A&C Tailoring was amazing to work with. I am not local and was only going to be in town for a few…read morehours. They got my jeans hemmed, with the original hem, while I waited; it took maybe 15 minutes! And the hem job looks nice and clean. Great service and will definitely be using them in the future!

I was very specific from the beginning that I needed the wiring removed from the cups of the dress. I also requested the slit be moved up and the bottom hem shortened. When I arrived to pick up the dress, only the hem had been done properly. I was then told the remaining fixes would "take 10 minutes." Thirty minutes later, they had only adjusted the slit and the wiring was STILL in the dress. At that point, I had already repeated the same request multiple times. When I calmly explained AGAIN that the wire needed to be removed, the woman working began talking over me and arguing with me instead of listening. I am now sitting here waiting even longer for alterations that should have been completed correctly the first time after they had my dress for two full weeks. For the amount of money charged, especially with a rush fee, the communication, attention to detail, and customer service have been incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend this business if you need reliable tailoring or time-sensitive work.

The only negative is that I had to call both times to see when they would be done. Would be better if when you turned it in they gave you a date and it was done then. Small shop so understand the need for flexibility. Tons of dresses and formal wear on the racks - they obviously do great work with all items.

I asked to have it done by next wednesday but the seamstress said she could do Monday. This was all great and I left the dress and I left happy. However, I then realized I hadn't gotten any documentation that I had left my dress there. I stopped back by and told the seamstress I had mistakenly left without an invoice or a receipt. She told me thats why I gave you a business card. I've never been to a business that doesn't at least give ticket of some sort or an Invoice so when I came back to get the dress I'd have something to show them. What if it was misplaced how would I have any proof they had the dress at all? It is a very expensive dress so I told her I didn't feel comfortable just leaving my dress without some sort of documentation and I asked if she could write something up. She told me no, grabbed the dress and took the pins off of it and shoved it into my hands. No dress bag, not even a hanger and told me to just take the dress. She then said that no seamstress does this. I was so shaken up I just said thank you and left. I have never experienced this kind of customer service. She was extremely rude when I kindly asked if they could write up an invoice so I could show it to someone in case she wasn't there. She snapped at me grabbed the dress and pushed it into my hands. I don't think it's too much to ask a business to give you an invoice or documentation showing they have your item. Anyone could pick it up. I've never had a business not do so. And for me to ask for this and then have her be so rude about it, that's what bothered me the most. I wasn't rude, I just asked a question. As far as the timeline, I sent out a message through yelp and had a message from several businesses including this one saying they had no problem with the timeline. I chose this one and was happy and openly thankful to her for helping out. I did not ask her to have it done by Monday I said I needed it by next Thursday. Thankfully I went to another place and when I mentioned to them that this place refused to give me a ticket or invoice, they told me they've never heard of that. They were very kind and not only gave me a paper invoice but also texted me the invoice as well.
