I've had this treatment done elsewhere dozens of times in the past and never had this problem. - When I expressed this concern to them, they dismissed it. When I expressed that I felt dismissed, they said "We're sorry you are feeling that your concerns were being dismissed". That is not a proper apology, and there was no compensation offered for the session that had zero effect. - In fact, that session price was DOUBLED because of the reasons I'll describe below. - Their pricing scheme is sketchy & scammy. The 6-session package rate is presented as 50% off, but it's actually the standard rate (in fact I was quoted almost 30% less than that amount at a different vendor), with the single-session price set at twice that amount. As a result, I was charged that inflated rate for a treatment that produced no results. When I signed up, I thought it was a harmless marketing gimmick, but it was used against me in the end. (I think they assume their customers are dumb and will be overjoyed to get 50% off of double the rate) Update: I went to that other vendor and actually got the result I had expected from this one. Save yourself the trouble and money and humiliation, just go somewhere else. --- 8/14 update: After I notified the company that I intended to dispute the charge and file consumer complaints, they responded by calling my communications "threatening, abusive, or aggressive," referred to my consumer complaints as "ongoing threats," and wrote, "If you wish to escalate this harassment further," they would report me to local authorities. I found this response bizarre, deeply unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. Threatening a customer with law enforcement for saying they intend to dispute a charge and file complaints with consumer-protection agencies is an extraordinary way for a medical practice to handle a billing dispute.

I've been trying to get multiple issues with my account resolved for over two months, and it has been incredibly frustrating. I've had treatments disappear from my account, had to repeatedly follow up just to get someone to address the issues, and have had significant difficulty getting appointments scheduled. When I raised the account issue, I was told I could monitor my remaining treatments in the LaserAway app after each visit. These are treatments I have already paid for, and I shouldn't have to monitor my account to make sure they remain properly credited. I was also specifically told I would be scheduled with one of their most experienced nurses, and I drove farther to the Novato location for that appointment based on that information. Instead, I was given a nurse who had been with the company for less than a month. I'm not saying she did a bad job--the issue is that this was not what I specifically requested and was told would be arranged. What's especially disappointing is that when I started looking at the recent reviews, I realized I'm clearly not the only customer experiencing these issues. There are numerous recent negative reviews describing problems with communication, account/package issues, scheduling, and customer service. Unfortunately, my experience has been very similar. I've spent a significant amount of money with LaserAway over the years and was once a very happy longtime customer. It's extremely disappointing to see how much the customer experience has declined. I've tried repeatedly to resolve these issues directly, but after more than two months, I'm still having to chase answers. I would strongly recommend considering other options before purchasing treatments or packages here.

I didn't realize they had a little parking lot so I parked on the street and walked around until it was time to go inside. Please keep in mind to get to the entrance it is a fair amount of stairs, I am unsure if there is there an elevator or not. The office doesn't open until 9 but I was booked for 9 am and knew I had to come in a little early to sign the medical documents. The very kind receptionist was happy to see me at 8:50 am and helped me to sign the documents. She kindly brought me water while I waited for the esthetician to be ready. My consultation with the esthetician made me feel cared about as she took in my skin concerns and products I use. Sometimes during this process at other spas, one can feel judgement for their personal routine but she was so kind and genuinely wanted to make sure I had a good routine. She had excellent techniques and my skin was so clean and hydrated. She did give me extractions that I was nervous about but I know I needed it, she had the perfect touch to my skin as she was trying to make it as painless as possible for me. At the end she gave me some recommendations for my future skincare and I hope to see her again soon so she can reassess my skin again. Overall I had a great experience and would love to book again.

From my very first phone call, consultation, follow-up emails, video calls, and scheduling, every single person has been attentive, efficient, kind, and incredibly responsive. Dr. Tom has surrounded himself with an amazing team. I never once felt forgotten, hurried, or like my questions were a bother. I had a conscious sedation, or "awake," tummy tuck with liposuction to my abdomen and flanks. Because we live out of the area, I had several calls and video visits with the office before surgery. By the time I arrived, I felt completely relaxed and well informed. My questions had been answered, my labs were complete, and I already had my medications in hand. The entire process was incredibly organized. Surgery day could not have gone more smoothly. I had no complications or complaints and was completely comfortable. I actually napped on and off throughout the procedure! The entire surgical team made me feel safe, relaxed, and very well cared for. The post-op care has been just as impressive. Dr. Tom personally stayed in contact with both my husband and me the day of surgery and the following day, and we were given his personal cell phone number in case we had any concerns or urgent needs. On my second night post-op, I developed a mild fever of 100.9°. My husband called Dr. Tom at 8:30 that evening, and he answered his cell phone immediately. He was incredibly kind and reassuring, talked us through what was happening, and gave us advice on what to do. Thankfully, everything was fine and it was simply my body reacting to everything it had been through. Dr. Tom then called the next morning to check on me and offered to have me come into the office if I wanted to be seen. That experience really drove home that when he gives you his personal number and tells you to call if you need him, he means it. I'm now post-op day five and am still receiving a daily text checking on my progress. That level of care means so much. And the results... WOW. I know I'm only five days post-op and several months away from seeing my final result, but I already could not be happier. I can see beautiful definition in my waist and a flat stomach, even this early in the healing process. For anyone wondering about my starting point, I'm 5'2", was 124 pounds going into surgery, and would consider myself to have an athletic build. My trouble areas have always been my "mom pouch" and love handles, where I tended to carry any extra weight. At 46 years young, I finally decided to do this as a gift to myself. I had wanted a tummy tuck for the better part of 15 years. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Dr. Tom and his team have made something I anticipated for years feel remarkably easy, comfortable, and positive. I would choose them again without hesitation.
