Only Rebarts can come out and fix them after installation - it is a 150.00 "site visit fee" every time they need to come look at them if a motor breaks, etc. In addition to the fee to actually fix the shade. 2. Make sure they are measured exact, examine every shade before it goes in. Look for frayed sides, weird angles, and verify every shade goes up and down with no issues multiple times before you let anyone leave. One of the motors was not working properly when it arrived, instead of allowing them to install and wait for a new one I should have rejected the order and waited for it to be fixed. It took a LOT of back and forth and time to get things fixed properly - it was not a great experience. 3. The motors can be unreliable - YouTube videos to help with rebalancing etc. aren't really helpful, so you end up having to pay the $150.00 fee + any fix costs once a year or so to get someone out to fix them. - Budget for this. ** (I'm actually waiting to schedule someone to come out now because one of our major room shades just stopped working)** 4. Everyone is really nice, they look nice, and I like the auto timer feature! 5. if you have kids, make sure the area around the blinds is clear before opening and closing! If we change things up in a few years, I don't think I will go with the same type, but they are nice for now.

She provided meaningful options and we are happy with the design. We discussed with Aleksandra that we wanted the shades installed as close to our skylights as possible, and she confirmed with the installer that that was possible. Install (David): 2/5 We did a walkthrough with David and again explained that we wanted the shades as close to our skylights as possible. He asked, and we told him, that we also wanted the solar recharging panels to be on the side where the shade collected when opened (so the panels would be less visible). To be fair, David warned us that he would likely scratch the walls and may leave gaps because the coverage around our skylights was uneven. Both of those came to pass (which I am separately fixing), but that is not why we are unhappy with the install. Rather: - Despite the fact our ceiling is flat and our skylights are flat, David installed the shades at a slight angle. When I confronted him about it, he stated he was trying to follow the wall around the skylight. I disagree that his approach accomplished that. In any event, if there were options as to how the shades were going to be installed, we believe David should have conferred with us before unilaterally making a decision. - David also installed the solar panels on the opposite side of where we discussed. David stated he had no recollection of our prior conversation. We disagree that we never discussed this, but as above, if there were options, we believe David should have checked with us before installing. After confronting David about the shade with the most severe angle he begrudgingly reinstalled it (photos attached). Aleksandra did offer a partial refund and offered to have David come back out and reinstall the shade. However, we do not have the availability to monitor David the entire time he is here, which appears to be the only way to ensure things are done as we discussed. Additionally, the 3 of the 4 corner covers have fallen from the shade that David reinstalled and we do not relish the same thing happening to the other shades. The upshot is Aleksandra is easy to work with, but if you get David to do your install you may want to supervise his work.

Then at the HMB Pumpkin Festival this past October Bay Home & Window had a booth. We stopped, talked, and make an appointment for a consultant to come out. After a scheduling delay due to overbooking at the Festival we got an appointment. On the day of the appointment the window designer Sarah was on time. Based on our needs she made recommendations which we concurred with. Measurements were taken and an order was placed. We paid 1/2 advance. Over the next two month projected timeframe we received email updates. When our product arrived to the warehouse we received a call for installation date. This afternoon our window installer arrived within the two hour window. Robert A. He was friendly and very competent. He completed our installation in 1/2 hour. We're very pleased with Bay Home & Window from start to finish.

Replacing condo windows on a busy boulevard in San Francisco is complex with many moving parts. I…read moreoutlined the scope of the job gathering and researching the following entities before committing dollars to the project: Review CC&R Restrictions and getting HOA approval Identifying restrictions and window standards with the San Francisco Planning Department Identifying a Window Vendor with a bonded and insured Licensed Contractor with favorable reviews in the installation of the windows. I gathered quotes from (4) window companies comparing apples to apples after reading every review. What the other companies did not disclose was the complexity of installing fire rate windows except for Deluxe Window. Felix is not just a salesman but one with decades of knowledge and experience in the field. Felix disclosed that I would need scaffolding to install (3) fire rated windows and that the custom order would take 16 weeks for build. Also, that I would need written permission from my neighbor to add the scaffolds to reach my unit on the fourth floor. I appreciated the honesty with potential road blocks that can be resolved and dealt with early on in the project with open communication. None of the other companies that came out to quote me disclosed this information. Deluxe estimates were in line and comparable. Throughout the project, I was in constant communication with Darja who sent email outlining steps to guide me through the process from billing, materials, deadlines and installation. 16 weeks sounds like a long time to build windows but Fyre Tec windows are quality worth the wait. I also went with Anlin single hung windows for the ease of cleaning and life time warranty transfers. My installation took three days to complete with installer George paying close attention to details in water proofing, sealant, foam installation, caulking and trimming the frames. The City Building Inspector signed off to continue work and the second appointment to get final sign off of the permit went through without a hitch. The project was work but Deluxe Windows and the company's competent staff mentioned above help make this into a successful work in progress to final completion. The Deluxe staff were there to answer every and all of my questions. The windows look fabulous and sound proofing has helped minimize the busy street noise.

It's funny, as they say everything can be realized in comparison, and it's certainly true. I have recently had to change out my HVAC, two AC units, two coils and furnaces... Everything that could have gone wrong with that experience did. They overpromised and underdelivered, with change orders and price that was well above the quote... Over the years, I have done various things for the home, but no other company stood out enough for me to go out of my way to provide an opinion. With Deluxe Windows, the experience felt right from the first call. I went on Google searched for a few places, but liked their website. It was clean, informational, and showed starting prices, which was not the case with many others, leaving you wondering what you are getting yourself into... I called and got Yanek on the phone, who happened to be one of the owners. I loved that I got a person on the phone who knew something about the product and service, rather than getting the "lead farm" experience, where you call and they get your info, and sell it to the highest bidder, often selling it to a service who might have bad reviews and iffy at best. I had explained to Yanek what I was looking for, and within 5 minutes, had received more information about my own patio doors that I was trying to replace, then I had know to date. I had found out that I had Aluminum Doors, (not something I knew of the bat), I had found out that there are numerous manufacturers, but not all produce Aluminum. I had not replaced windows in my home since I had purchased it, which are still in decent shape, but the patio doors, being in high use, gave out over time. Locks and hinges were broken, seals were broken, screens were barely staying on rollers. I needed 6 new doors, but wanted them to match what I currently had. Felix provide me with a couple of brands, right over the phone that I should research, on their site, which I did, which allowed me to be more informed for when he was going to come to my house to measure the doors and provide an estimate. I had scheduled a free in home estimate, which went like a breeze. Felix had arrived on time, and spent 15 minutes measuring the the doors. As it turns out, something I did not really know, most windows and doors do not come in standard sizes and generally are made to order. Next day, I received a written estimate for Milgard Aluminum doors. Milgard is a great brand as I found out after doing research, and I wanted to install something that would have a great warranty and something that would last. I had then called another company and had gotten another Estimate that was a bit higher than that of DW. Of course I had also negotiated a bit with Yanek, and got a bit more of a better deal, and had decided to go with them. Doors were ordered, took couple weeks. Got permits and scheduled the install. The installation guys were super knowledgeable, efficient, and did a great job. One day and all 6 doors were installed. Second day, they did the trim and I was done. All in all, super professional service, highly knowledgeable and great value! Couldn't recommend it more.
