I am not complaining about this bill - okay, I got the service so I would pay them, even though neither I was told at that time of service. But with concerning about too much dental cost I paid this year for my children, I asked them for a pre-estimation for one of my kids upcoming treatment so I can better know how much I would pay for the service. The receptionist refused to submit any pre-estimation because she doesn't know what exactly my daughter would get for her next appointment. Well, she had an appointment in two weeks and they better know what kind of service they would provide with. I worked at an insurance company before, and majority of dental offices submit pre-estimation for themselves and customers for better idea how much would be paid by insurance and would be patient's responsibility. It is a simple paper work any dental provider can provide to their customer because they know the service codes and their service fees that we don't know in advance. She finally said I may pay around $400 if my insurance doesn't pay any, and I need figure it out my responsibility on my own. I asked them to cancel my upcoming appointment, she said "Okay, perfect!"

I'm so glad Country Club dental proved me wrong!! The front staff here is superb. They are friendly and available to answer questions. It has always been easy to schedule and reschedule my appointments. I also have not had any problems with them accepting my insurance. They even offer a membership plan so that you don't need insurance to have dental services here if you become a member! I was seen by Dr. Gray and his assistant Sammie. Both are absolutely fabulous. They are very friendly, funny, and personable. Two weeks ago I had a dental cleaning. Sammie was very gentle taking topical pictures of my teeth. I think there was another device used to detect the density of my teeth too. I was impressed (and never got this type of service in Chicago!). They really check for everything here! Dr. Gray thoroughly reviewed my teeth, X-rays, gum recession and density and photos of my teeth. I was really impressed with the examination and the technology used here. They really care about dental health. At the end of my appointment I was even given an option of a manual toothbrush or a sonicare type replacement head for my electric toothbrush. WHAT?!!? My mind was blown that I had these options! During my appointment I had mentioned that my Chicago dentist had recommended to fill cavities of two of my wisdom teeth and that I wanted to move forward with that procedure. I also mentioned that I was prescribed some special toothpaste to prevent further decay and wanted that refilled. Dr. Gray immediately called in the prescription to my pharmacy to refill the toothpaste and we scheduled another appointment for a cavity filling. Done and done! Today....two weeks later...I just got my two cavities filled and felt compelled to write this Yelp review for Dr Gray and his team at Country Club Dental (and these days I'm only writing reviews for those places that are truly special to me). I'm not the type of person that is usually scared of the dentist, but I was anxious today because of my small mouth and possible difficulty maneuvering within the small space. But they had all the tools necessary to make this experience SO EASY. My small mouth was not an issue at all and I did not feel any pain! I had to open my eyes every so often just to check if my mouth was still being worked on because I was so comfortable and didn't feel anything during the procedure! They also had a device (that amazed me because I never had it in Chicago) that allowed me to comfortably rest my mouth, while still keeping it open, and sucked up the particles/water in my mouth during the procedure. I'll be annoyed if Dr. Gray gets booked up because of this review but life isn't all about me so I'll be okay to share him and his team. ;-) I initially heard about Country Club dental from a friend who raved about Dr. Fung. I'm sure all the dentists here are wonderful but I'm sticking with Dr. Gray. =)

My whole family has been going here for years. While going to the dentist is never fun, the…read moredentists, hygienists and staff are super pleasant and always seem happy to help. My son had a ton of cavities when he was a bit younger, and they did such a good job with him. The dentist even called us those nights my son had work done to check in and see how he was feeling. My insurance won't cover my deep cleaning with numbing with my regular dentist. My regular dentist told me to give this clinic a call because they do. The receptionist kept saying "We don't have a periodontist." I asked her "Do you have a dentist for a deep cleaning with numbing?" She said "Well, yes, but we (and she sighed) don't have a periodontist." I don't need a periodontist. I don't need an implant, my gums and jaw are not weak. I called my regular dentist office back and was referred to a different office. I called the new office with no issue. They knew exactly what I needed. No muss no fuss. I really don't know what this lady's problem was, but she must really hate her job.

With Dr. Tippins's retirement and new ownership, it's no longer "wellness" focused. I had a prior health condition that raised concern for surgery so he had me contact my primary doctor to schedule a pre-op to make sure I was good/safe for surgery. This all was a smooth process. Out of interest after reviewing other patient's reviews, I wanted to have Dr. Peters do the impacted teeth removal surgery. Nothing against Dr. Schwarzkopf as his biography seems very impressive. I just saw a really good shout out for Dr. Peters and took interest in her work. During my surgery day, the lady at the front desk was very kind and professional. The nurses were lovely and had a lot of patience. Dr. Peters approach was very professional. Definitely had her game face on and was ready to pull some teeth out. When I was woken up by one of the nurses, she helped me up and walked with me to the exit. Before I got into the car, my groggy but happy self couldn't help but give the super kind nurse a hug. They were a great team and that office only gave good vibes. The after care kit makes me feel spoiled as they provided a very good quality head wrap, vanilla mint lip balm(my favorite) and basic necessities for post impacted teeth removal surgery. They also provided papers with guidance for post surgery care. Loved the experience and would recommend to anyone!
