ServSafe was recommended to me for Food Handlers certification for work. Navigating their website was tedious and confusing. I was finally able to purchase the online course with my credit card. I was unable to begin the online course. The website kept sending me back to the starting point. I finally gave up and phoned customer service to request a refund. They refused. I explained that I was unable to get their product to function properly. They still refused. When I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), I learned that the BBB gave them a D- for failure to respond to complaints. As if that wasn't annoying enough, the next day I discovered three fraudulent charges to my credit card from three different dining establishments, two in California and one in Missouri. Perhaps that was just a bizarre coincidence, but it's the first time I have ever had that happen. read more

Do not use Servsafe for your Food Handlers certificates! This company would not reimburse me for 25 keys that had expired 3 days ago and simply didn't care about my business or time. I recommend State Food Safety for certification needs! read more

Great informative class, very hospitable & the BEST teacher! Chef made everyone feel welcome and went out of his way to make sure each individual student understood the lessons. I would highly recommended his classes & plan to take more of his in the future! read more

Chef Herrara really made this class enjoyable! My class laughed a lot. It did not seem like a 6 hr class. I studied for several weeks before test day. There were several things I wasn't quite understanding. Before the test Chef Herrara goes over everything and helped me to learn what I wasn't understanding. When my Serv Safe is expired in 5 yrs I will go back to Chef Herrara's class! I highly recommend him! read more

This guy is under fraud audit. I took the class now I got a letter in the mail saying the testing may have been tampered with and my servsafe is revoked!!!! Use real professional facilities, this guy does it out of his house!!!! I'm upset I have to even deal with this. Beware people!!!! read more

My review is for the facility and staff, only. I picked this facility to take a Marketing exam run…read moreby PearsonVue. The suite is in an office building with free parking and the staff was friendly. There are secure lockers for your belongings. Be sure to know the provisions of your individual exam. My exam allowed restroom and water breaks and I had no issue taking one between the first and second module; however, after a shift change, one of the employees at the front told me I wasn't allowed to get a drink of the water stored in my locker during a second restroom break, despite telling them what exam I was there for. Maybe he was new, and thankfully, someone else told him I was allowed to get my water from my locker to take a drink in the lobby. I realize this is outside the control of the employees but I find any organization that denies anyone access to the restroom or water is questionable. I was allowed to wear a sweater, thankfully, because it was cold in that room. I wore it into the facility and maybe that is why it was allowed. No personal belongings, including Chapstick (because there is writing on the label), are allowed in the room. I didn't think to ask if I could bring it in if I took off the wrapper. If I have to take another PearsonVue exam I would return to this facility.

Abraham did a fantastic job giving the Servsafe class. I have taken this class before and had to renew my certification, and this was by far the best experience. The way he gives the class and goes over the information is very helpful not only to me as an owner, but to see the way my employees were questioned made me feel comfortable as to how much they really knew and also to know they will remember the information that was given that day. Like Abraham said, it's not about just having a piece of paper to be able to hang up on the wall, it's about actually learning and being able to teach others and guide them to have a safe and clean place to prepare and serve food. If you are looking to get servsafe certified look no further, Abraham is the instructor to go to. He is the person that helps you learn with his unique way of teaching. He is not like other instructors that will talk on forever and make you listen. He interacts with his students and gives examples, some from his personal experience, as he teaches making it interesting and easy to learn about food safety. read more

Does not sugar coat the seriousness of food safety. Very informative. Very helpful in understanding anything you are unable to grasp right away. Willing to answer any questions you may have.
