I was rear ended on i-80 near Raley Blvd in September 2018 during the evening traffic. I was at a stand still and got hit by Tacoma truck who was not paying attention to traffic. My car was totalled and I suffered back & arm pain and anxiety while driving in traffic. Fred made this ordeal a lot easier, I had little to no communication with the other party insurance adjuster, Fred and his staff took care of everything. His main concern is the well being of his client first and foremost. One needs to be patient with the process, the doctor visits, physical therapy all takes time. I liked how Fred was always was honest with me and did not beat around the bush. I am absolutely disgusted and appalled by this "law firm" and I hope any one who is currently suffering, who has been in an accident completely avoids this place. I feel as though it is my job to warn my family, my friends, my social media following, a stranger of this completely unprofessional establishment. I was referred to them by BERG INJURY, in my desperation after my car accident I wanted help immediately. Seeing as though this law firm looks rather "new" I had hesitations, but would never in my wildest dreams expect this nightmare. I called and spoke to "Kristina", who i later was told was a paralegal. She quickly took my case and emailed me a form to sign which I did. She was very responsive at first in text messages, this lasted three days. I never heard back from her when Geico needed a letter of representation, I never heard back from her when I sent her my information about where my totaled car was in a tow yard, I never heard back from her when I asked to switch chiropractors. Communication was completely gone. I had to literally call the receptionist who told me "they are switching locations they are busy" and that I will be contacted the following business day. I NEVER heard from Kristina again. 10 days of NOTHING being done for me, no adjuster being sent to assess the damages of my vehicle, no calls to my insurance, no calls to my chiropractor to confirm representation. I am without a vehicle, emotionally and physically scarred from the accident, struggling to get to work. I soon realize I won't be getting any help from this "law firm" and I call and speak to the receptionist again to let them know I no longer want their "service". Immediately she put me on the phone with "Fred Sette" he immediately bombards me with excuses, claiming they indeed FAXED over letter of representation and claimed he even CALLED Geico to confirm this. He went as far as staying my insurance GEICO Is a liar. Accusing them of hiding information from me. Mind you, I've had Geico for years and never ever had an issue with them. I spoke to Geico and they told me they had received two written letters via MAIL 10 days later from Sette, they also told me they currently received a half assed FAX with only "FRED SETTE LAW" and a blank page sent to them. Take note, this fax was sent the DAY I called and asked Sette law why my letter of representation was not sent to Geico yet??? So basically if you put two and two together they mailed a letter of representation instead of faxing it, this took over 9 days to get to my insurance. Realizing how concerned I was they then quickly faxed over an incomplete fax to Geico. 10 days too late, at this point I was done with them. So back to the conversation with Sette, knowing I was done with their service he chose to "blame" another party for their mistakes and tells me he will FAX over a "letter" confirming they no longer represent me and that he will email me this as well. I called my insurance Geico the following day to confirm they received this information. They tell me they have received NOTHING. I am unable to move forward, I am unable to get anyone to look at my car because on my insurance it still states "under attorney" I check my email and nothing. I am CURRENTLY unwillingly under Fred Sette law attorney and they are refusing to release me from their services. The receptionist at Fred Sette law laughed on the phone at me clearly distressed and concerned. Meanwhile I'm physically in pain, with no car, and no help. This is truly a nightmare I'm asking friends and family to help me with this and hopefully a solution to this problem is near. I hope no one goes through what I'm going through with this law firm. Frederick Sette is unprofessional and extremely rude. I would not recommend Sette law to my worst enemy. We were looking for an attorney so we contacted Mr. Sette and unfortunately signed a contract with him. He dragged our case for a long time with no progress made whatsoever. He was never available and each time we were able to get a hold of him, he was rude and unsupportive. His office staff are rude as well and inefficient. After our case was dragged on for a long time, we were told by Sette that our case was going to be transferred to another firm. Mr. Sette is only able to take on simple cases. Once it gets slightly complex, he cannot manage it. His only positive is that once he realizes he cannot handle the case, he has to transfer it. read more

Fred Sette is a true professional, who does not make over statements or promises and is a man of integrity and has a genuine personal interest in your situation. I only wish we had reached out to Fred prior to my mother in law signing a contract with another attorney who contacted her right after she was involved in an accident caused by a drunk driver. Mr. Sette still took the time to meet with us, and go over the case with us, and let us know the process that the court takes when determining civil responsibility. Mr. Sette spent at a minimum of 8 -10 hours in reviewing our files even knowing that my mother in law was already under contract. In the end Fred informed us that it is in OUR best interest to stay with the current attorney and left us with specific questions to ask, because he knew that the "ambulance chasing " attorney that she signed on with, would file a lien against any judgement she would be awarded and did not want her to have to double pay for the case..
