The name of the store comes from the fact that they carry items from around the world. I love shopping here because you will find items you won't see anywhere else. I always get compliments when I wear something from this store. My sisters-in-law call it "the leggings store" because they carry so many (supersoft) leggings. Their specialty is tunics and dusters but you'll also find dresses, pants, jackets, and more. The sales team is a great resource to help you find just what you're looking for. Prices are mostly on the higher end but, in my opinion, reasonable for a curated collection of unusual items.

I fight down a panic and try to not feel numb. For me, thrift stores are an antidote. This thrift store has been rearranged. It is bigger now. More space to move. Clothing was hung by color or print. Most stuff is arranged in certain categories and labeled. Small, framed pictures were hard to get to. Scarfs were overflowing. You have to put in an effort in some areas still, but overall, the makeover of this shop is a great improvement. There is even a unisex bathroom now! However, the sink was not working. Not ideal, pandemic or no pandemic. No no if you have to go go. The dressing rooms were not open. Not sure why. Rampant theft of six-year-old Old Navy blouses, or just HCM trying not to entice people to share small spaces with abated breaths. The reason that I removed one star is because one of the cashiers is INCREASING THE PRICES AT HER DISCRETION. Her doing that is immoral and may even be unlawful. I let her get away with it with the book I was buying. The price had been reduced by half, but she added a quarter. However, just about twenty minutes ago, my daughter told me that the cashier did the same with her craft items. I know that HCM has to fix the sink, but I draw the line at scamming a kid. I feel good that by us shopping here, we are supporting people in times of crises. But I don't have to support a con. I will return when I can clean my hands and HCM cleans their souls.

You could literally walk in, look at the great signage and find your cardi in the right color and size within a minute or 2. That's about double what it's worth. Next, the owner is EXTREMELY outgoing...to the point of making you uncomfortable. Sure, he's friendly, but he appears to be on a constant caffeine or sugar high, bouncing off the walls. Don't get me wrong...I appreciate when someone is friendly, but this was to the point of being intrusive, and a bit creepy. Topping it off was the picture taped by the front door of President Biden made up as a terrorist. Look, I get it...it's his shop; he can do what he wants. But it's my time and my money, and I don't give a rat's crap about his politics. Yeah, yeah, I realize we were in Trump country, and the multiple life-sized cardboard cutouts of the guy only reinforced that, but I don't have to deal with that sort of nonsense. I actually found something I was interested in (one of the few reasonably-priced pieces in the store), but that interest dropped to zero when I saw the Biden picture. If you're willing to throw your politics under people's nose it just tells me you don't care about honking off a certain percentage of your potential customers...and that is a stupid business move. The smartest thing this guy could do would be to to dial back the in-your-face approach to customer interaction and keep his politics under wrap.
