Being an experienced food delivery person, I get all over the county, and I love to try new places. Out in West Mobile, you'll find this gem, Joe's Pizza and Pasta, a cute little store front location, where you'll find some of the best food in town, served up by a friendly and fantastic crew! It is as close to lunch time, so I went with the lunch special, where I chose 2 fresh slices of pepperoni and sausage pizza, and a drink for 9 bucks! It's a pretty good deal! They got my order ready to go pretty quickly, and I took it to my car, since the place is small and they have no dine in seating. While I was waiting, a lady came in and picked up an enormous pizza, bigger than you'll find at any chain restaurant. It was so large, she had to put the seats down in the back of her SUV to fit it in the hatch. But enough about that. Let's get to the main event! That pizza was pretty amazing! The crust was golden and crispy on the outside, yet soft and pillowy on the inside. The sauce, which I believe is made in house, was sufficiently tangy and tasted very fresh. The pepperoni was cooked crisp and wasn't overly greasy and the sausage had a great, robust flavor that was the star of the show. This is everything I love about a great pizza, and it's local, so that's just one more praise to sing about it! I paired it with a bottle of Coke, which absolutely was perfect with this pizza. So if you're out in West Mobile, this little place is worth a stop. Grab a slice, or a pie for the entire family. It does not disappoint. I wanted pizza but I didn't want just any regular degular pizza. I wanted something authentic and from what I've been told Joe's is authentic. I've only had it once but from what I remember it was good. I usually like pizza with Italian sausage. I made an order for an 18" inch pizza. I drove to pick it up and while I driving I received a text that said my pizza was ready. To put that in perspective, I live about 18 minutes from Joe's. Yes, I really wanted Joe's pizza. When I arrived the person at the front desk asked if I wanted marinara sauce and I did. He held the door open for me when I walked out. You got to understand that pizza box is not small. I really appreciated that. So the aroma in my car was excellent from the pizza. Also, the box was hot to the the touch. That part is especially important since the drive to my house isn't short. When I get to my house the pizza box was still hot. And when I got my first slice it was as well. The first was so delicious. The slices are humongous. And the marinara sauce was very tasty. My only gripe is that I wish Joe's pizza was on my side of town. read more

This is my favorite pizza in Mobile, AL, it is not close. It is a to go joint, but the staff is knowledgeable & family run. My wife and I recently moved into West Mobile and heard about Joe's from a friend that lived here. This pizza is too good to be less than a mile from our new place. I always start a new pizza place by ordering the basic: pepperoni pizza. They nailed it. The crust is crispy yet soft, and the toppings proportional. Went back the next week for a 24" Supreme, holy cow. So good! We're excited to be in Mobile, and having a great pizza place as our neighbor is dangerous. We ordered the lasagna pizza and added jalapeños on one side. The inner half of the pizza the dough was so paper thin it was wet and soggy and made the whole pie really unbearable to eat. Other pizzas with less toppings around us looked better so maybe a pie with less toppings would have been better. This just wasn't a great first time experience here. read more

I've gotten joes a couple times before and really they're just so close yet a little far from me to consider often. I love their pizza and my girlfriend loves their pepperoni calzones. Let me just say I have never seen a pizza place take the food out to the persons car for them. OR hold the doors open for them. 2. They gratuitously answer any questions that you have in a timely and professional manner. They treat everyone who enters like family. You feel very welcomed almost like you are visiting an old friend. That old friend is joe! The owner. Went for the first time over the weekend. They had a great lunch special - 2 slices of pizza with a drink for $7. The two people I went with asked for additional toppings on their slices and the workers were more than willing to add them! Their pizza was great (I enjoyed the four cheese pizza slice)! Will be going back again! For information's sake, there are a couple of chairs inside to sit on while waiting for your order, but there aren't tables. Took me two years, but I finally found Giuseppe (Joe) after he had to move his business from Spanish Fort. Do yourself a favor and get the Quattro Formaggi. It's hard to describe but it has the perfect blend of cheeses and a nice, chewy crust that just makes for a really great pie. But anything you order here should be good. I've had the baked ziti, pepperoni pizza, and lasagna. No complaints on any of it. You can tell the ingredients are fresh. I believe sausage is used in the meat sauce, so note that if you're not a fan of sausage. The crust is thin and foldable, and has a chewy texture. It's not cracker thin. Next up I want to try their carbonara. It's one of my favorite dishes but I've been hesitant to try it. After three pleasant experiences, I'll give it a go. read more

After hearing others recommend Joe's we decided to give it a try. The stuffed pizza was great as well as the simple pepperoni pizza. We ordered take out and the service was faster than I anticipated. Joe's was further out in west Mobile than I thought so my pizzas were ready before I arrived. It wasn't a problem though because they were both still hot when we were ready to eat. read more
