It's a corner store, and just a corner store, but there's a dearth if stores where you can grab a…read moresnack or a bev downtown, especially later in the day, so it really serves a necessary purpose. The prices aren't great, but they're also not terrible, although also not well marked so I was sort of rolling the dice but it worked out okay. The selection is very basic, but if you need a convenience store item, this will serve well. The staff is friendly and I find it reassuring to have a place like this around, well lit and safe and open pretty late on the main street. It has sodas and candy and snacks and some alcoholic beverages if one wants to byo. It's catty-corner from the park. They take cards over $5, which seems fair. They're open about as late as you'd expect in most cities.

I rarely venture pass the fuel counter - the staff here was very friendly and efficient so although I have to make two trips inside one to prepay and another to retrieve my actual receipt I'm used to their protocols so it is what it is. Nothing bad or surprising here diesel fuel is dirty but they seem to be on top of things here most Love's location periodically pressure wash the fuel island and have buckets of soapy water and bug sponges and squeegee near each fuel pump (the ones I used this visit needs replacement they are a little worn). There's no doubt I'll stop again if I need fuel when I'm back in the area since Love's is my fuel stop of choice, trust me they are next level when compared to a lot of their competitors...

That was good had to substitute the pineapple in the original smoothie for bananas because they were out. Still tasted really good. My husband also got a cinnamon roll. Unfortunately the cinnamon roll was not great. It was hard as a rock. They didn't even warm it up the frosting that went with the cinnamon roll was fairly good but couldn't get over eating a rock.

It is as close to lunch time, so I went with the lunch special, where I chose 2 fresh slices of pepperoni and sausage pizza, and a drink for 9 bucks! It's a pretty good deal! They got my order ready to go pretty quickly, and I took it to my car, since the place is small and they have no dine in seating. While I was waiting, a lady came in and picked up an enormous pizza, bigger than you'll find at any chain restaurant. It was so large, she had to put the seats down in the back of her SUV to fit it in the hatch. But enough about that. Let's get to the main event! That pizza was pretty amazing! The crust was golden and crispy on the outside, yet soft and pillowy on the inside. The sauce, which I believe is made in house, was sufficiently tangy and tasted very fresh. The pepperoni was cooked crisp and wasn't overly greasy and the sausage had a great, robust flavor that was the star of the show. This is everything I love about a great pizza, and it's local, so that's just one more praise to sing about it! I paired it with a bottle of Coke, which absolutely was perfect with this pizza. So if you're out in West Mobile, this little place is worth a stop. Grab a slice, or a pie for the entire family. It does not disappoint. They also have pasta on their menu, which gives me a reason to go back and try something else!

There was a steady stream of customers and phone calls for those of us doing our Christmas shopping. There were probably a few tourists, too, as Dees Pecans is a well-known destination for perfect pecans, pecan pies, candies, marinades, and other homemade treats. I checked the website and learned about the basic offerings, but once inside, I found out the storefront had so much more available. I ordered a Chocolate Pecan Pie, which Dees can ship in a custom tin to safeguard the pie to reach its destination. I added Dark Chocolate Pecans, Roasted and Salted Pecans, and another favorite, the Pecan Pie in a Jar. Lastly, I bought Key Lime Pecans and Cinnamon Pecans - two delicious powdered flavors! Everyone at Dee's was friendly and helpful in explaining the different flavors of pecans and coffee. The order went smoothly, and the Chocolate Pecan Pie and other items are expected to ship soon. My daughter and her husband will enjoy a taste of Dees Pecans to remind them of Alabama and home. I look forward to the next occasion and time I visit Dees Pecan Company.
