She also sells little custom pouches that you use as a travel or cosmetic bag. The shop can be difficult to find if you're not familiar with the area as it is above another business. Great experience with Linda! I had a bridesmaid dress that needed a neckline and hem altered. Based on reviews I called Linda and spoke with her right away. She fit me in her schedule in a very timely manner for both fittings and accommodated my work schedule with ease. At first I was shocked it was $115 for alterations, however, when I searched around, I found the average price is between $75-150- and Linda is right in the middle which I think is very competitive. The reason I will be a return customer overall is the quality of work. She spent so much time getting over a dozen measurements on the hem and explained how many just take a few and cut around but each of us based on our posture may need different lengths around. The alterations were literally flawless and the dress just flows beautifully the perfect length above the floor. Can't wait to wear my dress for the big day! read more

When I went for gown fitting, I was told the alteration would be 25 cents/inch for lining; 50 cents/inch. I asked for an estimate and she said it is measured after it's cut but it "it won't be much". Since my dress wasn't very full, I was thinking under $50. I left it and it was finished ahead of time. (Reason for 2 star). The charge was $75 which seemed unreasonable to me. When I tried it on, it was dragging on the floor. We had not discussed the length at my first fitting and we should have. Owner was apologetic and offered to redo my gown at no additional charge but I opted to take it elsewhere. Disappointed in the price as well as the end result. read more

I'll say I've never had any alterations done here, but I was less than impressed when I tried to call and book a time for a fitting today. I left a message and suggested a day and time range that I'd be available. Received a reply voicemail saying that she couldn't accommodate that day or time, she doesn't do men's suit jackets, and that I should get my work done at another alteration shop in town. I called back and asked about alternate dates/times and was told none of them were available either. No suggestions for alternative times was provided. I hung up with the feeling my business was not wanted and I was an inconvenience. I was looking forward to writing a good review until I received my bridesmaid dress. The first time I went in to have my dress taken in and hemmed we discussed a price. At that time I did not have my shoes and was to return when I had the shoes I was going to wear. When I went in the second time I put the dress on and realized it was still too big. I asked Linda about this and she said if we took it in any more that it would be too tight on me and that once she hemmed the dress maybe it would look better on me. Also at that time we never discussed any other charges than the initial one we discussed. My husband went to pick up the dress and it was nearly double the price she originally told me. When I called Linda to discuss this she stated she usually tells people and wasn't sure how I didn't get this information. Needless to say I was upset and tried to console with myself with thinking that maybe my dress would look good and be maybe remotely worth what I paid. I got home that evening and tried on my dress. It had been nicely pressed as she promised and it was taken in and hemmed. Except there were yellow markings left on the dress where she marked it to cut/sew and it was still too big. Now one day before we have to leave for the wedding I am having to take my dress to ANOTHER seamstress and pay someone again to have my dress fixed. My wedding dress was a designer gown by Lazarro with a scalloped hem and covered in beading. I had my wedding dress hemmed, bustled, a corset put in, and had the dress taken in for less than what I paid Linda. The bridesmaid dress I brought Linda was nothing compared to my wedding dress so it is completely unbelievable that it would cost so much. I gave Linda two stars because she is very nice and I'm sure she has done other work that was better than what she did with mine. read more

Not very happy! Linda has a cute shop in Summerville and seems to be a very nice lady. She was great with timing as she had my bridesmaid dress done in about a week. I was very disappointed, however, in her pricing. My dress was too long and the straps were a little loose. She charged me just as much as my dress cost me in the first place and because of this I am very disappointed. I am no sewing expert but it doesn't seem that a reduction in length and tacking of shoulder straps should have cost me what I paid! My sister's wedding dress didn't even cost as much to alter!
