This was my first time visiting this shoppe. We were in Santa Fe visiting the churches and decided to walk the streets and check out the shops. A quaint little chocolate shop with plenty of different varieties of chocolates especially the chili chocolates. That is what I was most interested in. So much to choose from. But I was able to try some caramel covered chocolate and red chili chocolate. It was so delicious. I'll be sure to visit here again when in Santa Fe. Thank you!

Located in Santa Fe just up the street from the Loretto Chapel and Inn/Spa at Loretto, walking distance. These chocolates are also sold at the Albuquerque airport so if you miss getting them here, then you can buy them at the airport. Boxed chocolates and counter displayed chocolates. Walked in and a guy was sitting near the floor entry way on his phone. The attendant offered to help us and said to take our time. As we were talking, she asked if we planned to walk around and said to be careful to buy chocolates now and walk around because they might melt. Nice of her to mention that.

First of all, the chocolates here are amazing. My sister and I stayed at The Old Santa Fe Inn while in Santa Fe on vacation and when we arrived they had two complimentary chocolates for us. The chocolates were so good we looked up where to get more--Senor Murphy's. We ended up arriving at the San Fransisco Street location about 10 minutes until close. The store itself is kind of hard to find because it's very narrow but located right next to the La Fonda hotel. Now for why I gave this location only 3 stars: When my sister and I walked in we weren't greeted at all. There were 3 other people in the shop. A woman announced that she would be closing in 10 minutes. We waited our turn to be served and then placed our order. When the woman went to ring us up she VERY rudely said "well you both waited until the last minute to come in didn't you?" I thought she was joking.. So I laughed and said "yes, sorry!" She told us that next time we want chocolates we can always go to the location by the mall down the street which closes at 7pm instead. Then she took my payment, and boxed the candy up for us, not thanking us at all. Service is very important to me and the woman here left me with the worst taste in my mouth. Luckily I had some absolutely amazing sea salted caramel chocolates to help me forget it.

mmmmm YUM!!!!! Senor Murphy, WHY YOU MAKE ME EAT WHOLE BOX?!?!?! I hate pine nuts. Ever since I was young, I have hated pine nuts. BUT, I love pinons- only when they are in Senor Murphy's candy! My boyfriend is from Santa Fe, & his very sweet parents wanted to bring me a gift unique to Santa Fe when they visited, so they brought a box of "Santa Fe-vorites." Hah! +3 stars right there for being so clever. It was the most delicious gift ever, & lasted a whole 12 hours- 8 of those I was sleeping overnight. I oddly discovered that my favorite candies were all the pinion ones, so from then on I have always gotten the "Pinon Parade" box. The pinon tortugas are delicious- milk chocolate over gooey caramel & toasty pine nuts. The pinon toffee chips are crunchy vanilla sweetness. My boyfriend & I fight over the pinon roll- a vanilla fudge log rolled in pinons. It is sweet & buttery! But my absolute favorite are the pinon caramels, which are simple vanilla caramels with pinons. Chewy melt-in-your-mouth stuck-in-your-teeth perfection! This shop also carries other sweets such as frozen bananas, chili mango pops, etc. You MUST come here if you are within 1000 miles of Santa Fe!!! lol

Pretty good chocolate. I had a chocolate cover Pinon nut. And I swear it tasted like a magical forest had a baby with a woman.

We definitely preferred to European style with almond milk, but I think that we would like the more traditional ones if they were made with milk. We also really liked the brownies, though the Aztec brownie + ice cream gave me an intense caffeine overload--my fault! Our first time here we each got an ice cream, both with fudge and whipped cream. As I said, while the Aztec was delicious, it really was too much for me, but I still ate the whole thing! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my husband's mint chocolate chip--the peppermint flavor was real--it tasted like they soaked the milk with peppermint leaves to make it, and it was so refreshing! We liked the chocolate truffles and bon bons so much that we ended up buying them as gifts. Our favorite flavors were the sage/goat cheese, peanut butter bar, Aztec round, bourbon pecan, and lavender. Finally, the service was outstanding. The servers were so kind, patient, and helpful. Our first trip the server took the time to write each flavor on our box of chocolates so that we would know what was what. The second server listened as we decided which treats were for which friends, and he wrote their names on each box before wrapping them. So very kind!

The quality of the product definitely stands out. Unfortunately, the service did not match the standard of the chocolates. When we asked about the different varieties and flavor differences to help decide what to purchase, the response felt dismissive and unwelcoming. For a specialty chocolate shop, customers should be able to expect knowledgeable and engaging guidance, especially when navigating a premium selection. Instead, it felt as though our questions were an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to share expertise and enhance the experience. The lack of warmth and customer engagement significantly took away from what should have been a memorable experience.

My god, what a find!…read more A friend and I stumbled upon this store while on a two hour visit to Santa Fe on our way to Albuquerque. We loved it so much that we spent a significant amount of time in here sampling all of their balsamic vinegars. You'll feel like a kid in a candy store with all of the classy stainless steel dispensers available for you to sample at your leisure. It was so difficult to decide but I walked out of there a happy woman with a bottle of their 18 yr aged tradition balsamic vinegar (top seller) and a bottle of their, wait for it... Georgia Peach Balsamic Vinegar.. my god. As you would imagine, that vinegar is light colored, rich and sweet (just how I like my men). This place is a DEFINITE stop if you are a balsamic vinegar, olive oil and/or salt connoisseur. Prices are reasonable ($20/per bottle), considering the amount and the quality. I like to think of this place as a little slice of Europe in the middle of Santa Fe. Also, I came across this video tonight while trying to figure out if Oleaceae already had a presense on Yelp. It's informative and gives you an idea of the classy stainless steel dispensers I mention in my review: http://vimeo.com/19817153
