My…read moredaughter arrived and was asked to try on to alter length and Gina body shamed my 18 year old by telling her she was a big girl and it wasn't the right dress for her. Told her repeatedly she was too fat for the dress and had my daughter in tears. I called Gina who lied about body shaming my daughter but did tell me she didn't think it was the right dress for her body. My daughter returned an hour later and we video recorded the interaction with proof that she was body shaming my daughter for two and a half minutes before returning the dress and payment so we could take elsewhere. No women should ever body shame another women. I will never support Gina again.

My dream dress was long sleeve lace, yet I purchased a strapless plunging neckline dress with floral appliqué. I tried it on every day for a week hating the dress more with each try on...then I called Custom Alterations for a hem and take in, she answered and swiftly got me on the schedule. When I arrived at my appt I basically let her know I despised the dress and wanted to give it a complete makeover. I thought she was going to tell me I was crazy especially coming to her LESS THAN 8 WEEKS BEFORE MY WEDDING...but she was confident and totally up for whatever I wanted to do! I told her my long list of things I wanted to change and shared many Pinterest photos with her, and she emailed me an invoice later listing all the changes I wanted with pricing. She was transparent about pricing, timeline, and the dress's limitations...really great communication!! She created sleeves including buttons, loops, and straps for attachment. Removed, recreated, re attached and hemmed my skirt. And she recreated the bodice and added lace. I came to her really upset with the dress I purchased and left a few short weeks later with the dress I envisioned myself in. It looked absolutely amazing and nothing like the original dress at all. I love when someone has a talent they are passionate about and do that thing really well. And that is Peggy and her team at Custom Alterations. I didn't have my husband's actual measurements, and the shirts I brought to compare were NOT all the same sizes! Dakota was optimistic and up for the challenge! (His supervisor didn't look so comfortable with this idea lol) Dakota spent a good couple of hours meticulously measuring and filling out a form, helped me decide on an obscure color my husband wanted, along with cuffs, collars, monogram, blahblah lol - he was soo patient!
