And then I heard the other barista say something along the lines of, "oh Aida, how about 'Aida' rather not be here", pretty rude if you ask me. And then I ordered the spicy nook sandwich. And when another server called my named to grab it she didn't even knowledge me when I tried to thank her and instead she talked to her coworker while I was right in front of her. The sandwich was really good, so was my chai tea. I really like the pumpkin and salt and maple syrups too. I did like all the options for seating although it was pretty packed. I'd say if you have a big party get there early. By 7pm the whole place was filled. There was a huge majong club that came in and took the whole back area, it was so crammed there were lines for the bathroom. Over all I had a good time. I really like the music too just know it gets very busy in there. The employees I would say were hit or miss. The ones that were great though I really liked. Just seem like the ones who didn't really give attention to customers or were kind of rude seemed like they didn't wanna be there.

Sey Coffee is a must-visit spot for coffee lovers. The coffee is superb, and it's evident that the baristas are highly skilled and passionate about their craft. However, I have mixed feelings about the space itself. While it is cozy and inviting, there is no outdoor patio, and they have very strict rules about laptop use. You can only work at their designated area for laptops, which is understandable due to their small space. However, this can be unfortunate for those who prefer to work while sipping their coffee. Overall, Sey Coffee is a place for socializing rather than working. The service at Sey Coffee is adequate. The staff is friendly and likable, but they seldom go above and beyond. For example, I once ordered a pour-over, and the barista misheard and thought I had ordered an espresso with the same name. I didn't realize this until she was finished making the espresso. When I explained to her that I had ordered a pour-over, she was very curt with me, even though there was no line. While this was a disappointing experience, it did not overshadow the overall quality of the coffee. Despite its flaws, Sey Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops. The coffee is top-notch, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot to catch up with friends or just relax with a good book. If you're looking for a place to socialize over a cup of coffee, then Sey Coffee is definitely worth a visit. read more

This coffee shop gets it all right. I am still very pleased with my visit and it's been two days since and I can't stop recommending this shop to anyone visiting New York. The staff is very personable and a huge joy to chat with! I learned about Sey when I visited Colony Club in DC and was not able to try their coffee (visited at a late hour) but noted the name and was able to cup some Sey at my current workplace a few weeks later! During the visit, I knew I wanted to purchase a bag of coffee and the staff at the register was amazingly helpful and I first bought what they had featured on their single cup (which was outstanding) and that was the Ethiopian Raro. I finished that cup very surprised at a really well balanced coffee and was intrigued to take another bag of something else back home and was really excited to be offered two options to try! It's great to hear them describe how they felt about each of the two coffees I tried and I was able to talk about how I felt as well and chose #2! It was great to chat with you guys and I'm really trying to formulate the words to put into this review but you guys exceed far beyond anything I could ever explain. I can't wait to visit Brooklyn again and pop in to check out what is new! read more

INCREDIBLE. As a devotee of light-roast coffee, this is my definitive go-to whenever I'm in NYC. Their execution is flawless, always achieving excellent flavor clarity. It's a treat when they feature unique lots, like a recent offering from Ecuador, showcasing a terroir you don't find everywhere else. The space itself is intentionally designed: an open, minimalist cafe filled with plants, creating a calm atmosphere that contrasts with its Brooklyn surroundings. Their roaster equipment is visible in the background, which adds to the ambiance. The Cortado here is a study in balance. The microfoam is integrated perfectly, complementing the delicate, bright notes of the espresso without overpowering them. Really enjoyed my visit to SEY Coffee. The café has a simple, modern design with lots of plants and natural light, and you can even see their coffee roasting equipment inside. It feels like a place that's truly focused on coffee. We ordered an Americano and a latte, and both were excellent. The Americano was clean and flavorful, while the latte was smooth with nicely textured milk. I also appreciated that each drink came with a small glass of sparkling water. Unfortunately, we arrived a little late and only managed to get the last cinnamon bun, but it was fresh, soft, and paired perfectly with the coffee. One unexpected highlight was finding Yunnan floral tea on the menu. Also, laptops aren't allowed on weekends, which creates a quieter atmosphere where people are actually enjoying coffee and conversation instead of working. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Brooklyn and enjoy specialty coffee. read more

Sey Coffee is located off the beaten path, but oh so worth seeking out! LLocated on Grattan Street and Morgan Avenue right off the Morgan Avenue subway stop on the L Train. The coffee here is fantastic, but what is really the high point is the space itself. It is SO gorgeous. Airy with high ceilings and a sun roof with glass ceilings. Plants all over grow to make this a happy healthy spot to sit and relax with a delicious latte. And that's what I did last Tuesday. Wonderful. Friendly baristas too. Visited the coffee shop recently and wanted to share my thoughts: 1. The cappuccino was good, but I wished there were more options for choosing the coffee roast. Not a fan of acidic coffee. 2. The location of the cash register wasn't clear, which made ordering a bit confusing. 3. The place was buzzing with people, indicating the café's success, but unfortunately, finding a seat was a challenge.
