I'm still in shock. When I spoke to the owner (I assume), he said my location was convenient because his guys were very nearby. It wasn't like they had to go miles and miles away or it was the middle of the night or a weekend. They didn't have to unclog any drains. Just a few puffs of air. It boggles the mind that a company can charge that kind of money for that amount of time.

At the time I paid the services charge, I did not even tell her about our negative experience. The technician had hung up on my husband when my husband told him over the phone that he did not have a credit card at the time and would have me, his wife, call to pay the charge. My husband had declined for them to do the job because they were charging 650 and we wanted a second opinion, as we were not expecting the job to cost that much. (Also, when I had spoken with the technician earlier, he was very rude to me via phone telling me we needed to make a decision because he had other jobs to do. Mind, you, he got there an hour late). Even though this was not a good experience, I was very polite when I called Belinda, to make the payment. She then called me back and said the technician said he could do the job for $500 instead of $650. I told her that I would call my husband and let him know, and get back to her. I called my husband and at that point he said he just did not want to be bothered especially since the technician was rude and hung up on him. At that point I called Belinda back and told her we will decline at this time, especially since the technician left a bad taste in my husband's mouth. She then began to tell me that it wasn't the technician's fault because of past experiences. She actually felt justified in giving me a mouthful about how other customers have said they would pay and ended up not paying....basically I was shocked that this was coming out of the manager's mouth. Managing 101 always says the customer is always right....HELLO this customer paid your unprofessional behind and this is how you treat them? I wasn't going to argue with her, so I just politely said, "Well ma'm, that is loss of a potential customer, any referrals, and a tarnished reputation." When you go to their website, you see about 5 different numbers representing "different" office locations....Haha Belinda answers them all!! You know what sucks? Is when you walk outside and are suddenly hit with a massive humid heat index…read moreof 105*. You know what sucks even more? When the inside of your house has a heat index of 105*. Yup. My AC was sick. It needed a doctor STAT! I called on Thursday after two days of suffering and decided I couldn't take it anymore. I called up Sentry...because their sticker was on the AC.. and I was given two options. I could have someone come in the evening on overtime or I could wait until the next day and someone would be here before 12. I chose the next day, but then called back and changed it to the same day, because I was D-Y-I-N-G. Sooner rather than later, I get a call from someone saying they are on their way to my house to save the day. Then Perry shows up. Perry is a lifesaver. The poor guy was drenched in sweat by the time he was finished. Turns out the AC had a wretched air filter (my fault) and had frozen over. He turned the AC off and ran the fan and said that after 3 hours to turn it back on and see what happens. I cut him a check for $159 and he was on his way home...probably to take a shower. A couple of hours later he even called to tell me it was probably ok to turn it back on. The temp inside my house gradually went down and was back to normal......until the next day. I noticed it started creeping back up. BUT I was leaving for Florida so I decided it would have to wait. Monday morning bright and early I called Perry on his work number and told him the bad news. He told me to turn it off and run the fan, and that he would be over in due time. A few hours later he was at my door. He found nothing wrong with the AC itself, just that the power was not running up to par. He said that Alabama Power had been doing some work and was causing some power surges which might have interfered with the power supply, so he reset the AC internally and boom it started working. Here it is the next day and I am not dead. Perry, you are an AC god. Screw you Alabama Power. I hate you.

I presented a coupon from their website and he quickly adjusted the estimate. The cost was very reasonable. Ben and Amy came out the very next morning and did a fantastic job installing a new unit. I had a ton of questions, especially around ways to save some money, and Ben had already figured out every possible situation to make it the most cost effective for me, yet still have the very best option for our household. They are very skilled and incredibly knowledgeable. They even showed extra care for my wife, who was working the night shift and having to sleep during the day. I cant recommend APP enough. I hope I never need them again, but they will be my first call if I ever do.
