As it was, I bought a handmade knitted scarf for a family member for $18 - that's right, something that would have cost me $30 in Boston was $18 and the craftsmanship and design were beautiful. She has a lot of stuff on consignment, so that stuff is subject to what the artisans want to charge (some things were beautiful but a little overpriced). There was a handmade, leather purse that was slashed 1/2 off to $35 - It was worth it but I was not shopping for me (better to given than receive ... damn it!).

They had Yankee candles, scarves, nicer clothing, flip flops and other cork-soled specialty shoes, purses, and some really lovely jewelry. I found a pair of sparkly earrings, sterling silver and locally made, for $35, which is perfect since the holidays are coming up and my inside guy said his wife likes pretty, sparkly things. The man behind the counter was very kind, offering suggestions and in general just being available without being overbearing. I will be back here soon, this is a cute shop with distinctive and elegant items at reasonable prices. Good find.

Teddy's Tees has been working with the Advanced Studies Program (a summer program for local NH high school students) for years now, and our program keeps working with them for good reason: Teddy's Tees is thorough, reliable and they are always attentive to our needs. Most notably, Sue and Teddy's Tees went above and beyond this year when our t-shirt order needed to be adjusted due to an error that we made with our original proof. When one of our interns at the program made a small mistake with the final proof for the t-shirt, Sue and Teddy's Tees did not make a big deal about the problem, despite the responsibility of the error falling squarely on our shoulders: we had made a mistake with the original proof, the shirts had been printed, and the error was clearly our fault (and not Teddy's Tees's fault). In fact, Sue and Teddy's Tees offered to reprint the shirts, fixing our mistake, and helping to ensure that all of our students would be happy and satisfied with the final product. So, in a world when the ease of making custom shirts online is awfully tempting, it's the customer support and general kindness at Teddy's Tees that make working with them such a more pleasant experience.
