I spoke with several other attorneys after the fact and they all agreed that Jad Brewer only did what public defendant would have. I kept calling the office to see if they heard any news or if I should do anything. They said the same thing every time, be patient. Turns out it has been over a year with no progress. I contacted them today about the situation and their exact words were, " I can give you the number for you to call yourself." I could not believe that the lawyers that didn't do anything to begin with didn't even see the case through to the end. Choosing the defense group was the worst investment I have ever made. Months went by, and I had to be the one to contact them to get updates on my own case. They assigned me a second paralegal, Jessica, who emailed me in February 2026 saying the expungement was completed and everything was ready. In June, I requested my background check with my license, and the charge was still there. I called again, and they assigned me a third paralegal, Veronica Reyes, who told me I needed to pay $45 to the Court for a certified copy and that this would resolve the issue. I went to the Court myself, paid, and then was told that the Court would send the copy to the DMV and that the firm had 'already done their part.' Now I will have to hire someone else to finish the follow‑up and confirm that the charge is removed from every agency. I paid everything upfront and received mistreatment, disorganization, and zero accountability. I do not recommend this firm.
