So, this is a large store that is known nationally with their social media presence and subscription box. They have a good selection and a pretty great clearance area. If you expect to shop for your fabric like you are in a Walmart or Michaels then it is fine. They have products you can buy and the prices are just a smidge over MSRP. Sadly, that is not why many of us go to quilt shops. Quilting and art is foundationally built on community. This shop is cold, no one talks to you, or offers to help. I am the daughter of a quilt shop owner. I help out when I can and we greet every customer and offer to help with color matching or a second opinion if the customer would like. There was none of that. In fact, I was matching colors to a picture for a project in view of the people standing at the cutting table with not a word. I also went to ask if they had more greens because they were pulling online orders and they snapped at me. When I showed her I could see they had some she went oh I didn't know they were pulling orders. So, it is cold and not helpful. I will also say I overheard someone with I am assuming a new employee as she was showing her where things are in the store. Then she said yeah I don't work here, I am just here a lot. I was baffled why she was being nicer than the 3 people standing at the cutting table. Overall I almost walked out, but I did find some good deals. I don't know, I have heard that LQS can be unfriendly and ignore particularly younger sewists and I was confused. I now know what that is like. And I feel sad that this store has their platform to bring in new sewists and then disappoint and discourage them from being involved in the community. We traveled from California to the most disappointing Sewbestie Quilt Show. The hi-lite of our trip was going to Sew Yeah Quilting shop. Three of the four of us purchased sewing machines and all of us purchased fabric. We were greeted as we came in and asked if there was anything they could help us with. No smiley greeting, No one asking to help, No one to show you around. The people at the cutting table twice when i was in this shop have zero personality and were not eager to engage, nor help, and were quite confused when we came up with over 50 bolts to cut from the clearance room. The first time I ever stepped into a quilt shop left me very... disappointed and feeling lonely. Could you even imagine? I attempted a second try. My heart and my husband's heart left to the car feeling deflated and sad. How can you be left feeling sad in such a neat kind of store.... I'll tell you how: No greeting at the door, no smiling person to say hey or offer to show you around, no comments about the beautiful fabric we put on the cart and brought to the cutting table, no one telling us how we can participate in things going on or classes, or pancake breakfast. We may as well have been mutes. There was ZERO SERVICE and even less personality. I came in here looking for something new and some eduction about fabric brands and styles and organization. They have no idea who they have let down. I LEFT HERE SAD, TWICE. I did not even know this place was related to a sewing channel on YT, I am a novice quilter Could u just imagine if I travelled here from 1000 miles instead of 5 miles to come here? Yikes read more

I have ordered online several times from Sew Yeah (thanks to their addictive YouTube livestreams!) and have never been disappointed. Their prices on everything from notions to fabric are incredibly fair, and their shipping is fast and affordable. They offer a unique system for ordering when watching their livestreams; they present an item on-screen with a corresponding order number. You then have to be lightning quick and type in the number if you want that item, because they often have just a few. Then, wait for your name to be called out to know you were one of the lucky ones to be able to get that item. After the show, they email you an invoice for all the items you purchased. It's sorta old school but also really fun and highly effective. If you plan to purchase via their YouTube livestreams, be sure to follow the instructions to register your account BEFORE you start. This makes it less of a hassle to settle up at the end. I enjoy supporting this fun, family-owned business and also hope to visit their lovely store next time I'm in Las Vegas! read more

I stood 45 minutes in line while there were employees walking around the store moving fabric. I brought my sewing machine in for a basic repair and this lady acted as though they were going to be repairing a Maserati. My sewing machine is a very simple manual machine not needing Maserati Repair. And at $100 an hour and all the unknown it was a total waste of my time for standing in line for 45 minutes and to top it all off there's seven weeks behind in repairing. It's best if they would actually have a real person there who understand a sewing machine repair then they have to explain to some lady who has no mechanical knowledge. I don't think I would even buy fabric there if I had to wait 45 minutes in line to check out they're so slow there and they really don't have an inkling of what Customerservice is all about. Visited the store today and it's big and beautiful and clean. That's the good; however, the bad was pretty bad. One person working at the front. No help on the floor. I went to the sewing machine area and the brand of machine I was looking for wasn't there. I then went to the one employee and asked him about why there aren't any Janome machines and he said the rep had all of them at a trade show. I then asked him for prices and he said he doesn't know as the machine department is that girl only and he told me to come back tomorrow. I'm visiting from Hawaii and don't have the luxury of coming again. It's too bad and I won't get my machine from them as online they seem super helpful but I get the sense they just want to make a quick sale and the customer is on their own. read more

I guess I will give Sew Yeah a one, but it should more likely be a negative one. The customer service is HORRIBLE. I noticed customers of a particular ethnicity are ignored. My sister and I are starting an alteration/embroidery business and we stopped in to look at the machines Sew Yeah offered. We were in the store looking at the machines for over 15 minutes, the representatives made eye contact, but not once asked if we needed any help. We purchased seven machines from a competitor, spending around $30,000. We shopped at this store when my Niece purchased her embroidery machine, and we didn't have an issue, probably because Miss Sarah, the sales person was also of a particular ethnicity. I will never shop at this store again. Shame on you Sew Yeah, all of your representatives need professional development on customer service. My money spends as well as your money! Brought my machine in for repair last July. When I went to use that machine, the tension was off. Took it back to store and it hasn't been repaired YET!!!!!!!! Every time I call, their excuse is 'we only have 1 technician' or 'the technician is in training'. Terrible customer service! read more

I had participated in a open sewing Schedule and left my machine and sewing projects over night , signed a form so I guess they are not responsible if something happens, well, after I left my stuff for the night the next day I came in and my wagon with my stuff in it had been move and I had this sick feeling someone went through my stuff, later I went through my things , I had 17 small boxy pouches prepped and almost completed, they were made of novelty vinyls and I had specialty zippers installed, they were all taken. I can't stand thieves, and especially there, with them claiming to be religious. read more

They even had a retreat going on, with lots of people needing fabric cut, but I was still in and out in a good amount of time. I came into the store with my mom who needed help matching colors for a quilt she was working on. Katrina was so wonderful and patient with us while we compared colors and fabrics. I have been in here a few times without a problem, however after today I will definitely NOT be back. Usually there are rolling carts available for customers as the fabric is mostly by the bolt. Today they were not by the door, so I asked one of the ladies behind the counter if she knew where there might be an available cart. She told me that they're probably somewhere in the back of the store and waived me off. OK, so I go to the back of the store and search just about every inch of the store looking for a cart. When I did not find a cart, I asked again if someone might be able to help me find one, and she acted like it was the biggest inconvenience ever. She rolled her eyes, went in the back to find one and when she brought it out, she just pushed it toward me and went back to gossiping (blonde lady working the counter on 2/13). Just rude. I tend to buy a lot of fabric because I don't live locally and certain fabrics are hard to find where I live. I bring a large suitcase with me to fill. I drove about 10 miles out of my way from my hotel just to come here. But I decided after this experience, that I just don't feel like shopping here. Today or ever again. It's disappointing, because I feel that quilt shops are supposed to be inviting and helpful. That's just NOT the case here. I come here for work twice a month, but I will make the drive and take my chances at the dreaded Quiltique across town that has shit reviews. Or pay the shipping and wait for fabric from Etsy. I will not spend hundreds of dollars of hard earned money at a shop when common courtesy isn't so common. Owned by men and run by rude women. No thank you. Terrible experience. read more

Do not take your Bernina machine for repair to this store. I dropped my B780 on Jan. 27th for repair and didn't get it back until June 25th. Some of the delay resulted from the fact that they had to order a new part and when attempting to install it they indicated another part had to be ordered. Also the technician was not always available. $200+ later, when I tried to use it, it worked worse than when I took it in. I then took it to Quiltique and got it repaired in 2 days. The service technician replaced 4 parts (that they had in stock) and stated Sew Yeah had installed the other parts incorrectly and had broken again. 2 of the parts that Quiltique replaced were still under warranty; something that Sew Yeah never said. Sew Yeah has wonderful material but they cannot service Bernina machines. read more

Great experience looking for a beginner machine for my teenaged daughter. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, especially Sara. She was the machine specialist that helped us to make our choice. She set up the different machines and let us test them out. We got a great deal on our machine, and she even threw in some extras. The purchase comes with a 2-3 hour Master Class so that my daughter can learn all of the features of her new machine. I am so glad we made our way to this shop. Two gentlemen even gave my toddler a cute little stuffed animal to play with and went out of their way to let us know we (including the toddler) we're welcome and they were happy to have her visit. This place is amazing! I have to start with Paula. She is sooo unbelievably kind and helpful. I was having some issues with a petty new embroidery machine that I bought originally from Joann's. I was sent to Sew Yeah because it just wasn't running properly and just having manufacturing issues. I was literally having a mental breakdown because I was in the middle of a huge project. Thankfully Paula was patient and helped me along the way. She set me up with Sarah and Brody who helped me switch out my machine for a brand new one!
