We discussed freezing the membership, and I later asked that it be canceled once the 6 months were complete. Despite this, I was billed beyond the 6-month term and told that my cancellation was not valid because it wasn't submitted in writing, even though they had notes from our conversation and I had not attended classes for months due to injury. I understand policies, but I wish this had been clearly communicated at the time and that the circumstances had been taken into account. It felt like payment mattered more than a member's injury or good-faith communication.

Two years ago I made a commitment to myself to improve my health, and Club Pilates is one of the steps I took to accomplish this goal. I started with a basic membership of 4 classes per month. With my busy work schedule, I appreciate the flexibility of having some evening and weekend classes available. My favorite classes are Reformer Flow 1 and Center+Balance. For a beginner, they offer the perfect amount of challenge coupled with relaxation and rejuvenation. In comparison to other studios that may only offer mat work, Club Pilates has all of the actual equipment that provides a complete full-body workout. Being new to Pilates, I was amazed to find nearly every muscle group benefitting from the classes. Finally, it's not just the classes and equipment, but most importantly the instructors. And for women who are intimidated by lifting and strength training, this is your breakthrough solution because many of the women members are seasoned competitive lifters of all ages. To be clear, you're not going to find a room full of cardio machines or a schedule of yoga classes. Roswell Barbell is focused on building strength and has all the equipment you need to accomplish this goal. Despite its small size, there's plenty of equipment to use. I've been going for six months, starting as a white collar novice lifter who had never used a barbell in his life and didn't understand how chalk was used. The team here has supported my training, taught me the skills, and made it fun, healthy, and respectful. Now, I spend 3-4 days a week lifting heavy things, challenging my body to get stronger, and learning from some of the best athletes. I leave chalky and exhausted, and motivated to come back again. I like this gym a lot BUT,,,, Machines are getting terribly…read moreunsanitary more and more each week- deep layers of dust from skin and hair down in all cracks of machines - everybody talks about it and how the employees just stand and sit around talking to each other when one of them could be cleaning these machines - so unnecessary and so unfortunate, place getting a reputation for this , can make people sick too - such an easy fix but no action so far ( break out a vacuum and suck this stuff up please then up keep, gym members clean machines more then employees ). This said, the torn and worn padding on a lot of machines is a surprise for such a large corporate business. They also add these new machines and put these huge proud decals on floor showing what's new, mean while current machines are suffering in this new gym, weird ... Again, like this gym, this is such an easy fix...

The staff at check in was nice; they at least spoke. It was very busy (which was not a problem) but it was shockingly overwhelming because of the size. If it were a larger gym the amount it would not have seemed as crowded. The weight machines are very close together. The free weight sections was way too crowded for the size. The cardio section was small but they had the usual cardio machine. The locker room was small...as the other locations are as well. If the location was bigger it would be a help.

BEWARE!!!!! This gym has a very deceitful way of getting you to sign a contract with a trainer!!…read moreThey put up an 8.5 X 11 piece of paper in a plastic frame with 8 - 10 one liner points on it. The trainer is supposed to explain (obviously in the least amount of detail as possible) what they want you to acknowledge by way of your signature on a signature pad that has nothing written on it. So you sign your name 8 - 10 times. The next day is when they email you a two-page contract that you supposedly "signed" when in reality you never saw the contract in the firsts place and therefore were not given the opportunity to read and review it before you "signed" it. I cannot think of - nor have I ever seen a more deceptive process!! When you ultimately get the contract you will see that it is loaded with microscopic print - you will need a magnifier to read it or you will have to blow it up on your devise. You will see that if you do not cancel within the first 7 days, they have you by the balls. There are very ambiguous ways to cancel the contract but good luck trying to figure it out and get out of it post the 7-day window. Plus your trainer may be a trainer but first and foremost he/she is a hard-sell salesperson. And you will have to go through him or her first if you intend to cancel at which point they are going to try and get you to pay the entire thing in full. In short - demand to see the entire contract up front (before signing) and READ THE ACTUAL CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SIGN!! I cancelled before my 7-day window was over and they argued up a storm that they did nothing deceitful but I have been in business for over 50 years and I know better.
