Great selection of designer glasses! Customer service is pretty good too! Prices were a little high. Peepers had a pair of Gucci shades for $650, but I was able to fine them online at another eyeglass store for $200. They shipped and arrived in two business days. However, the Tiffany readers that I purchased from Peepers were a statement piece. I absolutely love them. My glasses were ready in about five days. Great customer service and experience. Greeted immediately as I came in. Checked in and yhe Eye exam had many parts to it but it was dine ina fairly quick manner. Dr. Counsel was very attentive and answered all my questions. Kat then took me over and helped me find the glasses that would complement my face. It's definitely an odd thing to see any company have five star reviews. This was one of the leading factors choosing Severna Park eye Care for an eye exam and new glasses. I love the fact that you can make an appointment online pick your doctor and there was a variety of open appointments within a reasonable amount of time. I had Dr Henriksen and was very pleased with my exam and his willingness and ability to answer my questions. The facilities are ultra modern and very clean. It definitely reminds me of a Scandinavian airport which I actually like.. the decor of the facility is like someone invaded an Ikea. I'm not being critical I think it's quite clean modern and welcoming. There is a wide selection of frames and they accept most insurance companies. Every employee I interacted with was top notch friendly helpful and welcoming. Looking at the employees demeanor they all seem happy and seem to enjoy their job. Unfortunately in this day and age you don't see that a lot anymore. The location is convenient.. I'm very happy with every aspect of my visit and I can agree this place is five star! I also am very pleased to be able to find a frame that wasn't made in China.. when I was looking for frames I said I prefer frames not made in China and the employee was able to point me in the right direction and actually knew where the frames were made. My husband and I both had our first appointment at Peepers this past week. We were not sure what to expect, but I did notice the consistent positive reviews on Yelp which helped us decide. We both had appointments with Dr. Roman, who we both thought was super nice, sweet, and thorough. The store has so many options for glasses and sunglasses, and I really enjoyed the decor/design aesthetic inside. Everyone was friendly and everything was done in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend it to others seeking an eye doctor appointment with lots of options for glasses. In terms of COVID, all staff wore masks (as required of patrons too) and you were required to keep distance inside the store. I saw them sanitizing while we were there as well. read more

Bottom Line: Advanced technology, factory-like processing of patients and a wide variety of frames. Peepers has a new location so that means that its time for a new review! Ohh, Peepers . . . a few decades ago Peepers was probably 400 sq. ft. with Dr. Tilles as the sole doctor using mechanical machines to assess vision and eye health. Everything has drastically changed since then - even my vision! Fast few a few decades and several locations later and Peepers is a large, technologically advanced, factory-like optometrist practice, for better or for worse. Peepers new location is huge and bright and the layout is optimal for processing patients like a well-oiled machine. I appreciate that I was immediately greeted. From there I was ushered down the assembly line - first the waiting room where they have coffee and tea, then a room with a machine that did something, then another room with another machine that did something else and then to the final machine room with a machine that did something else. Finally, I got to go see the wizard, scratch that, doctor. By the time I passed through all of the stations and machines I really wondered if the doctor would be real or if she would be a hologram. As it turns out, she was very real, knowledgeable, warm and endearing. Although my interaction with Dr. Wang was brief it was very positive. Next it was out to get glasses. Again, I got to interact with a real person - Carla. She is a rockstar at her job. She provided candid feedback about how frames looked on me and she easily located frames that were the perfect fit for my face, flattering and comfortable. Yay Carla! Even with great VSP insurance I feel like I spent a fortune here for a comprehensive eye exam, contact fitting, contacts and glasses. But, I am sure will look fabulous in my new tortoise shell glasses that are made from real tortoises from the Galapagos Islands! (At least, that is what I am assuming.) I think I am just getting old and more sensitive to prices and using old people phrases like "when I was your age" and "back in the day." So yeah, I kinda miss the days of the intimate little Peepers location and the attentive, personal care of Dr. Tilles but I certainly think Peepers is the best place for contacts and glasses in AACo. read more

Recently had an excellent experience when I needed an urgent glasses repair (a lens had popped out) and ear grips (favorite frames on two pairs slide down a bit). Megan immediately repaired the glasses, and Oscar, who works in the lab, followed up with the ear grips. He took quite a bit of time ensuring that they fit were exactly right. My strength is very good there. Staff was very friendly very helpful I was seen quickly by the doctor and my eyes checked out. The only thing I didn't like was they dilated my eyes and then sent me out to look at glasses... I couldn't really see that well and had to send pictures to my fiancé to figure out which ones I can look at on my face because I couldn't see myself in the mirror. I do think in the future should probably send people out to pick out frames and then dilate their eyes. But other than that had a wonderful experience. read more

Fantastic customer service. When you step into their large store, their selection amount is a bit overwhelming but the staff there have been warm and helpful. I've been wearing glasses for 20 years thus I've had my fair share of numerous optometrists and ophthalmologists but this location's technology was pretty cool. Severna Park Eye Care was a breath of fresh air. From the aesthetics to the selection to the doctors and staff, Severna Park made what is typically a dismal experience, a walk in the park. After a less-than-wonderful experience elsewhere, I decided to try Peepers of Severna Park. Two friends highly recommended Dr. Johnson and his practice, so I thought it was worth a shot. (Also, http://www.demandforce.com/b/peeperseyecare features more reviews of Peepers, which I didn't see until after my visit). I had a little trouble finding the place initially, since route 2 is full of strip malls. It's located in the same strip mall as Bridals by Elena, Ace Hardware, and Kristen's Bakery and across from Kohl's and Old Navy. The practice is very busy, especially on Saturdays, so I would recommend making an appointment beforehand. I only had to wait about 5 minutes before I was called back (and Ratatouille was playing in their waiting room--double points for that!) That being said, we never felt rushed or pressured to pick glasses or make a purchase. The exam was quick but thorough. All the people who work there were very friendly and willing to answer questions. Dr. Johnson went over all results of his exam and answered all my questions. He also was very honest about how my eyes really hadn't changed so I didn't need new glasses unless I wanted them, which was very refreshing after other experiences where doctors recommended I get new glasses every time I visited, even if my prescription hadn't changed. Peepers offers a wide range of frames, ranging from generic to Fendi and Oakley. All frames are marked with a code that indicate the price (but I would ask someone what the code is; my friend told me it was 1:10, i.e. a frame with a 16 on it was $160, but I would double check) which really helped me find frames without assistance. I'm the type of person that hates making decisions, so it was really helpful to be able to try on as many frames as I wanted, taking price into consideration, without someone standing at the counter and rolling her eyes while I try on the same pair for the 10th time. (Oh, yes, that's happened before somewhere else.) Peepers called when the glasses were ready (one week after my visit) and quickly retrieved them when I came in to pick up my new glasses. I highly recommend Peepers of Severna Park. I will be back next year; it was totally worth my 40 minute drive! read more
