Unfortunately, my experience here was extremely upsetting. While I was browsing, I felt repeatedly watched and rushed by the owner/employee, who told me they were closing for lunch in ten minutes. Since that wasn't enough time to finish shopping, I asked if they could hold the items I had selected so I could return shortly afterward. I was told they could not, so I said I would come back. When I returned about an hour later, the man told me, "The owner just called and said he doesn't want you in the store." I was completely confused and asked why, but I was so caught off guard and upset that I ultimately just left. I genuinely cannot understand what I did to warrant being told I was not welcome. I had simply been taking my time looking for gifts. I've had a wonderful experience throughout Maggie Valley, but this interaction left me feeling extremely unwelcome and embarrassed. I have never experienced anything like this before, and I'm very disappointed that what should have been an enjoyable shopping experience turned into this.

It was interesting to go around the building and see some of the things, and to look at the produce that was available, but we found some of the produce sitting on the ground rotting, which was sad and not at all appealing. If you need something to remember your trip to this area, by all means this place will have some sort of trinket that will do the job, but just remember that that is what you are going to get here... trinkets.
