From the moment I entered this shop, I knew this would be a totally professional experience! I had checked Yelp for the best professional service I could find before "trusting" anyone to tailor a new suit for an important interview. I needed the sleeves on the jacket shortened and the trouser length adjusted as well. I tried them on and Amin checked the length of both, placing one safety pin on one sleeve and one safety pin in the back hem of one pant leg. This was on Friday. My clothes were to be ready on Tuesday (they're closed on Mondays). I then left to purchase a pair of professional shoes to wear to this upcoming interview. When I got home I realized the heels on the shoes I used to try the pants on at the tailor were one inch higher than the shoes I purchased for the interview. Upon realizing this, I called Amin immediately and requested the pants be shortened one inch. He advised the pants had already been altered, but I should come in on Tuesday (as previously scheduled) and he would assess with the new shoes. He knew my interview was on Thursday, but said he would alter them on the spot while I waitedd if they needed changing. I asked if there would be an additional charge, and he said "no". When I arrived the next Tuesday and tried on the clothes with the new shoes, I found he had already shortened the pants to perfection! Moda Italia gives a 10% discount for seniors and another 10% discount for paying in cash. I do not trust easily and 95% of businesses today deserve this "no trust" reputation. HOWEVER, Moda Italia Tuxedo and Tailoring is not only professional but efficient and reasonably priced for the extraordinary work they provide. I guarantee and wholeheartedly endorse this company if you are anywhere near the Sparks region of Nevada. AND, they are easily accessible to major freeways (not inside a mall)! There is a place for you to try on your outfits that you want tailored and they can pin it in the moment. Since my dress was one layer, and I needed it by a certain day, it was $40. Originally, it was going to be $90 because they thought it was more than one layer. Overall, it was a good experience. I was recommended to this company from Spanish Springs Facebook page and I was very disappointed. I went in with two men's polo shirts XL and asked if they can make them a large. The man asked me what size is large? I replied whatever a U.S. Large is. He had no idea. I had let him know I could Google it for him and so I did and got him the size. As a customer, I am going to the expert and they definitely were not an expert nor had great customer service skills. This was the biggest red flag for me. He asked me when I needed it by and I said two weeks from today, it's a Father's Day gift. Then he said what day is Father's Day? A tailor should know what a size large is compared to a XL and if you own a business you should probably know the holidays we have. I am extremely happy, they saved the day! It is very difficult for me to find clothing that fits. I lift and so I have large shoulders and chest but if I buy suits that fit my shoulders and chest, they are WAY too big in the waist. I ordered a suit online and I loved it but it looked like I was wearing a tent. These folks were able to take it in in all the right places and make it something I love and feel great in. Luckily for me Moda Italia is located in my hometown. Moda Italia has been altering mine and my husband's clothing for over 5 years. Due to my shopping addiction I pay them a visit about every 2 months. Below are some of the services Moda Italia has provided for me: - Tapered several of my old jeans to transform them into skinny jeans - Altered my husband's tuxedo jacket for our wedding - Reduced a few of my dresses and my husband's shirts by a full dress size - Shortened the length of my skirts/dresses - Sewed revealing necklines into more work appropriate necklines - Changed existing button placement for better fit or to make clothing less revealing The owner, who also does the alterations, told me he could make some of my round neck dresses into V-neck dresses if he had enough fabric to do so. I can't wait to try that service out! I read a previous Yelp review about the language barrier. Yes the owner has an accent, but it has never hindered our communication and my clothes have always looked the way I wanted them to look upon return. Moda Italia is a 45 minute round-trip drive from where I live. There are several alterations establishments that are closer to my neighborhood. Took in a bridesmaid dress and put it on so he can measure everything out. Within the first 5 minutes something already concerned me and I should've went with my gut. He mentioned the sleeves had to be fixed and bottom of dress had to be hemmed. Then he says, "Okay, go ahead and change out of it. That should be all." I said, "Don't you think it should be taken in too?" He goes, "Oh you want it taken in?" I'm literally swimming in the dress. It's a few inches too big. We get that measured and I change out. Told me it'll be ready in 3 weeks. Came in on a Saturday and picked up and paid for the dress. He didn't have me try it on. Once I got home, I put it on and you can clearly tell that the sides were not taken in (it was huge still!) and the hemming was done so poorly. The front was longer than the back! Stressed out and crying, I called and left a voicemail (they were already closed). Called again on Monday and left a voicemail. It's been a week and no call back! I was out $120 and the bottom of my dress is basically ruined. Luckily, I went to Saji at SNA Alterations. She took the sides in for $35 and did it in 2 days! Amazing! She was appalled that he didn't think it needed to be taken in since she removed about 4 inches. I would not recommend this place. read more

They have fixed numerous pairs of my jeans. They often have to patch them but they do an excellent job of patching them and sewing the material...and so far all of my repaired jeans have held really well! Worst tailoring experience of my life. I'm short, so I have had to get all of my clothes tailored my entire life. I took in 3 pair of pants, they measured one and said they would cut the rest the same, one of which needed tapered. When I got the pants back, all three were different lengths and the one that needed tapered was not tapered the length of the pant, looked like 60s flares. The older gentlemen there argued with me non stop telling me this is what I wanted, when he wasn't even the guy who measured me. He said he would try to fix, and if he could not he would reimburse. Came back today, tried the pants on and they were still too short. The older gentlemen kept arguing with me, and telling me they look fine rather than accepting he messed up and was not willing to make it right. Now I'm out $140s for the jeans plus the $60 it cost to have the pants ruined. If you want your pants ruined, and want to be argued with and receive terrible customer server. I was looking for something near by to get a few things tailored and found this genuine Italian shop. I brought in Jeans, shorts, two shirts and a basketball jersey. I asked if they could do a taper fit for all my items, but then they suggested to go with more of a slim fit. I agree and they said then would have them ready in a week. Came back the following Friday, I tried on my items in their fitting rooms and everything fit perfectly.
