We've been big fans of Crooked Crab for years, always taking family and friends from out of town to…read morevisit for the beer, the pizza, and vibes (which is really saying something coming from a native New Yorker!). So, it was a no-brainer to choose them as the venue for our wedding's welcome party. The pricing was very reasonable for such a large space and served as the bar tab for all our guests. We opted for in-house catering, and the pizza and wings were delicious as always. The staff was super accommodating and wonderful, making the food service, bar, and audio/visual a smooth experience. Our guests had an absolute blast and it was a great way to introduce so many of the people in our lives to one of our favorite Maryland institutions. Thank you Crooked Crab!

Welcoming and friendly even when I tried to order at the bar instead going to the place at the end to order as the sign clearly states. Sorry I was born in Wisconsin. The wood fired Meat Lovers Pizza was tasty and enough for two. We had a pretzel order and the mustard was spot on. Our beer choice was Stringray Mysterio a very good stout. Also myself the navigator needed and wanted a Mead. So Pina Colada Crush was a perfect choice. We both loved the decor and vibes. The pizza oven which was a crab design was cute but I thanked the men preparing the outstanding pizza. All the staff were fantastic.

Halloween Happening Fundraising Event…read more Definitely for those under the age of 8 or so 10 if you restrict TV/movies etc from your kids and they haven't been predisposed to certain things. Not bad for $15 per person They don't offer any discounts not even military.. You walk up the paved walkway purchase your ticket ($15pp), I think under 6 is free but don't quote me on that. And you wait in line. We waited about 45mins before our group of roughly 20 went into the Haunted Barn walked down a lil hill to the mini maze, and we all loaded up in the trailer for the hayride. Please dress for the occasion, it was 43 degrees out and they don't have space heaters outdoors or fire pits etc to keep you toasty wok you wait. Although a fire pit and selling s'mores kit would've been another selling point. They did have apple cider, canned sodas chips candy and popcorn for sale. I'd suggest pack your own snacks and drinks. Oh and they had glow sticks for the kids. Organization could've been a bit better, lighting to the restroom would've been nice and more scary props. And that god awful smoky smell from the fog machine or whatever was horrendous like old fireworks just bad.

There was a wedding AND a bridal shower occuring at the same time. There is upstairs to the restaurant and the wedding was happening up there. There is also an outdoor porch area where the bridal shower was occuring. Most of the seating inside was high top seating. All the wines are made in house and there was a large selection! Our server (who may also be the manager/owner?) was very kind and explained some of the wines for us. We got 2 of their flights and they were all excellent. The Library Collection has some unique drinks. They do sell most of their bottles to go (pic of pricing in this review!). They also make food and they all smelled great. I would love to go back and try more wines and some of their food!

We got a Chef's Whim board which was fun and filling. We also got the Winemakers and Library flights. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wines. I'm not giving them 4 stars for a few reasons. I wish I could build my own flight because each flight choice had wines I didn't like. I also wish there were more menu items. And, the bench seating cushions were worn through almost to the stuffing which was really surprising that they would let them get that bad at a restaurant like this. That said, we had a great meal with a great server. I don't think we'll be back though.

We reserved a private space with a private tasting, which made the day feel extra special and perfect for a large group. For many of our guests, it was their first time visiting this location, and everyone had such a great time. One of the co-founders, Greg, personally led our tasting and was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, welcoming, and checked on us throughout the afternoon to make sure everything was going smoothly. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. I also appreciated that some friends who don't drink were still able to enjoy themselves thanks to the non-alcoholic options. The property itself is beautiful with scenic views, plenty of space to relax, and such a peaceful atmosphere. We had amazing weather the day we visited, which made it even more memorable. If you are looking for a great place for a birthday, celebration, group outing, or just a relaxing day with friends, I highly recommend! We will definitely be back.

There was PLENTY of seating still - lots of large and small tables scattered throughout the property. They also have seating inside the winery at a small bar. The wine itself was really nice; we had several bottles of the rose at the table. It was light, crisp, and easy to sip in the nice weather. I was impressed that they also had 2 non alcoholic wines; the non drinkers in our group were happy to have some options made just for them (which were delicious also). There is a third party pizza business that had food offerings; we had many different types of their pizza which were all good. Very smart to have a food option for folks to enjoy while we sip our wine. Overall, the property is wonderfully maintained and the wines meet all expectations. I'd recommend giving this spot a try if you're looking for a nice winery north of the beltway!

The vibes are peaceful, scenic, and honestly the perfect backdrop for a festival day out. They host several festivals throughout the year, and I had the pleasure of attending the Caribbean festival yesterday. Even with the rain and cooler weather, it was STILL a great time. The energy never dropped. Everything was very well organized from parking, to the wine samples, vendors, dance floor, and stage setup. You could tell a lot of planning went into making the experience smooth and enjoyable for guests. The music, food, and overall atmosphere made it easy to forget about the weather completely. This was my second time here, and it definitely will not be my last. I'll 100% be returning.

Why haven't I written a review until now is a mystery but, oh well.. Lol This past Weekend, they did something totally different. They had a tribute to 50 years of "go-go" instead of the aforementioned reggae fest. With that said, Rare Essence performed Saturday and the Junk Yard Band did their thing Sunday. Me and my crew grew up on Essence so Saturday we converged. The forecast for severe afternoon t-storms almost made me stay home, but I've been given a lot of flack from my homies for bailing because of weather so I was determined to push through :) I'm glad that I did. It rained STRONG for about an hour in the middle of the festival, but after that, the headliner performed and cranked like it was 1990! Talk about nostalgia.. Omg!! We had a ball! Full disclosure, it was about half the normal size crowd, so I'm not sure Linganore will take that type of money loss in the future, but thanks for the memories.. I definitely needed that!!!
