This year there is a Fraser Fir shortage, and the prices were higher than last year. However, it is the experience that has brought myself and the family back for two years in a row. The kids love walking among the trees under a big tent. The couple working the tent make little trees and put them in little scrape wood stands for the mini-pirates to take home. So, to me, the cost of a much better quality tree than Costco or Home Depot offer, was completely worth it. You can also find a place to look at animals - goats, donkey, chickens, etc. Scattered throughout the farm are various cars kids can hop into and take photos in. We went on the hayride, which was a nice 10 minute ride to see the Christmas trees. They also have a dedicated area to buy pumpkins. If you get hungry or thirsty, they have a lot of shaded areas to sit and eat. They sell food and beverages. Overall, it was a fun experience for the entire family.
