    Spring rolls

The pho was amazing but the spring rolls are the reason I'm already planning my return. The service was alittle over whelmed and right to the point but that's kinda my style. Very local vibe

First and foremost I just want to say that I'm an original at this spot. I've been visiting this restaurant since 2005 and ive put people on to this spot and they still showing. The building is a bit aged but they are still serving up the bext Pho in Phoenix hands down and it aint close. I recommend getting the special fasho. The family is super dope and they make you feel at home when you walk through the doors. The is A-1 since day 1 and they aint stopping. If you're not eating Pho at 43 express then you should go run on the I10 east or west til you hit something. Salute to 43 Express for everything we ate here.

I've heard so many good things about this place, I can't believe its taken me this long to check it out. We came on a Monday afternoon and there was about a 20 minute wait for 2 but it seemed a bit faster. Our drinks and apps came out fairly quickly with our food not too late after. The grilled beef rolls were probably the best thing I had. Ive been to different Vietnamese restaurants before but never heard or tried this before and im sad ive been missing out. The beef had such an amazing punch of flavor with the freshness of the lettuce, cilantro, mint, pickled vegetables and the sauce. Truly 10/10 bite. Spring rolls are to be expected. Bon bo hue was good but very excited to go back to try their pho. I was able to get a parking spot when the inside was packed. There is a decent number of tables inside but the turn around in guests seem fast.

Heard lots of good things about this spot & I'm a pho lover so I had to give it a try. Portions were great, flavor was on point as well. Brisket Pho was my favorite & I'll definitely be back to have it again, the broth was flavorful and the meat was very tender. Service was great and the restaurant was clean. Also our leftovers heated up great the next day.

It's First Come, First Serve, and Worth the Wait. If the Parking Lot is Full, so is the restaurant. We Started with Crispy Egg Rolls and a half order of the Bahn Xeo ( single crepe ) For mine, I got the*11, Beef Pho with steak, brisket, and Flank steak. The restaurant is packed with tables and seating. The service is efficient and the Food is Flavorful.

The best pho I have had in Phoenix. Been living here for two years now and I've finally found a good pho restaurant that lives up to my Vietnamese standards. I got the pho dac biet and it was great. We had a large party and ended up waiting an hour but the staff was so nice and gave us free appetizers for waiting. The Banh xeo was nice and crispy!

I've had this place bookmarked for years. My nail gals mentioned this place had the best pho so I knew I had to make it a priority to go. I have 40 years of experience (lol) eating pho and I will say this is probably one of the best I've ever had! I'm going to say it, this might be better than my mom's! Broth was clean and flavorful. No need to add hoisin or sriracha to doctor it up. I did the XL beef pho and it was full to the rim! So worth the price. Also had the half order of the banh xeo and that was delish too. Huge for half an order! Annnd we did the pork and shrimp spring rolls. Freshly made and full as well. Now I see why everyone raves about it so much. I don't think I can go anywhere else for pho.

When the place has a 45 min wait and filled with Vietnamese customers, you're in for a treat! I was recommended this place by my nail guy and since I was off for the holiday, my kiddo and I checked it out. It was after a big microburst of rain, so I thought it would be empty! Not! Everyone was thinking the same as me. Talk about traffic in and out of here! There's not many tables but when you look in, everyone has their heads down enjoying the food! Be prepared to wait and pack some patience! The aromas waft through the building! I'll definitely visit again!

Hands down one of the best pho in AZ. I ordered the Banh Xeo and Dac Biet pho in a medium. As you can see, they're generous with the serving size. This place gets packed quickly and wait times can be long but it's definitely worth the wait. The restaurant is cozy and the service was A1. This was my first time at this spot and won't be my last. If you're around the Phoenix area and are craving pho, this is the spot you need to check out.

One of the best bowls of pho you can find in AZ! We ordered the Bun Nuoc Leo and pho. Both were absolutely delicious and flavorful. I've been here many times and their pho never disappoints. It does get busy during the lunch rush, but once you order, the service is quick and efficient. The restaurant is family owned and the space itself is small and cozy. They also take card, which is always a plus. There is a few parking spots in front. Sometimes the lot can be packed but I haven't had trouble with parking the last few times I've went. Definitely a go-to spot when I'm craving a comforting bowl of pho. Wish this place was closer to me. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! We ordered pho, vermicelli, and spring rolls. The broth of pho was sooo good, steak was also tender and flavorful. The egg roll on the vermicelli was crunchy and crispy, grilled pork was also good too, the sauce was not too salty, it's a very refreshing dish. Spring rolls came with peanut butter kind of sauce, very thick but tasted light! Great appetizer for summer. The staff were very kind and friendly as well, we waited for seats for 20 minutes even it was 10:30am, but the dishes came out fast.

I'm very biased when it comes to pho because as a Vietnamese American, my mom's homemade pho is the best and will always be the best. However, the pho here at Pho43 is veryyyy close to being almost as good as hers. They definitely don't skimp out on the noodles and different types of meats, I ordered a small bowl and still couldn't finish it all. Unfortunately, parking is kind of limited only because this place can get packed. We came on a Saturday around brunch time, and the wait was about 20 min. The restaurant is very small so we had to wait in the car. Once seated, the servers were amazing. They constantly checked up on us, refilled our water, and got anything we needed. We ordered the Banh Xeo and the Pho Dac Biet, and they were both soooo full of flavor and very authentic, the same taste I remember while growing up. It's safe to say this won't be my last time here. A must visit in Phoenix for sure, even on the hottest summer days.

I've been wanting to come here for a while now and I finally decided to go. This was the best bowl of pho I've had. When we got here it was very busy, we had to wait 40 minutes but it was worth the wait. It felt like a reward. I got the #10 which was brisket pho and steak. When I saw the prices on the menu I was genuinely surprised, very affordable for the portion size. The thing I loved the most was that the bowls had so much onion and green onions. The meat was super tender and had so much flavor. The broth also caught me by surprise, it was so flavorful and it felt like creamy in a way, I can't even describe it. Although the place was very busy, the workers there were all over the place making sure everyone had what they needed. The service was also very fast, we ordered and our bowls came out like 7 minutes after. I love when the bowl is boiling hot and that's exactly how we got it. I will say, the restaurant is very small and the parking spots are limited. When we came there was no parking available because of how full it was. I do wish the place was a little bigger and the hours were longer. They close at 5pm but I feel like closing at 8 would be perfect. Overall, I recommend this place 100%, I definitely will be coming back.

Ask the Community - PHO 43

Is the Pho noodles fresh or dry/reboiled?

Ive seen that they keep bags of pho noodles in the refrigerator. The noodles changed a few times since 2020-2022. This was completely a supplier issue as other pho places had same issue.. They are back to their normal noodles. I hope this helps.

    Can I order on line?

No but you can place an order over the phone and pick up at their restaurant.

    Any recommendations for the pho?

The Steak Pho is delicious. They have several different Phos and I've never tasted a bad one. All fresh ingredients.

Do they have Banh Mi? I don't see any pictures of any.

Hey Matt not sure if you been to this PHO 43 but they don't serve banh mi. But Rob don't you worry their pho will make you forget what banh mi is anyways and they have a bunch of awesome dish rice dishes

Stepping inside, the venue was beautifully lively and bustling with a wonderful crowd, yet it maintained a thoroughly nice, comfortable atmosphere. The staff welcomed us with immense warmth, and I found their level of hospitality to be entirely satisfactory. To commence the luncheon, I ordered a Thai Tea my very first and it was absolute perfection. They also offer a selection of desserts, which I shall certainly have to explore on a future visit. When it came to selecting my entrée, our waiter was exceedingly nice, explaining the menu with the utmost patience. Following his guidance, I chose the Wonton Noodle Soup with ribs. The kitchen's timing was impeccable; precisely fifteen minutes later, it was presented at our table. The dish was a absolute triumph the noodles paired with the rich, savory ribs were utterly exciting to the palate. This establishment has officially earned a very special place in my diary. The restaurant seems to charge for every little thing and the staff is slow and forgetful. Having to get up so many times just to remind them about our order is simply not acceptable. I really hope things improve, especially for long time customers who have supported this place for years Ambience The ambience was very cute and charming. The space feels inviting and has a pleasant atmosphere. Food The food was good. We ordered the catfish spring rolls and they were delicious once everything finally made it to the table. Service The service was the biggest issue and it was very disappointing, especially since my family has been coming here for 3 years. Parts of our order were missing, including several side dishes and even the sauce for the spring rolls. We asked for a cup of ice and that was missing too. We waited about 10 minutes after receiving the catfish before the vegetables were brought out and we had to keep asking for simple items. It's a shame because things taste best when the food is still hot, but the catfish was already cold once they brought out all the small dishes that came with the main dish. Because the staff was moving so slowly, we ended up walking to the counter (6 times) just to follow up on things that should have been brought to us without asking. It honestly felt like we were serving ourselves. There should be no excuse why service was so slow because there's two waitress and only one other table. The Vietnamese coffee tasted sickly sweet and burnt. After taking one sip, I asked to switch to a Thai tea, hoping it would be better, but that drink was also extremely sickenly sweet. I returned it after one sip as well. I was surprised to see that I was charged for both drinks and was told it was because I drank them, which did not feel fair at all. They even charged us for the lemon slices.

I'm awesome! Thank you! Wish I had room to order! For dinner we did: - Filet Spring Roll - Chuck Norris Spring Roll - grandma Trans firecracker wings - Crispy Rice on sizzling plate with Filet My words cannot describe how amazingly delicious it all was. The spring rolls were equally filling, flavorful, refreshing, and savory! Flavor explosion! The firecracker wings drenched in the spicy sauce was so good, we kept dipping some of our kids fries in the sauce! Lastly the Crispy Rice dish with filet, WOW! A bite of that, with some broth on the side. I couldn't easily swear it's one of the most savory dishes I've had in AZ. What a hidden gem! On top of this, as a parent, it's always stressful eating outside of your own home with your kiddos, but the staff/owners were so accommodating, I felt comfortable and grateful! They were so nice and my 3Yo is wild, but they didn't make us feel bad and they continued to smile and even give him a high five as we left. The place is very clean inside, nicely decorated, and had background music playing (I hate places that are dead silent). A nice spot for me and my girlfriend to enjoy our lunch and talk over a bowl of pho. I was intrigued by the veggie pho because they used baby corn, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and asparagus. I don't really like vegetable broth so I asked if the broth could be their beef broth which they said was ok. My girlfriend had the chicken pho like she usually does and we shared a spring roll. I have to say that I was blown away with how delicious my pho was. It had such a nice clean beef flavor that you love when enjoying pho. The vegetables worked incredibly, but I' sure any of their beef options are stellar (I just wanted veggies). No doubt one of the more memorable broths that's I've had in a long time! My girlfriend's pho was also super flavorful and had a nice aroma as well. She ended up eating all the broth and had a bunch of leftover noodles and chicken. I would really recommend not serving the chicken diced in cubes because you can't get those nice chopsticks full of noodles and chicken. The roll we ordered was good, but probably not something I'd get again. They use filet mignon for it, but I think I would prefer to have them use a less expensive cut and give me 2X the meat. Finally our server Enrique was cool and very attentive and let us know about their Sunday pho special which was great. This place might not be as traditional as the other places where you see the entire family working and have the beat up menus, but it's they definitely make pho worth checking out for yourself.

I've been to is a huge amount or like a generous amount of that sauce dividend but I got like barely anything so I was like trying to scoop it at the end, but yeah, definitely funky tasting rolls. The pho itself consisted mostly of noodles and a decent amount of meat at least but with the combination, I felt like the tendon they just gave the biggest chunks possible, which were extremely hard to try to bite through unusual for me to come across I love tripe and tendon the most in the combos, the regular size is generously sized tho no need to pay extra for a larger size unless you're really hungry the flavor of the broth tasted good nothing special but it was a alright meal prob won't come back but I don't think it was entirely a waste of time

The produce- pickled veggies with decent balance of cilantro and thinly sliced jalapeños! Omg soooo good. All fresh and flavorful! Can you pls open another eatery in San Antonio?!

First impressions: a clean and modern interior that has a calming effect. Not a lot of tables! We…read morewere lucky to snag the last one after a table left. An employee quickly cleared the table without hesitation, wiping it down and giving us a pleasant greeting. He was also clearing plates through the small space. It looked like there was just one person working the counter and he was also helping to cook. Everything was cooked to order. We ordered a BBQ pork banh mi, spring rolls, and a pork eggroll noodle bowl (which is my newest obsession). The vegetables on the sandwich were fresh and flavorful; we had some inconsistent knife cuts on the pork resulting in "a big 'ole hunk of meat" on one side of the sandwich, but no big deal. A few issues for me, which may not be a deterrent to you: The rice noodles were overcooked to my taste and my noodle bowl was missing the crunch of bean sprouts! Those same mushy noodles were in the spring rolls. We both didn't care for the addition of bacon in the spring roll and the peanut sauce was the consistency of peanut butter, but we mixed it with siracha and made our own little spicy sauce. All in all a friendly, clean, and inviting place!
