I've been here plenty of times for takeout. The service is super quick and the value is great for the price you pay. I always get the gyro salad, and the amount of gyro is always plentiful. I do wish there was more salad than meat, but that's just me. The food has always been consistent and the meat has never been dry. I definitely recommend Serops if you're in the neighborhood and in a hurry for a quick bite. read more

My very first visit to Serops was a memorable experience. Once it was discovered by the server that my friend and I were new to the restaurant he immediately began an inquiry as to what foods we normally consumed and then began suggesting what was best to beginners. * This place is not close to the main serpos cafe on Perkins. * They serve express meals - which are already cooked. *The baba ganouj, eggplant mousaka were extra tangy. Perhaps adding vinegar to preserve it better. But that sort of ruins the taste and freshness of the dishes. * I also took the gyro, and it was soft and soggy. Mostly because of it already being pre-chiseled from the skewers - to serve an express meal. Perhaps if they gave that fresh off the skewers, it might have the freshness too. * plenty of seating for an express outlet which isn't really great for a dine in experience too! * didn't try humus, or the salad so really cannot compare those. * parking available but limited * price range is about 9-11$ a meal. read more

Solid Greek option coming into Baton Rouge right off of Highland Road by I-10. I stopped in for a Gyro plate, and was not disappointed. It was not the best I've had, but it was good. Actually the first Serop's I went to was in Baton Rouge on Jefferson Hwy. And to get piping hot, flavorful Greek/Lebanese food so quickly made Serop's a top choice for getting something good and getting it fast! So with one being nearer to where we live, we finally got around to checking it out. We were not disappointed. We get the plate where you can add your choices, 3-4-5- choices. You can pick from greens, creamed spinach, eggplant moussaka, an eggplant&potato dish, hummus, kibbi, cabbage, squash, okra, and much much more. We were trying to eat whole-food/plant based, so we really scored. But they had meat selections too! You can also order prepared plates from the menu. Your plate comes with complimentary pita bread, white or wheat. Everything is good!!! The service is very good. All the servers at the counter are on right there, quick to take your order. They have a good configuration for their dining room. We like to eat in and we didn't have to worry about finding a place to sit. They do a very robust take-out service as well The only thing was their Lebanese iced tea. I like mine a little sweeter than the version they served. However, it was still VERY refreshing and I'll get it again when we go there. I like having another choice for fresh, hot, flavorful Mediterranean food and Serop's fits the bill! read more

I give a lot of 5 star reviews, not because I like too however if it's worth my time to sit down and write a review, then it's most likely worth 4 or 5 stars, or just one or two if I really want to tell people to avoid the place. This place is great, it deserves a 5 star and I want people to know that they should go here when nearby for lunch or dinner. Turns out the guy who runs it lives on the same street as me. He runs this place with his brother and his mom. All of whom are there every day they are open. As busy as they get, they know their regulars by face and what they (like me) are going to order. This place gets BUSY at lunch time. They're fast, and the food is consistently good. I live closer to one on Perkins, but I work near this one and it's 2 minutes from my office. Being on the Ideal Protein diet, this is the ONLY place I can eat for lunch, it gets that extra star because they are fast and affordable. For $6 I get a Junior Combo salad with dressing on the side and sometimes I'll get tomatoes. But the meat is always tender and well spiced. The other thing I like is that they use leafy greens in their salad. The other Serop's location uses iceberg lettuce, and I've mentioned this. For a meaningful diet, iceberg is OK, but the leafy greens give you the vitamins you need for that part of the diet like Ideal Protein. Their salad dressing is awesome, for a dieter like me, can't beat it. I wish they sold their dressing by itself, I'd buy it. They serve their salad already mixed in it but I get my greens naked and dressing on the side and dip as needed. Just a taste is enough for a forkful of salad greens. I go here probably 2 to 3 even 4 or 5 times a week for lunch. Sometimes I eat there if I can get a table, other times I get it to go. Parking is a bit of pinch as the lot is small, and vehicles are usually large. There's a Starbucks there and a Chinese place next door. Getting in is easy, getting out is harder. Nonetheless it's worth the effort. People are nice, food is great and affordable and they consistently deliver. You're always greeted with a smile and if they remember you, they've practically made your order by the time you walk up. The other location on Perkins needs to take a lesson on how customer service and quality of their menu delivers here and copy it as I try not to go there. Each Serop's has it's own hours on the weekends, so make sure you check if you're on a Saturday or Sunday to see if they're open as they do most of their business between 11 and 2 on weekdays. read more

Serops Express has really good, fresh Greek as well as many other items served deli style which is great when you are pressed for time. Chicken Shawerma is very good as you might expect. For variety, try their Lentil soup, some of the best around. Also recommend the creamed spinach, and stuffed squash. Try this one. Service is always fast and friendly. read more

The food here is great. It's consistently fresh and tasty. You order from the line and grab a seat to eat. I usually get mine to go because I can never eat all that they include. I'm not a big eggplant person, but I love theirs! The seasoning is amazing, and the Rice is perfectly prepared, and delicious every time. Gyro is very good, toppings are fresh, and the sauce is not overpowering. But my favorite is the Chicken Shawarma. It's perfection. I always get the dinner which has delicious fresh salad w/ a light dressing, fluffy rice w/peas, and yummy hummus. (They have turned me into a hummus lover! I've never liked it before eating it here!) The location is always clean and appealing inside. The staff is amazingly friendly, and are always attentive. The Only negative, they are closed on Weekends, and this location is my fav. I've tried the one on Corporate Drive (Open on Weekends), and although the food is good, to me it's just not the same. So, if you're craving great Middle Eastern food, check out this location Mon-Friday. It's certainly worth the drive from anywhere in Baton Rouge. read more

If you want some quick and easy service at a great price this is your stop. Under $10 bucks for a plate with 5 sides you can rarely beat anywhere. I was hoping for a little more flavor from a few sides such as the falafel and hummus but can't really complain for the price. I got rice pilaf, hummus, and salad with lebanese tea to drink. pretty simple meal, but it sure was good! the only thing i can complain about was that the tea tasted funny, and not even 10 minutes after i drank it i got really sick. it might have not been fresh. other than that, the food was delicious. read more

I decided to try Serops and I was very pleased. The food I recieved was full of flavor. I just moved on my own and it was nice to have food that's not packed with preservatives and grease. I got the #1 and ate it for lunch, dinner, and lunch the next day! It was so much food! I will definitely be returning. read more

Having been to both this location and the downtown location in the past, I dropped in last week for take out and reassessment of this fast-food type restaurant. I ordered chicken shawarma, hummus and sauteed eggplant plus spinach-lentil soup. As usual, the chicken was moist and well seasoned. Hummus did not disappoint and the sauteed eggplant just melted in my mouth. The spinach lentil soup was excellent (especially with a twist of lemon I grabbed from the ice tea station). If I had any complaints, it's that they only give you one piece of pita bread. Then again, I did not ask if I could buy an extra piece. Another complaint is that they close at 8 PM, far too early for a New Yorker such as myself (also work late whenever I am in town). Feb 2014 Edit: I am upping to 4 stars. This Serops Express is on Highland right off I-10 by Blue Bayou. There is a Starbucks just in the front of the parking lot. I stopped here on the way to New Orleans and got a gyro #16. I also got a side of grape leaves. DELICIOUS! The service was incredible and friendly and, even though they were busy, I was acknowledged and told they'd be with me asap. It wasn't a long wait at all. I recommend this restaurant and I will be back! read more

I Just ate Lunch here and it was great! I got the chicken shawarma plate and the chicken was wonderful. I really liked that the person taking my order asked me if I wanted tomatoes on my salad. Since I don't like tomatoes I was able to tell him no. Serops earns 10 stars just for that. I love this restaurant. I highly recommend everyone to go here. read more

I like going to the Perkins location so I can use the drive thru. It's nice to get a healthy prepared meal drive thru style. On the downside, sometimes the salad is soggy, and wilted, and that's not cool. All in all I do like their traditional Greek/Lebanese dishes, the hummus is yum! read more

I have no issues with the food at Serop's, I am less than 3 minutes away and would indulge a couple times a week, plus didn't mind utilizing them for company meetings, etc. However, it wasn't until yesterday that I encountered a man behind the counter name Zach. He was the rudest any employee at Serop's has ever been to me. He felt a need to pop off after anything I said. He had no respect for me as a customer. He actually made me feel as though he was targeting me for some reason. This young man obviously did not like being in a serving position at that moment and found I was an easy target. Never the less, I am no longer going to a place like that. I actually did call to speak with the owner at another location. However, he was at the Jefferson store managing the remodel project and did not call me back. Again, the food is on point, however, living down south ... hospitality ... HOSPITALITY ... it goes a long way to keep a long standing relationship in any capacity. We really need to make the right choices in our careers. Don't serve me if you can't handle it ... Although the express is convenient, I don't find that their meat is good. It's soggy. Which seems to be because they prepare it then store it in their warming bar with a top on it. The heat steams inside. I like my chicken shwarma kinda crispy. I stick to the veggies and sides only. read more

Wow, I'm happy my usual place of work Flooded and I'm stuck out here to work and find lunch places for a while. This place is great. The portions are very generous, I couldn't finish half of a small chicken salad.. and the Tabouleh is just what I hoped it would be. When I deployed to Afghanistan we had this little Greek shop, the Tabouleh was so awesome and the only thing I could really stomach under the circumstances, it tastes identical and it made my day! read more
