I got my hair cut there a few weeks ago and just now straighten it (I have curly hair). I wanted a shag and showed pictures and was very specific with how wanted it. i wanted no length cut, blended layers, just a long shag. I specifically said that I understood that since my hair is so long it will be very thin at the ends etc. she cut 4 or so inches off my hair it was almost waist length and now it just barely reaches breast length. the layers are choppy and uneven completely disconnected. it seemed like she realized she messed up because she kept saying how cool it was that it was choppy and "crazy". she also said to one of the other stylists that "it's better to cut a lot of the length with layered styles because it gets ratty at the ends." even thought I specifically said to not touch the length. She curled before I left which I think was to try to hide some of the unevenness but was having a hard time doing so and curl some parts and left others uncurled. I was disappointed when I left but figured it can't be too bad, mostly just sad about the length until I started realizing how choppy it was. Super disappointed! I was excited to get a shag since I had finally grown my hair to the length I wanted and now I'm back to square -1. I have been attempting to grow it out and maintain the health of my hair since middle school (I'm currently 5 years out of high school). read more

BEST MANI-PEDI ever, anywhere in the known universe: Sherry! I'm a tough customer where my nails are concerned - so tough in fact that I'd rather not get a mani-pedi than get a bad one. So I often go without. Sherry's space is private - not quite luxe but sweet & timeless chic. She is a doll, personality-wise - down to earth, sweet, observant, flexible. Which is nice - but her work ethic is the reason I'm taking the time to share. My hands - but especially my feet - have never been so pampered. This is the most thorough, meticulous, and btw beautiful pedicure I've ever gotten. I swear I forgot where I was for a few minutes when she was working on my feet. Great selection of nail colors of course, but also the best skin and nail care products - OPI, Chanel, etc. The callous breakdown stuff she used is marvelous. Feel feel like baby's. Sherry is usually booked out 3+ weeks, and you'll have to call the salon to initiate booking, but the extra steps are worth it. Get in before the summer, when she'll get so busy she'll have to close her new client list! Final note - I usually tip 10-15% on this kind of service but I'm going back today to bring her more cash. I highly recommend this salon and you won't be disappointed! Oriana is a gem. She knows hair and has a heart of gold. My hair was long, wispy, and damaged with split ends. I have fine thin hair. Pre-cut it was looking flat and admittedly a little ratty. Oriana added cute layers to give my hair volume and movement. My hair looks healthy again. I was really upset by the shorter length at first. I had a hard time adjusting to my shorter locks... for the first 24 hours. The day after my cut, I came back to the salon and Oriana gave me a big hug. She was super sweet and talked me through everything about my hair. She gave me a lesson on how to style my new look. I have been going to sessions since I was a kid (17 years) and have always loved the vibe. But Kelly (my stylist) has recently become the owner and I've watched the business explode in the best way! Remodeling to make it fun, flashy and sophisticated! Expanding to add skin and body care, tanning and a fun little bar seating area where people drink, talk and laugh while waiting for their appointment. She has new stylists, unique hair extensions and she does all the expos/events with styling pop ups for adults and kids! I had a great time with Melissa! She's so good at what she does. I barely even felt the time in her chair. She cleaned up my long bob meticulously without any fuss and touched up the colors with a balayage. I just wish I had longer hair for her to work more magic on. Luckily for me it grows fast so that I can be back in her chair soon. She uses the best bumble and bumble products and the view from the chair of the lake is the awesome. AMAZING! That's really the only way to sum everything up. I went in to get my hair dyed blonde and Kelly the owner did an amazing job. When I got home, I realized that I had made a mistake and did not actually want to be blonde (long story). It was nothing that was done wrong, but just ME not actually wanting to be a blonde. Kelly was super understanding and had me come back the next day to get me to the color that I want. And she did an amazing job! I am obsessed with how it came out. Not only was she very nice and understanding, she didn't charge me for the re-dye. With finances being a little tight with my wedding coming up in couple weeks, this was a huge help in that department and I was not expecting it. Especially since the "mistake" was fully my fault. Kelly was awesome! She squeezed me in last minute and took her time to understand what I needed done. She perfectly colored my roots and layered my shoulder length hair. When my two kids begged for haircuts while my color was processing, she delivered. They walked out so happy and I was happy as well.
