The bucket gimmick was nice but found lumpia at the other vendors were much better in taste and quality. Food vendors mainly outside in the back area. All food vendors staff nice and patient considering the lines. Picnic table seating was mainly at either ends of the hall inside. A few vendors like VERY BRAVE COFFEE, very popular with its Ube-inspired menu, was inside the hall. Try their coffees and drinks, Very Ube Latte (hot or cold)! Plenty of vendors Filipino, Japanese, Asian offering knickknacks, tee shirts and gifts. Even though we were stalled on booking our games (due to the Venue needed to help with the layout), Luiza was still openly optimistic about helping us and in the end we got all the games we wanted. We opted for Ring Toss, Giant Checkers and Clowning Around (Bean Bag Target type of game - see photo). Except for the Giant Checkers, the prices are fairly reasonable. Please note that someone else may think that the price was reasonable...it's all subjective. Here's What I Think.... They have a ton of games from which to choose. I really appreciate that because sometimes you take art classes and the instructor covers in a way that makes me feel uncomfortable. This was not the case at all, she was there to help with any questions I had, and support me and whatever I wanted to make. It was so much fun and I think I may be addicted to making glass now. Although they ask $25(plus ticket fees) for attendees to attend the Night Market, I was generally happy to donate to La Cocina just for the convenience of not waiting in super big lines on Saturday. I got there a little bit before 6pm, the event's official start time. I had originally treked over to 25th and Fulsom to find a booth where I can redeem my voucher for a passport. Upon getting there, a La Cocina worker told me that the booth was located at the site....uggghhh. Note to self: go straight to the event for future reference. I arrived at the Alemany Farmers Market with parking pass in hand(bought online for around $9) thinking I was early...ummmm nope. The place was already packed full of people! The people who took the shuttles already arrived and they already had a lengthy head start! The food options were aplenty, lots and lots of businesses were there offering everything from sandwiches, soups, tacos, and other tasty treats. My favorite was the Boss Hog provided by the Bone & Gristle Boys and 4505 Meats. This sandwich initially looked like a huge McGriddle but it was way better than that! Between two griddled English Muffins, nestled a serving of corn meal crusted deep-fried pork and slow roasted chili rubbed pork with a jalapeno ranch dressing. Add vermont cheddar, market greens, smoked red onions, and chicharrones for crunch, and it was AMAZING! It literally was a mess to eat with plenty of stuff falling out and juice getting on your hand, but I'll gladly wipe my hands clean as long as I can have another! Other food booths that I tried included the Jim 'N' Nicks whole hog pork with adobo sauce, The Whole Beast's merengez lamb sausage on a bun with peppers as well as their kefta lamb meatballs on a stick with yogurt dipping sauce, Huarache Loco's lamb taco and lamb soup both of which packed a wallop in spicy punch, and lastly, a serving of Locandoa Osteria's grilled short ribs. Hot and spicy soup does wonders for warming up in the chilly conditions! I can't forget about the alcohol...Whole Foods was there with eight selections of beers ranging from IPA and pale ales to cider too. Ryed from the Road were also there doing cocktails like old-fashions too. Note to future attendees: Wristbands are needed to purchase alcohol although this fact may not be conveyed to you when you arrive. I didn't learn of this until I got to the front of the beer line. Also, alcoholic drinks require you to exchange for tokens as well. Each token is $4(1 token for beer, 2 tokens for mixed drinks). Wristbands and token exchange were located near the entrance of the event. Overall, it was a fun event that had a good turnout and lots of communal seating and many portable heaters for warmth. It was super windy and cold on the night we went so bring your hat, scarves, and jackets when attending. I'll likely come back again for the good food and drinks and to support La Cocina and their charitable endeavors. One thing that I absolutely wish I had tried: Endless Summer's Bacon Maple Kettlecorn!

Attended my first rodeo this past weekend, and the entertainment value was high, well trained bulls…read moreand horses keeping the crowd engaged... along with the humans running the show of course. Parking and event entry was quick and easy (though it cost $20 at Cow Palace). And there were several concession stands available serving typical snacks and treats like hot dogs, nachos, and even frozen beverages. The show started at 7:30pm, and various acts occurred for a little over two hours (before the main attraction). This included award presentations, an opportunity for moms from the crowd to enter the arena and race for a prize wearing only one shoe, corny jokes by the rodeo clown, saddle bronc riding (wild bucking horse trying to throw off the rider... similar to bull riding), horse barrel racing (female riders getting their horses to zoom around 3 barrels in the arena at the highest speed), and tie-down roping (cowboys wielding a lasso on the bull, competing for quickest time). I liked how the announcer explained the rules and animal ethics to the audience as some participants were disqualified during the roping challenge. The bull riding started around 9:45pm, and those spinning, twisting bulls were crazy! This 15-minute highlight of the event, with about 5 different bulls/riders, was followed by a bull jumper/stuntman performing acrobatics, dodging and doing flips in the air while being charged by a bull. The show ultimately ended around 10:15pm, and quickly turned into a country concert, opening up the arena to all, for live music entertainment. I enjoyed the event overall, and felt that Section 19 offered an ideal view of all the different acts. I do recommend coming a little early if sitting in the dress circle though, since it's "first come, first served" stadium seating and was pretty crowded. Cool and unique experience, and I will definitely return!

Saw the horses in the back on the dirt ground, looked at the food options and viewed the merch that was being sold. We found our seats and listened to the dj intro, watched all the events and left. Not my favorite but glad I experienced it once.

Tori was the instructor and my daughter really liked her. The only challenge with camp was that the hours were 9am - 12 pm, which was challenging for a 2 working parent family like ours. I hope they'll offer a full day option in the future, as some other pottery studios in the city do. Separately, we took a parent/child pottery wheel workshop at Speckle Studio today - I was so glad to see this offered! I'm excited about the fact the studio offers 4 week sessions and weekend classes, and look forward to enrolling in a class soon. I am so thrilled to have a pottery studio on Cortland and hope it thrives!

See, we have been enough to know they only brought half the stuff. AND with the addition of the T-Rex ticket, parking, two pretzels, and a 5 hour round trip ( we can never confirm that the will come to Raleigh until the last second which does not work for us). That makes it $150 day. Previous shows: at least 3 bounce houses and 2 slides. This show 0 houses 1 slide with an hour wait. Previous shows strung out like a Dino trail, with lots of animals. This one, just a few clumped together in the half of the room not devoted to merchandising. Previous 3 adult Dino to ride. This time only 2 babies. Even down to the picture taking. Before the camera was back far enough it gave room enough to lift the baby over head. This time crammed into a little corner. Shot came out terrible. I have 6 of these photos. I know what I'm talking about. So this thing has gone from an expensive but fun afternoon to a just plain rip off. Too bad I can't give zero stars.

Opened in 1941, the Cow Palace has hosted everything from livestock shows and rodeos to political conventions, legendary concerts, and major sporting events. The Beatles played here. The Warriors once called it home. It is one of those venues that just feels historic the moment you walk in. Came here recently for the Guy Fieri Super Bowl Tailgate and it was awesome. The event staff were very organized and things ran smoothly, which is impressive given the size of the crowd. Plenty of space, easy flow, and great energy throughout. Such a classic big Bay Area venue. Old school in the best way. Always a fun experience coming back here.

We had heard that Cow Palace was not a great venue, and from social media posts, it seems that a…read morelot of it has to do with the staff and with the crowds. Purchasing merch wasn't too bad, there was a trailer towards the back of the line and it was super quick. The staff were really nice in letting me hold the merch to see how sizing was. We got here at around door opening time, and it took us probably about an hour to actually snake around and make it to the front. Along the way, there were a lot of people breaking down the gates to cut people AND us. Other people also took the opportunity to just push through when someone even opened the gates a bit to adjust it...it was actually really aggressive and rude behavior from ravers. At the front, other ravers were also just bolting from the snaking line to the entrance. The whole time we were in line, I was seriously concerned for fights breaking out or a crowd crush because of course everyone was drunk or on drugs, and just pushing and cutting. Seems like the experience I had might have been more tame than ISOxo that just happened a few months before. Once we got in, if you wanted to be on the floor level, you had to get a wristband. Messaging was confusing because I thought floor level wristbands were running low. Even here, ravers were trying to cut. It was so obnoxious. Staff seemed to not care or had no way of controlling them. Lines to the bathroom were long, but moved fairly fast. We were trying to be strategic about the time we went to the bathroom during the early acts versus the main act (Gryffin). Because it was so crowded, we didn't really have an opportunity to get food. Once you're in the floor level, there's opportunities to buy alcohol. When we tried to get to the floor level, there were maybe 4-5 security people checking wristbands, but people were hopping over walls and such, so they couldn't really enforce people having wristbands. If you leave the floor to go to the bathroom, you can't easily walk back inside, so you had to endure going through the security screening for wristbands again. Despite security not being able to enforce wristbands, thankfully the floor was not completely full. Something that I noticed on the floor was that all the people who were tall or had large fans obscuring the view for people behind them, were located towards the center line, so it was way better to be left or right of center. If you go towards the back, there's also way more space to stand and breathe, as well as get a better view. The lights were amazing, sound was very good and loud, and the production was fantastic by Gryffin. Leaving for us was fairly easy, since we booked it once the set was over. They had clear markings for exiting the parking lot. Unfortunately parking was ~$30-40. There wasn't really anyone to organize people when we entered, people just kinda zoomed in/cutting as well. Overall, Gryffin had a great set but this venue is pretty bad as social media portrays it. To be honest, it's probably more of the crowds. Not sure if I'd really want to see any acts here in the future.
