I could say so much for you to believe me, and it honestly starts with the speedy (and kind) service, flavorful profiles and the pricing! My first visit I just simply couldn't believe it. Each visit, I try something new and I must say that I'm hooked on the Jamaica Margarita (with the tajin rim), and the pork shoulder taco, as well as the chicken taco! The Baja shrimp taco is also in my top 3! The staff is kind, energetic and will remember you; not just from personal experience but from my observations as well. I didn't realize that was his decision to make, and when I brought it up, he rolled his eyes and responded with a horrible attitude. On a positive note, Sara behind the bar was fantastic, and Alexis was incredibly kind. They both provided the level of service I've come to expect from Taconeta. Here you will encounter all kinds of people from all socioeconomic backgrounds. From white people, to doctors, lawyers, families, young, old.... It's very diverse. And nice to see how our love for these tacos connects us. But anyway, it gets pretty crowded during the evenings which is hard for you to place an order especially if you're ordering one by one. People are shoving and pushing, and hurrying you up to get your salsa or whatever it is that you're using so they can use it next. Not everyone is that rude, but I have come across some people who can't wait for their turn. Which is why I usually place a full order, get my salsa, and my other needs and walk to free space (sometimes to my car) and peacefully enjoy my meal. Most of the time a group of mariachis or musicians will start playing as you eat or interact with those around you. As far as the tacos go, it's only "tripas". There are 3 cooks, very nice people, one makes them crunchy, the other soft, and the other campechana which is mixed. Napkins are handy, as well as salsa, lemons, salt, pepper, etc. They have a bench or two so you can sit. During winter they have heaters. And they also have a sink to wash your hands and a restroom. Never used the restroom so I wouldn't be able to tell if it's kept clean. Parking is hard to find, it fills up very fast. But as soon as someone leaves I usually run for it before someone arrives but that's just me. Other than that I still love this place. Love to meet new people and listen to good music. This place has been around for many many years. The first time I went was in 2010 but the business has been there since way longer. There is a parking lot so if you are driving it's fairly easy to get a spot. They do have folks watching the lot but unsure how useful they are as last time a member of our group visited someone hit their car and those responsible for watching and helping in the lot didn't even get the license plate of the offender. We had a reservation for 6:30 pm and upon arrival we were sat pretty quickly though it was certainly not the best seat as we were positioned toward the back behind a pillar that blocks a central part of the stage area. The view was ok, but certainly not the greatest. Food & Drink - 4* We had a few drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The fundido and guacamole were both good. The aguachile shrimp was fresh and very citrusy. The flautas were crunchy and the ribeye steak was cooked perfectly though explaining "medio raro" was shockingly frustrating even with several fluent bilingual speakers in the group. My response to it all was, "Medio raro no es medio bien, totalmente diferente; el medio raro es antes que el medio." I wouldn't say it's worth of five star but it was all certainly above average. Service - 2* Here's the biggest knock of the entire visit. We arrived at 6:30 pm. We were sat by 6:35-6:40 pm. We didn't have our drink order taken until about 7:00 pm. We didn't receive our drinks for another 15 minutes. We fortunately placed our appetizer order at the same time as the drinks so the appetizers showed up about 7:30 pm. He took our entree order about 30 minutes later, around 8 pm. The show starts at 8:30 pm, we didn't receive our food until 8:45-8:50 pm. This meant we largely had to eat our entire entree in the dark since a good portion of the show is with the lights off. We did notice that at no point in time did ALL tables have dishes on their table, which made us wonder if they don't even have enough plates for the entire seating capacity. They were very quick to take empty plates which made us further suspect that this was a constraint. Overall this makes for a very frustrating experience. Pricing - 4* Subjectively I think the entrees and drinks are fairly priced all things considered. Expect to spend about $30-50 USD a person for a couple of drinks and food. There is a charge for the show, which is reasonable given the length of the show is 1.5 hours. Overall - 3.25* The overall experience was nice though the service to get drinks and food in a timely capacity was definitely the most frustrating part. I don't know if this is because they just don't know how to handle a full house, don't have the back house kitchen capacity, not enough plates to serve everyone, or just purposely go slow to keep you wanting to drink more? Id recommend arriving around 5:45-6 pm in order to hopefully avoid eating in the dark. We enjoyed the show though the impersonator of Juan Gabriel was fairly "eh." Of all the performances we all agreed his was the least entertaining and could be cut out in place of something better. This is a great show for all ages and definitely highlights the different regional cultures well. Everyone enjoyed it, the food is good, just don't expect to be served quickly. If they could improve that, it can easily be 4*.

These are rolled up tacos, way better than those American Chico's tacos. There's no real menu, there's only one type of filling: shredded beef. The server will ask what you will be ordering he's simply asking you what size you want: half, one, one and a half and two. They come with cabbage and red salsa don't be afraid of the red salsa it's not spicy the green salsa though that's the spicy one so watch out for that one. You can only accompany these delicious tacos with a Mexican coke or a beer. I come here every time I roll down to Juarez! It's a bit dark so just roll with it.
