Very disappointed. They repaired my beloved singer machine. First of all, they quoted one price and when I picked up the machine it was $55 more. When I questioned it no one could give me an answer. They are a hard sell company. Beware! Second, the machine has never worked properly since they "repaired" and the bobbin winder is now completely broken. Should have purchased a new Singer. After over a week of receiving no tracking information for my online order, I contacted the company to inquire about it. I was very impressed to receive a phone call from a gentleman who said UPS had "lost" my order and they would send a replacement. He assured me I would receive tracking information promptly. After several days of nothing, I emailed AGAIN and can see a shipping label was generated this morning. So, there is hope! Mine was a very small order. They are no longer on Ottley Road. Their new location is 955 North Point Drive near the North Point Mall in Alpharetta. The new location is amazing. Lots more room. Lots more merchandise. The service department is amazing. Mel and his staff always make us feel comfortable and their professionalism is too notch. My wife and I worked in textile mills for years and have two industrial machines they they keep running in top form. If you have moved on above the beginning hobby stage and need some real sewing support this is the place to come. Experienced quilters and embroiderers will all find unique and hard to find supplies and equipment here. Of course they are happy to help a beginner, but when you need some serious and experienced advice this is where you can find it. Help you just can't find at the typical hobby or fabric store. Great place. Got helped as soon as I walked in for a few different items. A large selection of machines. Great value an my purchase. Please take note that they close at 1pm on the weekends. I recently purchased a six-needle embroidery machine from the Sewing Machine Store at a Quilt expo and met Richard. What a gentleman and knowledgeable person. He was very helpful. But then I decided to go from Meridian MS to Alpharetta, GA to see the store and see what else they had to offer. I feel in love with the staff. They were all very helpful but i had the pleasure of spending more time with Lili. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and customer service like i had never experience before. Since then, i always call her for all my sewing and embroidery needs and the service is outstanding. i also had questions and Mr. John was able to answer all my questions about my machine. i will never buy my items form any other place. Now i have their phone and Lili on speed dial. lol read more

Hidden gem with a lot of sewing materials! They have regular machines, industrial-like sewing machines, full on industrial grade seeing machines. Also hot press for t shirts, vinyl presses... everything! Only sad part is, they offer a lot of classes but not the ones I'm looking for. I'm looking to make something from start to finish with a regular weekly classes that meet 4-8 times total. When I talked to the employee about that, it didn't sound like they were very interested in that. read more

This location is no longer on Ottley Dr. They have moved to Alpharetta. Anyway-- .... So I watched a MILLION videos on the Brother PQ1500SL and I finally decided to push the button to purchase the machine. I decided I wanted to find an authorized Brother dealer so that I could take it for a test drive-- just to be sure! While researching I noticed that a Joann's near me had it in stock however the description didn't specify what was in the box. When I asked a nice lady in Joann if the could confirm the box contents she recommended I go next door to Sewingmachine.com because they had a larger selection and could help. I get inside and notice a sales person helping a couple. I see a few people inside but couldn't really distinguish who was working and who was shopping and no one greeted me or asked if I needed help. After about 10-15 minutes of wandering alone, I noticed that the sales person I saw when I first came in was no longer helping anyone so I approached her ask her to help, by this time another lady was coming towards us, so she asked the other lady about the machine but never said a word to me. She asked another worker a question and walked away. the 2nd lady said yes and that she would confirm. It turned out that they didn't have it in stock, they only had the display. I asked if I could purchase it at a discount because, after all, it's now a used machine. She asked the manager and he said I could take that one at full price or let them order one and ship it directly to me. He went on to to me that the machine was a great choice for the price and mentioned they close shortly. I really wanted it that day so I said I would take it, but I wanted to be sure that all the parts and pieces were there. He then reminded the sales lady again that they close in less than an hour. So she says "oh so you want me to ring her up first before checking the contents in what you're saying..." So she walks me to the register. I asked the ladies there if the unopened box next door would have the same contents as their opened box. She said she wasn't sure; in the meantime the sales lady who was helping comes back and over hears us talking and says "are you going to get it or not". To be fair she didn't say it rudely per se, but for me anytime the "or not..." is added I'm always looking like. Ultimately I decided to take my chances with the Joann machine. RECOMMENDATION: If you are looking for great customer service and assistance-- SKIP THIS PLACE! However, they have a great variety of sewing and embroidery machines so if you are just looking for product-- go for it! What a great place. Found the longarm setup that was exactly what I was looking for at a fair price. They showed me all about the machine and setup and let me test it out in their location to confirm that it was exactly what I wanted. Included in the price of the machine is delivery and expert installation from Sheila and her husband who made sure that everything was set up perfectly, all cords, etc. were neatly corralled and tied off, the frame was properly balanced and that the machine was completely ready to go. She also made sure that I understood the basic operation of the machine and all of the parts, and that I had everything that I needed to get started. As for the store itself, it's a hidden gem. I think that they have at least one of everything you could possibly need with respect to sewing machines, thread, stabilizer, etc. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they offer classes in their own classroom space. I even got a sneak peek at the back room that houses every kind of sewing machine you can imagine, from starter domestic machines to heavy duty industrial machines, to an entire wall of vintage singers --- you know --- the ones everyone's grandmother used to use. It's a delightful place to go explore to find your next machine, to get machines repaired, or just to explore. It's in a bit of a warehouse district, and looks kind of small-ish from the outside, but it's an absolute treasure trove of fun things for your sewing hobby or business. read more

They have a lot of great products, but they are all about sales. We wanted an embroidery machine. We told them we knew nothing and i think they just saw dollar signs. We told them hats would be our biggest business. After spending $10k on a matching and another $1k for the hat hoop they suggested, i was having issues embroidering structured hats. Now they suggest another product for $700 more (which I bought for $350 somewhere else). Good store, but you need to know your stuff & negotiate pricing! read more

I'm shocked there are no reviews for this place on Yelp. I found great reviews on Google so I brought my machine in and couldn't be happier. 99 bucks, 1 DAY!, machine works like a champ. I've had my machine for over 20 years- my mom surprised me with it from a garage sale even though we had no money so I am extremely attached to it. I encountered an issue that I couldn't fix on my own so I brought it here and the next day, she was all fixed. Much appreciated! read more
