The Vietnamese coffee was probably one of the strongest I've tasted, a little on the more bitter side, but a few sips and you're good to go. We came on a Monday afternoon and there was about a 20 minute wait for 2 but it seemed a bit faster. Our drinks and apps came out fairly quickly with our food not too late after. When we got here it was very busy, we had to wait 40 minutes but it was worth the wait. It felt like a reward. I got the #10 which was brisket pho and steak. The service was also very fast, we ordered and our bowls came out like 7 minutes after. I love when the bowl is boiling hot and that's exactly how we got it. I will say, the restaurant is very small and the parking spots are limited. When we came there was no parking available because of how full it was. I do wish the place was a little bigger and the hours were longer. They close at 5pm but I feel like closing at 8 would be perfect. You walk into a place that is loved by its community not just for the food but for its laidback environment. The Banh Xeo is a must get if you want a crispy shrimp and beef appetizer. The pho is a home-run with how you can taste the care and patience that went into broth, not soapy like many places, smells of all the essential flavoring ingredients (charred onion, star anise, etc). The "Dac Biet Xe Lua" is the beef pho bowl you want if you can eat a good amount. The Bun Bo Hue is heavy in beef essence and is topped by the vibrant oil layer (which is normal in this dish). If you're wanting something that has hints of mexican menudo, go ahead and give it a shot in any restaurant you come across the dish. Besides the amazing flavors, the service is mirroring the vibes of the restaurant, casual but very welcoming and is like home to many from all backgrounds. They were really refreshing and the texture was great as well. They came topped with toasted peanuts and a dipping sauce, which added a sweet, nutty and toasted flavor. The pho itself is amazing, the portions are huge and the broth is almost buttery and very fragrant with the different spices used. The brisket is tender and the tripe is crisp. It was not a good decision because on my day off with my husband. we chose to spend our time here as a family, and the girl with the white almond nails and eyelash extensions was extremely rude. I asked her for some sauce and she was so embarrassingly rude about it and then when I was trying to pay, she was again rude. I literally said thank you and she responded "here's your receipt ma'am" to brush me out of the way. I had a really disappointing experience here and won't be coming back. From the moment we walked in, the younger lady who took our order was extremely rude and rushed us. I placed a takeout order and was told to come back in 20-25 minutes. When I returned, she handed me the food and walked away. I asked for Sriracha and other sauces, and she said everything was in the bag -- which wasn't true. The Sriracha was mixed with a sweet brown sauce (which I didn't ask for), and my chili oil was missing completely. When I got home about an hour later, the pho wasn't even ready to eat. The meat was still raw and bleeding in a small plastic bag, the noodles were extremely hard, and the broth looked dirty and unappetizing. There were no instructions included, so I had to call the restaurant just to figure out how to finish cooking my food myself. When I mentioned the dirty broth, they brushed it off and said that "never happens." I offered to send pictures, but they refused to look at them. I asked for a refund, and things got even more uncomfortable. We paid cash, and they kept insisting I give them my card information over the phone so they could refund it -- which I was not comfortable with. I repeatedly explained that my boyfriend could pick it up since it was near his work, but they kept pushing the card option anyway. Overall, the customer service was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, and the food quality was unacceptable. Pho should not be served raw with no instructions, especially for takeout.
