This place is in the COUNTRY. You turn into a windy gravel road to get to the farm. Admission is $17, except 2 & under (free) and 1st responder ($15). Friendly staff. Great place with plenty to do for all ages. They have a lot of teeter totter & swings throughout the farm. Our favorites were the 3 levels of slides & barrel (more like giant PVC) roll, so fun! The "hayride" was more like slow tractor ride, no hay. The corn maze was barely a maze, we got through it in less than 5 minutes, wish it was more challenging. There are 4 main food trucks - nacho items, bbq burger, Mac & cheese items, frito pie items, ranging from $8-12 per portion, ok size portions but, as expected, more on pricey side. A bottle of water is $2. Alternatively, you can bring your own food & drink & have a picnic, as there are a lot of tables & chairs throughout & they don't prohibit outside food & drinks (which is NICE). The only things that you would have to pay for are axe throwing, apple shooting, & feeding animals (2 for $5 dry feed, $8 bottle feed). Our group had 2 adults (over 40yo), 13 & 14 yo, 12 & 11yo, 8 & 6 yo. The 2 teenagers did get bored after about 1.5 hours (naturally) but rest of us had fun! Plenty of picture spots. A little out of the way from central DFW, but SO much fun and so worth the drive. We were between going to Hall's Pumpkin Farm again or making the drive to Shadow Creek Pumpkin Farm, and opted for the latter since there were many kid-friendly things that were included with the admission price. There's a corn maze, two jumping pads with different age groups (LOVE THIS), hay rides, a wagon ride, slides, plenty of photo ops and a little area with barnyard animals! It's a little pricey for some, but you can easily spend 3 hours here with the kiddos. My little one had so much fun, but I think it's more suited for kids 3 and older! Highly recommend! read more

Its about $12 to get in (if military or of certain age free or discounted) The location is no 15 acres with lots to do, from Hay rides, axe throwing, crown maze, petting zoo, build your own scarecrow and more. The farm has vendors that you can purchase food, snacks and drinks from and plenty of porta pottys. It's great for all ages with so much to do. I've been to several places throughout the years and if its free to get in you have to pay for all the things you do, where this one you pay a flat fee and enjoy the day. read more

We went today. We actually drove well over an hour to try out somewhere new. It was beautiful and clean and nice and shaded. The downside was nearly every single thing costs extra. Felt like I ran my card 10 times. Items were priced very high like a lemonade for 10 dollars. I also thought the animals section could have been better. This was such a fun farm to visit. Although you don't actually go out into a field to pick pumpkins, there are large stacks of pumpkins to choose from. There are so many fun activities for the family- building scarecrows, bouncing area, haystack climbing, maze, and much more! We spent hours exploring and checking all the activities out. There is literally a pumpkin patch about 10 minutes from my house, but I heard really good things about Shadow Creek that I drove the 50 something minutes to get there. My boys are still young 4 & 7 so they really enjoyed themselves. There is many things to do and some local food vendors. We ate BBQ sandwiches that were delicious, but they also give you the option to bring in your own picnic and there is many tables to sit down and enjoy your meal. Lots of good places to take fall pictures! The only thing that was kinda blah was the corn maze. It's easy to see over the husk so it was kinda boring and uneventful. However, I'm so glad we tried out this pumpkin farm and it will be part of our yearly traditions from now on. read more

Besides the giant pumpkin trampoline, pumpkin train, hayride, corn maze, washers, corn hole, and hayride there is also apple cannons and axe throwing. ​there are amazing photo opportunities and the pumpkin selection includes the Cinderella. We were looking for a pumpkin patch with wholesome fall vibes and found this place online and decided to take a chance since it's not too far from Fort Worth. Glad we did, the farm is a hidden gem and they know how to run a very well organized event. The only thing is it is more geared towards families with small kids so adults coming without kids will probably run out of things to do faster. But we still spent about 2.5 hours so we feel like we got our money's worth. Tickets were about $18 each for adults and included almost all activities. The hay ride was the biggest disappointment, they need to find a way to decorate it more so it has more of a theme, maybe add some Halloween decorations to look at. But the food vendors and pumpkin selection were great, they have every color and size pumpkin you could want. The food was overpriced of course but we didn't feel like overall they were trying to price gouge you at every turn. You are also allowed to bring in your own food and drink so you can do that if you are on a tighter budget. We got there early right when they opened and that's what I would recommend. They had a lot of friendly, easily identifiable staff there to help with directing parking and I noticed them picking up trash too. I think they should add more animals to the petting zoo because they all get full and tired early into the day with so many people. Would advise doing the petting zoo first right when they open because of this. Overall very happy though and had a fun time. Bonus points for clean porta potties and lots of benches, tables, and seating for taking a rest to soak in the Fall energy. read more

They did let us take as many pumpkins home as we liked for free since it was the last day. Nice gesture. A lot of nice spot for pictures. Our family LOVED Shadow Creek Pumpkin Farm. We did arrive at earlier around 12:30is on a Saturday during their pumpkin palooza. ALL their pumpkins $5 and under. We bought a ton pumpkins for everyone in the family. Left at 3:30 and we did all the activities. The entry cost is 10$ per person except 2 yrs and below are free. They accept DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS (YaaaY!) Here are a few key points : This place has your "Pinterest Fall Season" picture backgrounds everywhere. Later in the day around 3-5 pm the farm starts to get a bit crowded so expect lines. The longest was the hay ride with cute animal encounter at the end They have a lot of activities with in the farm from pumpkin tic tac toe to swings through out the farm, petting zoo, corn maze, pumpkin painting. Around the playground area it would be nice to have someone who monitors the "obvious"parenting rules that some parents forget. All kids are welcome in the jumpers which makes a bit harsh for the smaller kids and a couple of older ladies sat on the tic tac toe tables to eat her lunch, so maybe a sign for the activities (For the elderly) A lot of seating areas the terrain is a farm so use your common sense don't wear your 6 inch Louboutin Pumps. They had great drink options, they had a company who sold mugs and refills for the entire day. The drinks where delicious and made from all natural options. (My husband already claimed the collectible mug as his beer mug) They had popcorn, coffee, and shaved ice which was great but I wished they had more venders with kids options. Maybe pumpkin shaped Pretzels, or having local food trucks / venders. We would of stayed longer if we didn't get hungry but I got the chicken nugget PB&J type eaters so we had to go. Very big property with a LOT of trees and shade it was very comfortable with a nice breeze the whole time and it's hot out. Haystacks, scarecrow making, petting zoo, hay rides there is plenty to do. Owners have done a wonderful job, very welcoming and they even have rides to your car with all the magical pumpkins you buy. The mini donuts are delicious. Great bbq sandwiches. Very nice place for fall pictures. It has been raining a lot in Ellis county but still with rain boots this place is doable in all the mud and slush. We went on the pumpkin palooza day which is also the only day of the week they r open. Otherwise they r open only on sat-sun. Take cash for popcorns and other snacks. The pathway is very rugged with stones and dirt so dress accordingly. There r wagon available for haulin kids and pumpkins free of cost. I recommend either a all terrain stroller or one of those buggies to carry the kids. My son is almost 2.5 and walked pretty much the whole time we were there. Parking is free. Per person was $10 and 4 and under are free. There is senior ( $2 off) and military discount ( not sure). read more

We luv Shadow Creek and drive over an hour every season to visit this. Parents need to comprehend that it's up to them, not the Farm, to keep a close eye on your children and talk to them prior to activities on how to conduct themselves. I know kids will be kids but we've warned our grandchildren that we've leaving if unruly actions ensue. It's a very family fun oriented outing we look forward to every year. Shadow Creek does a great job with all the COVID rules, telling customers to wear a mask or keep your family six feet apart from other family's. This was an incredible experience. We had a fantastic time. There is so much more than just a pumpkin patch. There was BBQ sandwiches, taco nachos, cakes and ice cream sandwiches, hot coffee, unlimited refill drinks and my favorite, hot caramel corn. Prices are very reasonable at $7-8 a sandwich. All the food seems to be local vendors. All the staff are wearing masks and have hand cleaning areas. There are tons of games for the whole family like coin toss, tic tax toe, corn hole and even axe tossing. We enjoyed the hay ride, slides, huge hamster wheel, and corn maze, there are tons of places to take fall family pictures and if you want professional pictures they have that option as well. Plan on staying for at least a couple hours if you have kids. My advice is to get there early as the parking lot does fill up. If you get there late, I did see staff using a motorized four wheeler shuttling folks to the entrance. The cost is only $10 per person and is a tremendous value. Absolutely loved Shadow Creek Pumpkin Farm. Was a great place for my toddler to run and enjoy himself. We are able to play with goats and touch alpaca's, swing on tree swings, slide, see saw and jump on the largest jump pad I've ever seen. This place is awesome for pictures. This is the first and only time I will visit this farm. We went with our homeschool group for "homeschool day", when we arrived the parking lot was filled with school buses. Several schools were there and they didn't watch the students at all. My son tried to bounce on the stacks of hay and was pushed off by a student wearing a Mansfield shirt. The jump zone was a wresting ring. They had two big slides you use a sack to go down, we waited for 30 mins to try and get one but the kids that had them just passed them off to friends. The corn maze is maybe 3 feet tall you can see the exit. Hayride goes behind someone's house, around a stock pond and back, not worth the wait. When you advertise for homeschool day it shouldn't be a day with field trips. Many people in our group homeschool because we have children with special needs. Homeschool days are suppose to be a day not as crowed so our children don't become overwhelmed and have a safe environment to participate in actives. Mainstay farm is a much better option, and it's cheaper. read more

Beautiful property; very poorly run. Long line for everything from parking to admissions to coffee to bathrooms. Very little to do without waiting 30mins+. If you are going for photos ops, then it might be worth it. Slides and blob are all small. If they can get a handle on the logistics, it would be a great place for toddlers.
