I am reviewing the location across from Wholefoods on corporate. Cava is a favorite for my Husband and Me. The food is always fresh, prepared per directions, the staff at this location is helpful, accomodating, kind, attentive, and personable. I have never had an issue with our orders. I have never encourated a staff member who didn't approach their job with kindness, they make you feel like family. I recommend CAVA ALL of the time to others and their feedback to me is that they enjoyed their meal and the warmth and knowledge of the staff. read more

The last 2 times I ordered food online at the Highland location they got my order wrong. So I tried to call today to place a phone order. Went in for a late lunch and no one was there. Walked right up to order. Decided on the avocado harissa chicken bowl and blueberry lavender tea. Everything was so clean! It's really just a made to order place and you go down the line and tell them what you want or either order straight from their menu if you want no changes. They have the sweetest employees and super helpful. The bowl was full of flavor and was surprisingly fresh! The side of pita bread was small but did order pita chips and both were good. I had half left over and they have carry out bags and tops for your bowls. Now usually I shy away from these type of places because I'm never sure about the order process and that's just my own experiences but this was easy and fast and I'll definitely try more. I had an amazing first experience, I got a kids bowl with grilled chicken, corn, and the tomato/vinegar mix on top and everything was seasoned perfectly. Also the drink options were really good, I got the strawberry citrus juice and it tasted great. But the best part about my experience was how amazing of a server I had! I love the place and service! Very clean, and all the food tasted fresh! I loved how they kept the lettuce! You can visually see it behind the counter, it's labeled with the different blends, and it's covered to keep the refrigeration in and germs away. The employees were fantastic and helpful! I created my vegan bowl, and it was delicious! I did not take a picture of my salad; I got carried away eating it! Cava was good, but I wasn't impressed! I went to this location, and they were out of some items like the coleslaw and hummus. I went on two separate days and they were out of more things that I wanted to try. We originally got the blueberry lemonade but they were out of the classic and the blueberry, so we got the mint cucumber one and it was okay! They were also out of the corn, the original hummus, and the wonton crackers. I understand it's a busy business, but try to keep things in stock please! :( I did appreciate the cleanliness and the area where you can pack your own bag and utensils and take it to go. Cheers to another great option for good and healthy food! I appreciate that the menu isn't exorbitant and from the website it seems it may change seasonally. Fast casual restaurants are so convenient and affordable. The vibe here is modern and chill. The service was friendly and attentive. I had the lentil avocado bowl, which was very filling in spite of being vegetarian. There were so many amazing flavors I tasted something different with each bite. Absolutely love every meal from Cava that I have had. There are a couple of locations in Baton Rouge, LA that I have tried, and I've tried one in Austin, Texas. The ambiance of the restaurants is pretty basic for a chain restaurant, and the service is a little above par for a place like this. Great place to eat for a Chipotle-style Mediterranean meal. 2 stars might be generous. The first couple of times we ate at Cava, several months ago, it was great. But it seems times have changed. When we unpacked our to go order we found that they forgot the pita bread that was clearly listed on our receipt. My salad looked like someone had already eaten most of it. thankfully I had lettuce on hand at home and was able to add to the sad pile of toppings to make it an actual salad. My daughter's chicken and cucumber pita had 5 tiny pieces of cucumber and a mountain of chicken - surely chicken is more expensive than cucumber?? It didn't even make sense. The Good: The food is usually delicious. I did like the Pitas and their bowls are very tasty. The Bad: I have ordered from this location on three separate occasions, and each time there was a problem with the order. Either some item was made incorrectly or something we ordered wasn't in the provided order at all. This is a new location, so I originally chalked it up to new-staff problems. The Ugly: The last time I ordered one of the pitas had a large, unmistakable moldy patch on it. This was not a small patch or something that could be easily overlooked or missed. It covered a significant portion of the pita. This made me nervous about their kitchen food safety protocols. In summary, after giving this location several chances, it appears that this restaurant can't quite meet the standards one would expect of such a large chain. Would not recommend. read more

I love Cava and so far so good with this location. I personally like Cava better than Zoe's. Tastier and more bag for buck than Zoe's however the bowls are not cheap but nothing is cheap anymore. Love cava so no complaints about the food but the service at the highland location is baffling. I went multiple times where the workers would often ration a bowl like we're in an apocalypse when i'm paying $15 for it. Those times, I simply just asked to give a little more than what they are throwing in there. However, a week ago or so, I went in with my boyfriend and there was 3 workers: a taller girl, a shorter girl, and one guy. The taller girl was obviously busy with a to go order and walking around doing HER JOB. The shorter girl was eating the pita chips and refused to make eye contact with us because she did not want to help us. Her back was turned and was talking while eating with her male coworker. The guy (he's usually the one whose very skimpy with the bowls and just throws ingredients in there), also didn't care to acknowledge us when we walk in and continued talking to the shorter girl. The short girl then just walked into the back kitchen because she didn't want to do her job but only talk and eat. She even pretended to do stuff like looking at receipts so she wouldn't help us. It was obvious she wanted to only do the to go orders and not help us and was waiting for her male coworker to help us. We stood there awkwardly for what felt like 6 minutes waiting for them to help us. The guy finally put his gloves back on (eye-twitchingly slow as he continues to talk to the girl and still not looking at us). He walks over to us nonchalantly like he wasn't ignoring us. He then proceeds to scoop half a spoon of rice and throws like 6 romaine lettuce in total in my bowl. The bowl is usually filled to the top a bit but somehow my $15 bowl was only half way despite all that I put on it. Literally half was just air. The food barely even touch the lid of the bowl. All you have to do is scoop food in a damn bowl and somehow you mess that up too? Then, he was so lazy he didn't want to get a new bottle of dressing so he just sprayed whatever was left in the bottle and call that a drizzle of dressing. After paying, he completely leaves the counter without 1) bags because we ordered to go 2) give me my drink cup. The taller girl who usually does her job had to bag our order for us. We left and finished our food in like 3 bites. Waste of money. This location really needs to reassess their workers before it will becomes the downfall of it. For now, I will have to drive all the way to perkins rowe to get cava. read more
