We were there for almost three months (Dec 2022 - Feb 2023). We were quiet and kept to ourselves. Three weeks before we were scheduled to leave, we were evicted without reason, no discussion, no written notice per FL statutes. We were told if we didn't leave by the end of day, the sheriff would be called. We are not drinkers or partiers; this type of treatment is totally foreign to us. After returning home we sent two separate letters requesting an explanation as to why we were evicted - both have been ignored. At least have the courage and decency to respond! Otherwise - PROS: Paved, shaded sites. Nice pool. Nice gatehouse workers. CONS: Close sites. Poor water pressure. Inadequate Internet service. Sewer lagoon next to campground often smells. Lots of barking dogs. Location is 20 minutes from most stores, restaurants, & gas stations. Owners seem to be cliquish and contentious when it comes to the board.

It has an old vintage Florida feel with gorgeous old moss covered trees, kids play areas, an old vintage railroad, tons of biking & walking/hiking trails & a giant Lilly covered pond/lake. I had such a great time the first time I went. There was wildlife everywhere & I got to video some very friendly birds. I went back again & it was even more beautiful the second time, than the first time as it had just rained & all the flowers were blooming. They have a little garden there. It's just so precious. This place is so very beautiful. I keep finding all these different trails, they are obviously working on it & making it bigger with more trails. It's a very peaceful place, Like a forgotten tropical wilderness stuck in time. I have not seen more than 5 people here at once. I love all the Nature Parks for hiking but I have to admit. This one is very special & very unique. I can't wait to return. Highly recommended.

The camp sites were clean, offered power, sewer and water and was very quiet. We didn't see a lot of families but it's towards the end of summer so didn't expect to. There are 3 bathrooms/showers. We only used the ones at the pool area and they were nice. The pond has a lot of brim, bass and more for catch and release. They offer kayaks and canoes to use anytime before dusk. After passing by other campgrounds that we saw on google I think we'd definitely stay here again. It's literally a 5 minute drive to Weeki Wachee too!

HOWEVER, ever since someone was killed on the main entrance (being stupid and racing up the middle) they don't let you ride in, you have to tow your ATV/Dirtbike in. Going 15 miles an hour on a bumpy dirt road for miles can take a while.

Maintenance of the pools especially the indoor pool has been minimal and slow. Others have told me that the sauna hasn't worked in months and still doesn't. The hot tub is frequently down for repair and the plants that used to decorate the pool area are dying. We probably won't return. The management is difficult to approach and not open to suggestions. In fact the office is unstaffed evenings and weekends. I've never been to a campground that is run like this!

The RV campground is 95% full time residents, we were the only RV to arrive or leave within the four days we stayed. Our space was cramped and the hookups were located very inconveniently, I had to drag our sewer hose under our RV to the opposite side. This RV park had water, sewer, and electric. There was a laundry room, which was clean but two of the three washers were out of service. The WiFi was OK for casual usage. The only reason I am giving the campground two stars is that the newly maintained RV campground roads were excellent and that the price reflects the quality of the campground, it was considerably cheaper than other campgrounds we have stayed at. Would I recommend this park? Not really. Would we come back? Not likely. Informational: We travel in a 36' Class A RV.
