The bunk house brings a fun, outdoorsy vibe that is perfect for hunting trips or just hanging out with a large group. And the newest addition, the Cactus Hotel, can be a mixture of both! You have the option of renting one room at a time or the whole thing, depending on how large of a group you have. Each has its own bathroom and access to the common living area (which is super cozy and great for just hanging out- we escaped a rainstorm in here our first night!) The Chaparrel Ranch has free range chickens and ducks as well as a pen of goats. You may also encounter the steer that roam the surrounding pastures. The staff was very helpful with all thing requested I had a problem figuring out how to work the remote for the tv couldn't figure out the volume and the young man came to my room to show me and I felt less than able once he showed me how it worked. I was told only some king-size bedrooms come with a microwave,they did not have any other king-size beds available so we moved to a room with 2 queens not very happy but it did have a microwave. The room did not have any empty plugs so we had to ask management for an adapter. There is NO ice machine. They use a cooler and fill it with ice ( very unsanitary). The breakfast consists of bagels and muffins. If you want something warm you pay extra. The room was clean the bed was comfortable,but Not worth $155 + tax about $185 total.I saw a $100 charge on my account. They put a hold on your card.I called tonight to ask how long it would take to be released and was told it could take 4 days. Also was told I could be charged $5 for a make up stain on a wash cloth if it doesn't come off. UNBELIEVABLE.

Rooms are very clean and furnished with queen or king size beds, table and chair, chest, futon/sofa, flat screen TV, and refrigerator. We stopped around 10:30 PM and there was no staff, but there was a number on the door to call so we did. Amy answered the phone, described rooms, and quoted us a very reasonable price, then came over to let us in. She gave us a tour of the public areas of the hotel including the kitchen - rooms include continental breakfast from 5-10:30 AM. Coffee all day. Highly recommend this place.

We left with a greater understanding and appreciation for what it takes to be a steward to this beautiful place. Patrick's staff is also very friendly and happy to show you around. Aaron and Nathan both helped to show us a great time. Our weekend flew by - filled with hunting and horseback adventures.
