He delayed my treatment and wouldn't even say hello, whenever he had to interact with me (which were rare occasions). I assumed that he didn't realize the difficulty of the case, and knew he was probably not capable of doing the job. He could have just said so, instead of treating me in such an unethical, inhumane and humiliating fashion at the most vulnerable time in my life. His assistant probably noticed and attempted to make up for his rude and unprofessional behavior, and that was very appreciated (she is a sweetheart.) His hygienists are amazing and I am so thankful for them. Do us all a favor and retire, Dr. Margeas! You ARE NOT God's gift to dentistry, as you think you are. I had a prior health condition that raised concern for surgery so he had me contact my primary doctor to schedule a pre-op to make sure I was good/safe for surgery. This all was a smooth process. Out of interest after reviewing other patient's reviews, I wanted to have Dr. Peters do the impacted teeth removal surgery. Nothing against Dr. Schwarzkopf as his biography seems very impressive. I just saw a really good shout out for Dr. Peters and took interest in her work. During my surgery day, the lady at the front desk was very kind and professional. The nurses were lovely and had a lot of patience. Dr. Peters approach was very professional. Definitely had her game face on and was ready to pull some teeth out. When I was woken up by one of the nurses, she helped me up and walked with me to the exit. Before I got into the car, my groggy but happy self couldn't help but give the super kind nurse a hug. They were a great team and that office only gave good vibes. The after care kit makes me feel spoiled as they provided a very good quality head wrap, vanilla mint lip balm(my favorite) and basic necessities for post impacted teeth removal surgery. I have anxiety disorder so they are able to use "gas" to keep me relaxed. My periodontal problems are gone and so are five cavities and now I see him three times a year with very little anxiety to keep my periodontal issues under control. He even worked me in the same day for an emergency. Delta Dental and all forms of Medicare and other insurers are accepted. If you don't have dental insurance no worries, they will write up a payment program. As long as Dr Thies is in business I will always go to him; I can't imagine going to a different dentist.

Seemed perfect. When the receptionist answered I could barely hear them and it sounded like they didn't know what they were supposed to say. New person maybe? So, I asked if there were any appointments I could schedule for the near future because I am looking for a new dentist and need to establish care. Another apprehensive response but this time it also sounded like I was being unreasonable, silly and presumptuous that they'd have availability. Then I wanted to make sure I heard properly and was disconnected. No formal goodbye or anything. I called back and this time just got a "hello" like they're answering their own personal phone. So I ask if it's Franklin Family Dentistry and they say yes and I suggest that they remove the accepting new patients verbiage from their site because that might be helpful to avoid people calling thinking they can get care established. The response was that they're not accepting new patients and I said I understood that, just offering some advice. Look, I don't know who's answering the phone these days, maybe they're new, maybe it was a bad morning, but it's not a good look and it isn't going to translate well to current patients nor new ones. My suggestion: Train reception and all staff within to respond with tact, positivity and compassion. Some professionalism in a healthcare setting. If they cannot, then maybe this isn't their jam. Have the website and socials reflect the current business goals and services. If you're not accepting new patients, none of your outlets should state you are until you are. Ignoring those two basic details will cost any business their longevity. People will just go where the business is providing the quality communication and services. Good luck and take care.
