We just had Bay Home & Window install plantation shutters in our entire home (16 windows) and then had them put in a wall bed/office combo. OMG I can't begin to describe what a difference it makes in our home. The wood shutters are amazing (they are made by Windwood). I knew I would like shutters but I had no idea what a difference they would make to the overall look and feel of our home. We feel like our home has been made over like on one of those tv shows. Working with their designer was such an easy process and he totally helped us figure out which type of shutter would work best (they had several to choose from). The installer did a great job, showed up on time and had us go through every shutter when he was done to check the work. We found one small issue with a forgotten nail hole and he immediately filled it and apologized! Totally unnecessary. The wall bed and office came a week later with a different installer. He was in and out in about 8 hours and turned our guest room into a usable office when we do not have any guests staying over which is 98% of the time. The material they used was a laminate (they had wood too it but it costs more) and we can't really tell the difference. It looks really beautiful. Now I have a man cave and I can finally get my computer and desk out of our family room. I love this company and will use them for my closet later this year. five stars for service, quality and freakin nice people. read more

My husband and I talked to some people from Bay Home & Window at the Pleasanton fairgrounds this past summer about getting some plantation shutters for our french door in the dining room. We received a phone call and set up a day for a consultation. From the very beginning to the end Bay Home & Window employees were the most professional people I have ever had the privilege of doing business with. Chris was our Design Consultant and he was very knowledgeable,patient and put NO pressure on us at all. Even after he left we had another question and we called him on his cell. Omar came another day and did all the measurements. He too was very good at what he does. With the small space,and odd measurements of the windows we were a little unsure if it was even possible. He was sure they could make it happen. The waiting was the hardest part! Although it gave my husband the time to paint the doors,and we needed to get a new and different dead bolt and door knob, as the ones on would not work with the new shutters. Off to an excellent beginning! I was concerned that I had missed my window of opportunity at Costco--last day of the Graber promotional at my local Costco (6/14/20). The Graber rep at Costco assured me that as long as I was on the appointment list by the end of that business day, I would qualify for the program as advertised. On Wednesday, the design specialist, Amber C. arrived on time and ready to listen to my window covering needs and wants. Approximately a year ago, I ordered Graber window coverings for the new addition and have been VERY pleased with the outcome. I took Amber on a tour to view what had already been done and assured her that I wanted to continue with the same color theme and types of coverings. She gathered the facts, listened to what I wanted to do in the current renovation areas and presented a variety of options to consider. She helped me understand some of the changes in product design (vertical blinds) that have occurred since I placed the original order. Outstanding Estimate and Ordering Experience with Bay Home & Window! I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Bay Home & Window, thanks to their senior design consultant, Khyle Shiffer! I called Home Depot at 4:45 PM yesterday, and within 10 minutes, Bay Home & Window reached out to schedule a free in-home design consultation. By 9:30 AM the next morning, Khyle was at our home with samples in hand, ready to help us find the perfect window treatments. Khyle was incredibly friendly, detailed, patient, and professional throughout the entire process. By 12:30 PM, he provided two thorough estimates, one for all 37 windows in our home and another for 17 windows in the bedrooms. He made the entire process so easy and pleasant, guiding us through every step with expertise and care. Just three hours later, we signed the contract! From the first phone call to finalizing our order for 17 roller shades, everything was completed in under 24 hours. A very positive experience from sales through installation. My wife and I had been thinking about having shutters installed for many years. As circumstance would have it we stumbled upon a booth for Bay Home and Window at a Danville street fair. Our designer, Shamon, was very flexible in regard to scheduling an appointment time convenient to us. He also explained the various product options we had. What impressed me the most about this meeting is that we indicated we were also looking at another product. Instead of bad-mouthing the competition Shamon said it was also a fine product and that we'd likely be satisfied with them as well. Not common in a sales situation. Our installer, Jesse, was very personable and professional. He was on time and completed the job within the time window that was communicated to us. He was very polite and left our home as clean as when he walked in. I would say the only negative was the time it took to get the shutters (about three months) though that was not unexpected as it was clearly communicated both by Shamon and on the Sales Agreement. I engaged Bay Home and Window through Costco for a project involving the installation of motorized roller shades and double shades (sheers and blackouts) for each window. Despite encountering initial frustrations and complexities due to the project's scope and the inclusion of large wide shades, I persisted. Throughout the process, there were several missteps and onsite visits were necessary to ensure accurate measurements before placing orders. When the blinds finally arrived from the factory, installation revealed unsightly wrinkles on two wide blackout blinds, necessitating a reorder. Eventually, a set of blinds deemed acceptable was received and installed, with some minor adjustments made to ensure optimal functionality. Although the project took longer than anticipated, I am ultimately satisfied with the outcome. I was lucky enought to find Bay Windows 7 years ago when I bought my condo. They installed plantatin shutters on my sliding glass door, then I had them install plantation shutters on all the windows. The experience has always been outstanding from start to finish. They stand behind their product... 5 years latter I had a minor issue with one of the shutters and no questions asked they sent out their guy to repair the problem at no cost. I just had them install a closet organizer in my walk in closet and I love it!! You get what you pay for and the rep listened to my needs and customized it for a wall of shoes and in a price I could afford. The installer was great and had me check everything before he left . It looks great and best of all it is not a flimsy product... just like everything else I won't have to worry about it not holding up to daily use. I highly recommend bay home and windows. We ordered our shutters after visiting a home show. The sales rep had many pics of what they would look like closed. Took 10 weeks to arrive and VERY disappointed. The pictures of what they would look like did NOT include that we can never open our shutters. They only had the closed shutter look. They are not evenly spaced around the window, looks like someone couldn't use a measuring tape. 1 inch above the window frame and left side is a 1/4 inch and right side is 1/2, VERY shoddy. when we called to complain, they sent another workman who indicated that we ordered outside of the window and this was it. When ordering, specific questions were asked that it would be similar to another shutter winder we had. Very ugly to open. Completely stuck with a closed shutter. Rather than being a plus in resale value this will be a negative. If anyone chooses to buy from this supplier, make sure you get open and closed pictures. They do not stand by thier product and quality is inadequate. J Wilson read more

I have plantation shutters on all of my windows (except the bathroom) that were installed by Bay Home and Window many years ago. Recently, due to sun exposure, some of the magnetic clips that lock the window in place have been failing and needed simple replacement. I called Bay Home and Window and got a return call from VP of Service Bob Van Landingham. Bob was very cordial and professional. Not only did he give me sufficient replacement magnetic clips to last for several years, but also gave me a supply of the new locking clips they are currently using on their new installs to get around the sun damage issue. Talk about great service. No charge for any of the replacement parts! I picked up my replacement supply the same day and with a simple do it yourself installation of the replacement clips and I was done! Great kudos go out to Bay Home and Window for their after-sale treatment of their customers! Will definitely do business with this company again in the future! read more

We thought that we were going to have to get rid of half of our clothes because of our lack of hanging space and shelving. Then we went to the Home and Garden Show and saw the Bay Home & Window people. We signed up for an in home consultation right then and there. After meeting with Cherie, we decided to have all of our closets redone and as a result, we have doubled our hanging space and added shelving for other clothes! We never thought that our closets could have held that much. We also had Cherie design a special cabinet to house all of my husbands' guitars. On top of the guitar cabinet is a bookshelf with open shelving and closed door shelving. It is so beautiful! Our next project will be shutters and when we are ready to do them, we will be calling Bay Home & Window. I have a 12 ft wide sliding glass door which gets full sun in the afternoon. It is also our main traffic route in and out of our backyard...a difficult design problem in a very large room. I went through Costco and Mindy (designer) came out for the initial consultation. She listened patiently and took notes of all of our likes and dislikes. We ended up with a sunshade system at an amazing price...less than half of what I expected. No pushy sales, just wanted to solve my problems. The install crew was equally good. They call for an appointment and gave a 1 hour window. The guys were on time, took their shoes off to come in, covered my floors during the installation and took all the garbage with them. Mr. Wildman was the sales person/designer and listened to everything I wanted and what I didn't need. He was patient and willing to work as long as it took to get the design right. The man who came to measure was awesome and efficient. He also realized a modification should be made to the design to allow for easier access to the attic hatch--genius!
