(As a new immigrant, I was unaware this chain of dentistry has a terrible reputation.) My infection was so severe I was rushed to the hospital after my face became so swollen I looked like the elephant woman and I developed a very high fever. At the time I was rushed to the hospital, I had no idea this was even dental related. Upon discharge from the hospital, we immediately drove to Dr. Nielsen's office. When I walked through the door looking like the elephant woman, Dr. Nielsen immediately took time to see me. He invests in the newest state-of-the art technology and took 3D images to show the severity of the infection, refer me to a reputable endodontist and create a plan to get me back to good dental health. I was blown away by his compassion when he refused to accept payment for the 3D images he took of my mouth. Dr. Nielson has a compassionate heart and genuinely cares. I have since moved my entire family over to Northern Smiles Dentistry and will remain loyal to Dr. Nielson for as long as he is practicing dentistry. What makes his practice outstanding is the technology he invests in to offer services/produces in house. He even manufactures mouth guards in house, so the wait time is shorter than dentists who outsource that manufacturing service. I cannot recommend this dentist any higher. AAAAA+++++

Turns out what they said was wrong isn't actually wrong but there's a couple of other things that are wrong that they missed. And all of it can be done by a regular dentist, no specialist needed. This dental practice is not what it used to be over 10 years ago. Dr. Wuerker has lost all interpersonal skills. I was an idiot for giving him a second chance. After walking around to cool down, I found a homeless guy who lives behind the FNB who offered me a cleaning and he did a wonderful job. Yeah his hands were a bit more shakey than Dr. Wuerker but he gives you a little hi chew when you're done so it works itself out in the end. He also accepted many payment methods including multiple brands of cigarettes (open and unopened!) Dr. Wuerker has a cool dog that gave me a boop outside when I needed it so thankful for that small moment but that's about it. Find another practice. Save yourself a TON of stress and $$$. They get you in the door then will drop all the extra $$$ during the visit when none was discussed on phone. Second time. I wish the dog well but that's about it.
