It is ashamed that Google turns off the review function for SFPD Mission Station. I can see why…read morebecause most of my experiences of calling 311 or their non emergency number 415-553-0123 for help is similar to the ONE star lone review from 8 years ago, not helpful. On 6/17/24, I called for help after vandals have damaged the exterior gate to my elderly parents' home for the third time. As usual, the dispatcher told me all of the officers were busy and would come out whenever they have time without timeline. I have heard this so many times and don't have faith anyone will come. After all, this is San Francisco. Crimes are so rampant police officers probably have more urgency calls, numb, or no bandwidth to deal with the crime loads. We got lucky this evening! Officer Singh responded. He was patient, courteous and helped my 86 years old dad to file a police report with his broken English first time ever in his life. Officer Singh educated my dad not to fear calling 911 due to the language barrier. Calling his daughter an hour away is not helpful in emergency situation this. He assured my dad there will be translator there to assist if he calls. After reviewing from the camera footage, I could see officer Singh leaned forward and treated my poorly dressed dad with kindness and respect. It is his demeanor, my dad open up to tell him his multiple previous vandalism experiences. It's with his assurance, my parents can have a bit more peace at night when they go to bed. Shout out to officer Singh at the SF Mission Police Station!! May God continues to bless good police officers like him and keeping them safe from harm. We are extremely grateful for your service and help.

They tag-teamed while on the phone with me to try all the options available, and eventually found him. Also, two members of a community help organization (can't remember the exact group name) kindly offered suggestions. And altho they may not see this review, my heart goes out to three lovely street folks who gave me hope that I'd find my relative.

I want to express my deep gratitude to the San Francisco Police Department for the care and…read morecompassion they showed me during one of the most difficult moments of my life. At the time, I was very sick--dealing with severe dehydration, malnutrition, and confusion. I wasn't in a state where I could fully understand what was happening or advocate for myself. I was weak, disoriented, and truly vulnerable. Instead of overlooking me or moving on, the officers who responded took the time to recognize that I needed real help. They didn't treat me like a problem--they treated me like a person. They stepped up, stayed present, and made sure I got to the hospital safely. That decision made all the difference. In a moment where I could have easily been left behind or misunderstood, they chose compassion. They chose to act. Because of that, I received the medical care I desperately needed, and I am now on the road to recovery. There's something incredibly powerful about being seen and helped when you cannot help yourself. I will never forget that. Their kindness, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile truly meant the world to me.

Egotistical napoleon syndrome at its finest. THE question was: are cars coming through. He essentially said what do you think and commented that that was a dumb question. I expressed how this was a perfect opportunity to improve SFPD's public perception but why was it necessary to be rude and incomprehensibly inconsiderate. I mentioned he could be sweeter. But he said he's basically already awesome. Good for you Hall. Just trying to help law enforcement. I get the same lip service at home. And you all wonder why people HATE COPS. Hmmmm? Is it rocket science. Still hiring? Short rosters because of attitudes like Hall's. Good luck filling your rosters and improving your perception.

Apparently, SFPD does not understand traffic laws. Not surprising, since they refuse to enforce them.

It looked hopeless the family and friends of these poor souls would ever find justice. We did speak with an officer and were treated kindly and respectfully. Law enforcement has a tough job. Three thug types were trying to break into the gate and potentially house while i lli was sound asleep! i don't know what caused me to wake up bc there wasn't any noise, but when i did i knew immediately something was wrong and looked at the camera and saw them out there. i turned all the lights on and called 911. About 10-15 cops showed up within minutes and were right away making sure everything was safe and that these guys weren't hanging around nearby. Two officers came up to talk to me and tried to calm me down bc i was really freaked out by all this. They were super kind and helpful and gave great advice on what the owner of the house i'm renting should do to secure it and reassured me that if these thugs came back they would have a hard time getting into the house AND to keep my phone next to me and call right away if they came back. Cops have really tough jobs and these days little respect. Especially living in a city like SF where they favor criminals and police have to deal with so much politics and BS just to be able to do their jobs. Their jobs are to protect us! The leaders of this city sadly want to make that hard for them. That is super sad. They came to my aid in literally less than five mins, probably more like 2 or 3 mins and likely prevented the situation from escalating into something far worse! I love the officers at Taraval station and they've always taken good care of us. i will for sure miss them when i move in a few weeks, and hope that in my new home i don't have to call the police as much as i've had to while living here in Sf, specially the last few years. Thank you SFPD, and especially all of my favorite Taraval Station officers! you're the best!
