I hate to give bad reviews but I also don't like to see hard working people cheated and taken…read moreadvantage of. The home I just moved from already had a termite contract in place so I wanted to continue that contract for my home's safety. So Lookout came out every year to make sure there were still no termites. The cost for this was $250 each time they came out. I asked them why it was so much because I had a termite contract on a home before them and it was $75 a year. They explained to me that they do something extra so I just said ok and paid. Last Fall when they came out they told me I had moisture and mold under the house and it was bad. They said I needed a new moisture barrier and needed it sprayed for mold. They took pictures and showed me. I couldn't see any mold and I already knew I needed a new moisture barrier because the original one was from 1988. They took a picture of one bug and said these bugs hang out where there's moisture. They wanted to do all the work for $5,500. I told them I'd think about it knowing I was going to get a second opinion. Ive owned and remodeled several homes in Tennessee and because of the humid climate there will always be some humidity in a crawl space that is normal. I called Southeastern Termite who Ive used many times and asked them to replace my moisture barrier with a new one because I was planning on selling my home in the near future. They found nothing else wrong and charged me $700. In the meantime Lookout called and said if I would commit today they would give me 10% off the $5500 trying to force me into paying for their lie. I put my house on the market and got an offer. The buyer hired a home inspector. The home inspector said it was dry under my house and even added that it was one of the best crawl spaces he had been inside in a long time and maybe the best. To close on the home I had to deliver a clear termite letter for the buyer's lender. Anytime Ive ever had a termite contract in place with any other company they have always come out and written the termite letter at no cost. If I didn't have a contract in place they'd come out and write the letter for $75. I called Lookout and they said it'd cost me $150 and I had to pay up front before they'd come out. So I paid with a credit card over the phone. Leonard came out to inspect and asked me if I ever got all those crawlspace problems fixed. I told him Southeastern put down a new vapor barrier for me and the home inspector said that I had one of the best crawl spaces he'd ever seen. The guy actually laughed and said I would never use Southeastern Termite. I don't trust them. Well the home inspector didn't work for Southeastern and both said my crawl space was great. So, who should I not trust? Who tried to cheat me and take advantage of a woman who may not have known better? Lookout Pest Control did. That's who. I want to warn anyone needing pest control services to avoid Lookout. I found out there is a reason for their name. LOOKOUT we are coming after lots of your money because we don't care. I wonder if Leonard and other workers are working on commission to lie to people for money. Why else would they try hurting people. For money? They can't be trusted and I feel like it's my responsibility to expose them. I sold my home and called to tell them to cancel my contract because I no longer need it. Now they tell me I can't cancel until they receive the $150 for the termite letter that I already paid for over the phone for them before they'd even come out. They said I need to send them proof. Well I just moved so it may take me awhile to find it. Lookout Pest Control is crooked from top to bottom. PLEASE BEWARE.

Highly Recommend EcoGuard Pest!…read more We have been using EcoGuard Pest for quite some time now, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about them. I've had three different technicians come to our home so far, and every single one has been great! We originally started using their services after my Seresto flea collars failed us and my dogs brought fleas into the house. Granted, we had blasting going on directly behind our house while a new neighborhood was being built, as well as blasting happening at the front of our neighborhood for a different development. This was likely contributing to a much higher-than-normal flea population in our yard, and the flea collars simply couldn't keep up. I called EcoGuard after being stood up by one pest company and rescheduled three times by another. EcoGuard was incredibly quick to come out and was extremely thorough. After just two treatments, they completely eradicated the fleas. We then had them begin treating our yard for fleas and ticks, as well as treating the exterior of our house with their pest maintenance service. This includes spraying to help keep bugs outside of my house, removing wasp nests, spiderwebs, etc. They come out on a quarterly basis. About a month ago, a mouse tried to take refuge in our house. I called EcoGuard immediately, and they came out the very next day. They didn't just set traps and leave--they actually helped me search for where the mouse could have gotten inside. We discovered that our puppy had more than likely pulled the cover off of our exterior dryer vent and chewed on the cover. I fixed that immediately, and thankfully, we haven't had any mice issues since. Then yesterday, I noticed some ants in my kitchen and gave them a call. Again, they came out the very next day. Robert treated the interior baseboards, underneath my sink, the tiny space between my granite and drywall, windows and doors, and placed a bait station on my countertop. He also treated the exterior windows, foundation, around the perimeter of our landscaping beds, the hot tub area, patio, certain areas of the siding and brick... literally anywhere he could treat, he treated! He was incredibly attentive and then took the time to help me look for ant trails so we could figure out where they were coming from. We found the source, and he treated that area as well as placing two bait stations underneath our grill deck where we believe they set up camp. The technician who has come out the last three times is Robert, and he has been absolutely wonderful. He is extremely kind, respectful, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about solving the problem--not just checking a box and leaving. I highly recommend Robert, as well as EcoGuard Pest as a company. They have yet to frustrate me or make me feel like I'm wasting my money. Their prices are very fair, they are on time, every technician I've met has been respectful and thorough, and their customer service is exactly what customer service should be. Even though I've had to call them out for two problems, I do not believe that is because they aren't doing a good job during their quarterly visits. Sometimes, that's just Mother Nature and life! When something unexpected pops up, they are here actually ASAP to help me figure it out and fix the problem--with a smile and a good attitude. That means a lot to me! If you're considering starting pest control service with EcoGuard, they are 100% worth it. Give them a call--you won't regret it!

The previous company swore that they had sprayed our home but the ants/spiders/bugs that kept staying inside begged to differ. Rick came along and was absolutely amazing, reasonably priced, and didn't give us some run around. We no longer have any brown recluses or other unwelcome critters and haven't since we hired him. As long as he's in business, he'll be our go-to guy.
