burger which he said was good but wasn't overly impressed by. We tried Bin 77 the other night for dinner. We live downtown, ad it's a bit of a jog, but not too bad. It was a weekday night, so parking wasn't terrible in Perkins Row. We were greeted immediately, and decided to sit on the patio, as it wasn't overly hot or humid. There were several tables already occupied, and the vibe was chill and comfortable. The waiter was readily available and attentive. Cocktails were well-made and refreshing. We had the tuna tartare and fried shrimp curry appetizers. They were both delicious. They have a wide wine menu, and we had a bottle of excellent Pinot Gris, which was also a good value. Entrees were a shrimp salad and the fish, and we enjoyed both. By this time, the live music started. It was a Jimmy Buffet inspired guitarist, who was quite good, and added to the vibe. We didn't want to leave, so we ordered the bread pudding for dessert, and more wine. We had a great date night at Bin 77, and will definitely be back! read more

The crawfish spinach dip was very cheesy and yummy- it came out piping hot and still bubbling. The goat cheese Boursin risotto with the scallops was so good, and the mint salsa verde quite suited the lamb chops! I started working in the restaurant industry 40 years ago at age 15 I have never sent an entire table meal back until today! When I did the only thing I got comped was the meals I sent back. When discussing with my friends locations with good outdoor spaces for getting together during this phase of the pandemic, and looking for somewhere with a great selection of wine, Bin 77 was the choice. Knowing they have a nice large patio area, we knew we would feel comfortable distancing from others. I must say, this place was hoppin for a Friday afternoon. Thankfully, we had a good table placement outside, and we felt like we were distanced enough from the other patrons. I did feel like the inside areas were WAY too crowded and close together for my comfort, so if this seat had not been available, we likely would have moved to another location. I started with an Old Fashioned, and it was strong enough to kick the night off! So tasty. Once my friends arrived, our server Lexie could tell our friend knew her wine, so we were given the expansive menu. A delicious pinot noir was soon on the table. We split the brie... omg.... the brie... You could smell it as it arrived to the table, and it just melted in your mouth. Thankfully there were three of us because I probably would have just eaten the whole thing myself... it was so good. I was very pleasantly surprised with the staff and experience. My first visit I had the shrimp curry, the flavor was quite good I wish it had a bit of spice to give it that true curry taste. My last visit I had the smoked salmon appetizer and which was cooked to my liking but lacked in flavor a bit. The lemon vinaigrette arugula and green goddess aioli were perfectly balanced and kind of made up for the lack of seasoning.
